3. Trailblazer Community Group
The online Trailblazer Community is where you can find the Featured
groups, which are a subset of all groups that have been chosen by the
Trailblazer Community team at Salesforce. You can filter featured groups
by region, product, and interest. Trailblazers like you join these groups to
build their expertise, expand their networks, and get momentum around
common interests.
4. Types of local groups

Salesforce users.

10. Keys highlights from Winter’23
• Dynamic Forms Enhancements
• Dynamic Related List Filters
• Permission Set Enhancement
• Flow and Automation Updates
• Report & Dashboard
• LWC - BarcodeScanner
• Service Cloud Voice-Amazon Connect Enhancements
11. Dynamic Form Enhancement
• Dynamic forms are now available for
three core objects: Accounts (both
Business and Person), Contacts,
and Opportunities.
• We can now migrate the fields and
sections from page layouts as
individual components and configure
them like other components on the
page to display only the fields and
sections that users need.
• Particular fields or section can be
displayed based on condition by
setting via component visibility
12. Dynamic Related List Filters
• Previously, you could filter by only one picklist value but now
you can select multiple filter values for picklist fields. For
example, on the Account record page, filter a dynamic related
list to show all cases with a priority of High and a Status of New.
• Here are multiple properties to set on your “Dynamic Related
List – Single” component:
• Parent Record: You can choose to show records related
to this record or form a parent record.
• Related List: The Object you wish to display record from.
• Related List Label: Name your related list. This is useful
when creating filtered lists e.g. “Open Opportunities”.
• Related List Type: Display as List or Tile.
• Number of Records to Display: Show a maximum of 30
records in a dynamic related list.
• Show list view action bar.
• Related List Fields: Choose and sort the fields you want
to display. You can add up to ten fields, however, to display
more than four fields you will need to choose the ‘List’ type
and display in a main region.
• Sort Field: The field you wish to sort the list by.
• Sort Order: The order you want to sort the list by.
• Related List Filters: Add your filters to display only the
related records you need. You can add multiple filters but
you cannot use filter logic, therefore each filter will add
another “AND” criteria.
• Actions: Add Actions
• Set Component Visibility: As usual, you can choose to
add filters to set the component visibility so it only displays
when criteria are met. Perhaps some of your dynamic
related lists will only be relevant and visible to a particular
role or profile.
13. Permission Set Enhancement
Set Field-Level Security for a Field on Permission Sets
Instead of Profiles During Field Creation (Beta)
Proving that Permission Sets are the way forward and the best
practice option, Salesforce will now allow you to assign field
access based on Permission Sets instead of Profiles. This
feature will need to be enabled in User Management
Settings > Field-Level Security for Permission Sets During Field
Creation (Beta).
Manage Your Permission Assignments With the User
Access and Permissions Assistant
Permissions Helper has been renamed to User Access and
Permissions Assistant. This app was created by Salesforce and
is available on the AppExchange. User Access and Permissions
Assistant (salesforce.com)
Enable Permission Set Expiration and Enhanced UI
(Release Update)
You can assign an expiration date to a Permission Set or
Permission Set Group. When a Permission Set or
Permission Set Group passes the expiration date, a User
can lose access to the functionality granted in the
Permission Set or Permission Set Group.
14. Report & Dashboard
Among many updates for Reports and Dashboards, there are two in particular I want to call out – I think these will
apply to both users and admins alike!
Filter Custom Report Types by Salesforce Fields (Beta)
In a previous release we were granted the ability to filter report types based on Salesforce objects. The Winter ‘23
release takes this a step further and we are now able to find custom report types that contain a specific standard or
custom field. This functionality is currently in Beta.
Review a Custom Report Type’s Structure During Report Creation
This enhancement will enable you to see the structure of custom report types, showing the relationships between
joined objects. In addition, the tooltip (the blue box) will explain the join type e.g. Record A may or may not have
related B records.
15. Flow & Automation Update
Cut and Paste Flow Elements
Instead of using Copy + Paste to move and reorganize
elements in Flow, you can now use Cut + Paste. The
benefit? No need to delete the element you’ve copied or
change the API name of the new pasted element. To cut
an element, click the element and select Cut Element
(1).
Use Formula Builder in Flow Resources and
Collection Filter Elements
This change means that you can use the enhanced
formula builder in Flow, checking formula syntax and
catching errors as you work.
In and Not In operator
to check if a value is in a
collection of other values
without needing to use a Loop
Use ISCLONE in Record-Trigger Flow Formulas
Record-triggered flows for new and updated records now
support the ISCLONE formula function – this means you
can now re-create any Workflow Rules or Process Builder
processes that use ISCLONE in Flow.
16. LWC - BarcodeScanner
• Use BarcodeScanner’s new features to create applications that work
as a self-service kiosk. The front-facing camera support makes for a
better user experience when scanning barcodes, and now you can
customize the UI to fit your aesthetic and business needs.
17. Service Cloud Voice-Amazon Connect
Enhancements
• Amazon Connect outbound campaigns, a feature of Amazon Connect
and formerly known as high-volume outbound communications, you
can proactively communicate across voice, SMS, and email to quickly
serve your customers and improve agent productivity, while supporting
compliance with local regulations.
• Service Cloud Voice with Amazon Connect now includes Amazon
Connect outbound campaigns. This means you can contact hundreds
to millions of customers daily with outbound, predictive dialing.
