The Great Training Robbery: Protect Your Online InvestmentBizLibrary
Delivering learning to employees is only the first key step in improving performance. Employees have to retain the gains in knowledge and skill or the time, energy and effort that went into the program were for nothing – wasted.
The challenge for many organizations and professionals is that we focus so intently on developing employee learning resources, we overlook the importance of whether our employees retain any of what they learn. As it turns out, the combination of microlearning and the ongoing reinforcement of lessons learned is crucial to increasing the ROI of your training program.
Recent research is helping us learn more about exactly what reinforcement methods really work, and why. Understanding how to extend the learning process and shift employee training from being a series of events to being an ongoing process is vital to promoting ongoing learning in your organization and getting real behavioral results.
In this session, Dean Pichee, CEO of BizLibrary and veteran in the employee training industry, discusses microlearning, “the forgetting curve”, and methods, techniques and tools (including video) that can reverse the forgetting curve and lead directly to much higher returns on investment and result in improved performance.
You’ll leave this webinar with actionable steps to protect your training investment and increase the overall performance in your organization.
Key Learning Objectives:
Why Microlearning makes the biggest impact.
Learn about the forgetting curve, and the impact it’s having on your organization.
Understand the importance of post-training reinforcement and how to incorporate into your training program.
Get actionable steps to improve your ROI for employee training.
Congratulations! You’ve developed the greatest training program ever. The content is ideally suited to your business problems, the technology works, and the employees seem to like it. There’s only one problem… nobody knows what to do with it when they return to their jobs.
If that’s not a nightmare scenario for a training professional, we don’t know what is!
Ultimately, we need our employees to learn, retain, and then apply what they learn to improve their knowledge and skills and reach higher levels of performance. That’s the goal. But how many times do we fail to see the ROI we expect? How many times do we see well-executed content NOT applied on the job? How many times do we have to go back to the CFO and explain why the ROI we expected never materialized.
Kristi McNabb, Revenue Operations Manager at BizLibrary, will help you discover how and when employees apply learning to improve their job performance, explain the role managers play in helping employees retain training and drive ROI, and help you understand how microlearning can be a great tool to help employees in their moment of need.

How to Give Feedback and Performance Reviews Like a Coach, Not a BossBizLibrary
Did you have a favorite coach when you were younger?
Were they your favorite because of the way they led you and your team through successes and failures? How they gave encouraging feedback? The trusting relationship you had? A good manager and employee relationship should mimic the investment your favorite coach had in you and your team.
According to a 2018 Workplace Learning Report, 94% of employees would stay at a company longer if it invested in their career more. But your HR team probably doesn’t have the bandwidth to coach each employee. Turning your managers into coaches who can provide employees with support and give constructive feedback will help both individuals and the company succeed.
Join BizLibrary and BambooHR as they explain the importance of developing coaching skills in your managers, so you can retain your talent and lead your company to success.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- How to develop a coaching mindset in your managers and leaders
- Why regular feedback is important for employee success
- How frequent employee recognition helps solve common business challenges
- The best times to give feedback and performance reviews

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
