The Young Executive Development Program (YEDP) will be held April 13-15, 2015 in Washington D.C. at the Hyatt Regency Washington. The $895 registration fee covers the cost of speakers, materials, and most meals. Applicants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and additional costs. The YEDP provides industry leadership training for professionals under 50 years old with at least three years of experience. It focuses on transportation infrastructure funding and the federal policymaking process. Applications are due February 27, 2015.

Admission is competitive. Applicants should be under
50 years of age. Applicants also should have at least
three years of industry experience, have made a
significant contribution to the work of their firm or
organization, and shown evidence of strong
leadership potential for the industry.
Due to special recognition that will take place,
YEDP participants are expected to attend the
2015 ARTBA National Convention held September
27-29 in Philadelphia, Pa.

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF)
will host its milestone 20th
Annual Young Executive Development Program (YEDP) April 13-15 in the Nation’s
Capital.
With more than 550 graduates from 200 companies, state contractor groups and public agencies, the YEDP is an
intensive, two-and-half day “101 Introduction to Federal & State Advocacy for Transportation Infrastructure Market
Development and Protection.” It provides rising leaders in the transportation construction and development sector
with a solid understanding of industry economics… how transportation work in the U.S. is funded and financed…
how actions by the federal government impact the industry… and how they—and their company or agency—can
become politically engaged to help shape transportation policy.
Held in conjunction with ARTBA’s annual Federal Issues Program (FIP) and Transportation Construction Coalition
(TCC) Fly-In, YEDP fellows will have the opportunity to meet with their members of Congress about the need to
fix the Highway Trust Fund and pass a long-term highway and transit investment bill.
Applications are welcome from any sector of the transportation design and construction industry, including
private sector firms, government agencies, and colleges and universities. ARTBA membership is not required
to participate.

Each application form must be accompanied by a
detailed letter of nomination and recommendation
from a principal of the firm, senior executive within the
governmental agency or senior-level faculty member/
administrator at the university which employs the
applicant.
