CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
Welcome to the 2016 ARTBA National Convention!
This year’s meeting is very special because we are announcing
a transformational new direction in safety with the launch of the
“Safety Certification for Transportation Project Professionals ™”
(SCTPP) program! Developed by the industry’s brightest minds,
we believe this program is a game changer.
We will share the program details with you on Thursday, Oct. 6,
during a general session that begins at 10:30 a.m.You will not want
to miss this presentation!
Also on tap, Caterpillar Chairman & CEO Doug Oberhelman will
discuss “The State of American Business.”ARTBA senior staff will be
on hand to provide a federal transportation policy and regulatory
update, preview the November elections and transportation ballot
initiatives, and share a sneak peek at the 2017 market forecast.
The Chairman’s Banquet on Oct. 6 features entertainment by
veteran performer Ron Pearson, whom Hollywood Reporter calls
“a comic ball of fire.” Following the dinner, we will hold a reception
under the stars, and have telescopes and professional astronomers
on hand to give you a “tour of the universe.”
Special thanks to all of our sponsors, and to our host chapter,
the Arizona Transportation Builders Association, for helping make
the program a reality.
