This document provides an overview and summary of trends in the MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) market. It begins with an overview of the current MRO market size of $60.7 billion annually. It is projected to grow to $89 billion by 2023. Key trends discussed include increased aircraft retirements driving more deliveries, original equipment manufacturers taking a larger role in MRO, and the surplus parts market growing as more aircraft are dismantled for parts. The role of fleet dynamics like an aging fleet and fuel costs are reshaping the industry.

A Blended Wing Body (BWB) aircraft is a configuration where the wing and fuselage are integrated which essentially results in a large flying wing. BWB aircraft were previously called ‘tailless airplanes’ and ‘Flying-Wing aircraft’. The BWB configuration has shown promise in terms of aerodynamic efficiency, in particular for very large transport aircraft, because the configuration has a single lifting surface that means an aerodynamically clean configuration.
Passengers prefer airlines because the people want to reach destination faster and safer. Aviation industry is dependent on a number of industries. It is dependent on smooth and effective functioning’s of the different departments. The airlines are dependent on fuel, cabin crew, weather, flight crew, freight, load of the airplanes, flight dispatch scheduling. The Operational Control Centre (OCC) of the airplanes controls the different aspects and oversees the smooth functioning of the different organizations

Presented at the Royal Aeronautical Society Society conference, "Simulation-Based Training in the Digital Generation", highlighting how machine learning and big data analytics can be applied to achieve data-driven adaptive training.
Latest Innovations: Big-Data Analytics - Transforming Flight Operations
Today's aircraft produce roughly 5 gigabytes of data a month. Tomorrow's aircraft will produce more than 30 terabytes of data, exceeding traditional computing capabilities. Big-data analytical methods, cloud-based data warehousing, and software solutions for fast response data mining turns multiple sources of aviation data into actionable information. Data mining real-time flight data improves flight operations by providing better fidelity data for flight tracking, performance, and operating conditions, such as weather. Better data improves operations planning to optimize block times, minimize fuel burn, manage flight distruptions, and provide improved estimated arrival times for ground services management. Accurate, integrated flight operations data in real-time to support day-of disruption management, reducing the number of flight cancellations, delays, diversions, and improving operation reliability.

Aerospace and Defence Sector Diversification | ACMAIndia ACMA
Over the years the years, Indian auto component players have strongly integrated themselves into the global automotive supply chain primarily through their established manufacturing processes and world-class quality. They have been the torchbearers of Indian auto industry’s success story and a case study for our frugal manufacturing skills. The auto component sector has been the face of “Make in India” drive for more than a decade.
Indian defence and aerospace sector is fast emerging as the sunrise sector and will take the centre stage in government’s “Make in India” drive. The government’s push for indigenization in defence and growing interest from global commercial aerospace players to source from Indian suppliers, have opened up multiple supply chain opportunities for Indian private players.
We strongly feel, ACMA members are best positioned to grab these opportunities in the sector due to their proven manufacturing capabilities. The Indian auto component players have all the right ingredients in place to repeat the success story of automotive in aerospace & defence sector. This is the right time for the ACMA member companies to devise a clear strategy and come out with an action plan for the sector.
In this context, KPMG had been appointed by ACMA to assist them in their endeavour towards diversification into aerospace & defence. Our efforts have received overwhelming support from the global aerospace & defence companies and have been
successful in positioning ACMA as the right partner for the global OEMs and Tier1s who are looking at sourcing from India.
We are glad to jointly release the Aerospace & Defence sector diversification report with KPMG. The report captures the sector’s landscape, opportunities, challenges and outlines the road map for the ACMA members who are aspiring to be a part of the sector. We hope you will find this document useful and informative in planning your next steps.

Fit for Purpose Community Health Surveys: An Experiment in Three CommunitiesICF
Most public health programs are implemented and evaluated at the community level, but few public health data systems generate community measures. National health surveys are too small to provide useful community-level data. Conducting parallel community health surveys could substantially augment the benefits of national surveys, and operationalize findings on the local level. National health data (e.g., physical activity, obesity, cancer screening) becomes more meaningful if it can be compared to local data. Local data is more likely to drive local initiatives, but it becomes more compelling when it can be benchmarked against national trends.
Non-probability samples represent a potential alternative to traditional probability samples in “fit for purpose” designs which weigh the key components of overall success—including accuracy, timeliness, and cost. Specifically, non-probability web panels can generate usable sample sizes within the resources of local agencies. However, the sample must yield estimates that can be considered accurate and representative.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
