Modern Governor provides an e-learning platform for school governors with over 25 online modules covering topics like chairing meetings, church school governance, and new governor onboarding. The platform has over 80 local authority customers and aims to increase governor capacity through affordable online training. Modules are authored by subject matter experts and continuously reviewed/refreshed. The platform offers certificates and reports and allows governors to access training anytime online through Moodle. Its goal is to help address challenges from budget cuts and knowledge loss by facilitating low-cost, collaborative learning for the estimated 21,000 governors who will use the platform in 2013.
