INTRODUCTION
• Security is the most important factor today. Technology
develops day by day in the world. The crime gang also
improves their technology to perform their operation.
• So technology of security should modern with time
to protect the crime works. We decided to make a
security
• Project as our project. In this project we have use
the laser light to cover a large area.
• We know laser light goes through long distance with
out scattering effect. It’s also visible at source and at
incident point, otherwise invisible.
4
INTRODUCTION (continued)
• These two properties helps us to build up a modern
security system, which may name as “laser security”.
• When any person or object or cross over the laser line the
security alarm will ring and also the focus light will “on”
to focus the entrance of unauthorised person. We can
make a security boundary of single laser light by using
mirror at every corner for reflection.
5
LASER Security
System 6
7
PRINCIPLE:
• There are three essential components to a laser security
system: a laser, a detector and sensing circuit. The laser is a
concentrated light source that puts out a straight line
"pencil beam" of light of a single colour. The detector is
sensitive to light and puts out a voltage when the laser
light hits it. The detector is connected to the sensing circuit.
When the laser beam is interrupted and can't reach the
detector, its voltage output changes, and the circuit sense
the change and put out a warning signal.
8
OBJECTIVE:
 The core objective of this project is to
design a LASER Security System with
Laser and light dependent resistor, which
will protect the individuals from crime,
terror and threats in unsafe world in
order to stay safe and secure.

About Components:
• LASER: A laser is a device that emits light
through a process of optical amplification based
on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic
radiation. The term "laser" originated as an
acronym for "light amplification by stimulated
emission of radiation".
13
About Components:
• LDR (Light Dependent Resistor): A photoresistor
or light-dependent resistor (LDR) or photocell is a light-
controlled Variable resistor. The resistance of a
photoresistor decreases with increasing incident light
intensity, in other words, it exhibits photoconductivity: A
photoresistor can be applied in light-sensitive detector
circuits, and light and dark-activated switching circuits.
14
15
About Components:
• LED (Light Emitting Diode): A light-emitting
diode (LED) is a two lead semiconductor light source. It is
a pn-junction diode, which emits light when activated.
When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons
are able to recombine with electron holes within the
device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This
effect is called electro-luminescence, and the colour of the
light (corresponding to the energy of the photon) is
determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor
16
About Components:
• Buzzer: A buzzer or beeper is an audio signaling device,
which may be mechanical, electromechanical or
piezoelectric. Typical uses of buzzers and beepers include
alarm devices, timers and confirmation of user input such
as a mouse click or keystroke.
17
About Components:
• TRANSISTOR: A transistor is a semiconductor device
used to amplify and switch electronic signals and
electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor
material with at least three terminals for connection to an
external circuit. A voltage or current applied to one pair
of the transistor's terminals changes the current through
another pair of terminals. Because the controlled (output)
power can be higher than the controlling (input) power, a
transistor can amplify a signal. Today, some transistors
are packaged individually, but many more are found
embedded in integrated circuits
18
About Components:
• RESISTOR: A resistor is a passive two-terminal
electrical component that implements electrical
resistance as a circuit element. Resistors act to reduce
current flow, and, at the same time, act to lower voltage
levels within circuits. In electronic circuits resistors are
used to limit current flow
19
About Components:
• CAPACITOR: A capacitor (originally known as a
condenser) is a passive two-terminal electrical component
used to store energy electrostatically in an electric field.
The forms of practical capacitors vary widely, but all
contain at least two electrical conductors (plates)
separated by a dielectric (i.e. insulator)
20
About Components:
• BATTERY: An electric battery is a device consisting of
two or more electro-chemical cells that convert stored
chemical energy into electrical energy. Each cell contains a
positive terminal, or cathode, and a negative terminal, or
anode.
21
About Components:
PCB & Jump Wires:
• A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and
electrically connects electronic components using
conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from
copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive
substrate.
• A jump wire, is a short electrical wire with a solid tip at
each end (or sometimes without them, simply "tinned"),
which is normally used to interconnect the components in
a breadboard.
22
CONCLUSION-
Laser security system provides us the security against any
crime, theft in our day to day life and so people are installing
them in order to stay safe, secure and sound. Various
electronic security systems can be used at home and other
important working places for security and safety purposes.
It is a great opportunity and source of saving man power
contributing no wastage of electricity. The "Laser Security
System" is an important helping system. Using this system
robbery, thefts & crime can be avoided to large extend.
Avoiding thieves results in the safety of our financial assets
and thereby this system provides us protection against all.

  • 18. About Components: • TRANSISTOR: A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify and switch electronic signals and electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor material with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit. A voltage or current applied to one pair of the transistor's terminals changes the current through another pair of terminals. Because the controlled (output) power can be higher than the controlling (input) power, a transistor can amplify a signal. Today, some transistors are packaged individually, but many more are found embedded in integrated circuits 18
  • 19. About Components: • RESISTOR: A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. Resistors act to reduce current flow, and, at the same time, act to lower voltage levels within circuits. In electronic circuits resistors are used to limit current flow 19
  • 20. About Components: • CAPACITOR: A capacitor (originally known as a condenser) is a passive two-terminal electrical component used to store energy electrostatically in an electric field. The forms of practical capacitors vary widely, but all contain at least two electrical conductors (plates) separated by a dielectric (i.e. insulator) 20
  • 21. About Components: • BATTERY: An electric battery is a device consisting of two or more electro-chemical cells that convert stored chemical energy into electrical energy. Each cell contains a positive terminal, or cathode, and a negative terminal, or anode. 21
  • 22. About Components: PCB & Jump Wires: • A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. • A jump wire, is a short electrical wire with a solid tip at each end (or sometimes without them, simply "tinned"), which is normally used to interconnect the components in a breadboard. 22
