This document outlines the timeline and process for a 2010 Europe-wide survey of internet use among children and parents. The goals were to survey internet access, use, risks, parental mediation, and more across Europe over two years. The process included developing the survey through literature reviews, expert workshops, translations, cognitive testing, and piloting between 2009-2010. Fieldwork was conducted in 25 countries from May to October 2010. Analysis and reporting of key findings and recommendations was done through 2011. Special attention was paid to translation, ethics, sampling, and quality control throughout the multi-stage design and implementation process.
