Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1.
2. One type of social group that is represented in our film
opening is the young generation through the protagonist –
the young dead girl. A way in which she presented the
younger generation was through the clothing that she is
wearing.
The short dress, red heels, long socks, red lipstick and ring
all present young females between the age of 16 to 30.
This is because the society now consists of women
revolved around partying and going out which use there
sexuality to portray themselves as seductive and appealing
for the males. This is a typical stereotype which people
use to describe women as.
3. My film opening presents another social group of the
middle class. We see this through the professions shown in
our opening such as the forensic and the detective. These
type of jobs are considered as the higher professions which
can only be preformed by the middle class.
This again is a stereotype within the film industry as it
portrays a certain status due to their occupations and how
their daily lives are constructed. If our film opening was to
consist of professions such as a supermarket owner it
would present the working class which would be different
to the way middle class are portrayed.
4. Another social group that is presented in our film opening
would be women in the workforce. Our two introductory
characters are women in the working environment such as
forensics and detectives. This social group is a countertype
of how women are usually presented in a film e.g.
vulnerable, fragile, sensitive and mainly set in a housing
environment. Our film opening shows that a women can be
the oppressor and independent without needing to rely on
males for economic assets and be helped financially.
This is a positive image to be portraying on women as it
encourages women to be independent and confident in
working instead of being disconnected from the working
world. As we live in a modern society, the representation
fits in perfectly as women now are seen to be involved in
having a profession.
5. Overall, I believe that as we are in the modern society
some of the main social groups are the younger
generation, middle class and women in the workforce.
These factors were all portrayed in our film opening which
makes it suitable for the society we live in now and
attracts a variety of different type of audience.
