This document represents how different social groups are portrayed in a media product. Young adult women, specifically a news reporter who becomes a victim, are initially represented through stereotypes of always being victims and less vocal than men. However, this is challenged by portraying the woman as an educated, vocal character who gives a news report with strong posture while the man has bad posture and is silent. Young male criminals, like the stalker in the film, are shown reinforcing stereotypes of men preying on women through multiple female murders. But stereotypes of young men always being jokesters and of stalkers typically being older are challenged by portraying the isolated stalker as a young adult wearing tracksuits to add an unexpected element.
