Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

This occupational group includes technical support specialists and help-desk technicians. Technical support specialists respond to inquiries from their organizations’ computer users and may run automatic diagnostics programs to resolve problems. They also install, modify, clean, and repair computer hardware and software. Help-desk technicians deal directly with customer issues and companies value them as a source of feedback on their products. Network and computer systems administrators design, install, and support an organization’s computer systems. They are responsible for local-area networks (LAN), wide-area networks (WAN), network segments, and Internet and intranet systems.
3. WORKING CONDITIONS Computer systems technicians usually work in offices, computer rooms and at their clients' work places. They spend most of their time working with computers, and may also be required to crawl under desks and work in ceilings and other tight places.
4. EMPLOYMENT Getting a job as a computer tech. can be done anywhere considering that most places use computers in these times. The most known places would be schools, big businesses, and most government jobs.

As more and more homes have personal computers, the opportunities for home CBT, or computer based training increases. A person with a serious interest in becoming a computer technician will spend at least as much time trying to understand how a computer game works as they do actually playing the game. A college degree is not always required, certification in various areas of computers is particularly beneficial. Higher positions require at least a bachelor's degree in some form of computer or information technology in addition to real-world work experience. The average salary for computer technician jobs is $35,000. Average computer technician advancement salaries can vary greatly due to company, location, industry, experience and benefits.
6. JOB OUTLOOKS The job outlook for computer technicians seems bright. A computer technician's starting salary will vary depending on many factors, including location, experience, and certifications earned. However, regardless of starting salary, a computer technician career offers high growth potential.
7. EARNINGS Computer network technicians' salaries vary widely based on experience, certification, and place of employment. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the median annual wage for network technicians in 2004 was $60,600. According to the "Computerworld Salary Survey 2005" the median yearly wage for a network engineer was $70,365 in 2005.
