This document is a syllabus for an art history course on art since 1945 taught by Dr. Melissa Hall at Westchester Community College. The syllabus provides an overview of the course description, goals, format, textbook and discussion questions. The course is a survey of major movements and styles from 1945 to the present including Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Minimalism and Postmodernism. It will introduce students to important artists and theoretical concepts and examine how art developments relate to social and political contexts.
