The document discusses various film theory concepts including denotation versus connotation of symbols, iconography in different genres, narrative structures, and analyzing film clips. It provides examples of linear narratives like Get Out and non-linear narratives like Jigsaw. It also analyzes a clip from Star Wars, noting how lighting, costumes, music and camerawork are used to depict the contrast between good and evil characters and convey a sense of danger for the good characters.
The document provides an evaluation of Luke Headland's film production project. It summarizes the research, planning, time management, technical and aesthetic qualities, audience appeal, and peer feedback aspects of the project. For the research, Luke found reliable sources like IMDB helpful and was able to implement ideas from existing works. The planning process involved mind maps and testing ideas. Time management was generally good but some tasks took longer than planned. The technical and aesthetic qualities of the posters, DVD cover, and trailer fit the horror genre but could have been improved with more characters or context. Peer feedback was positive but suggested adding more characters or context to the trailer and posters.
Luke Headland has created a pre-production document that outlines the props, locations, contingencies, health and safety considerations, and schedule for an upcoming film project. The document details the props and locations needed, potential issues and solutions, hazards and how to avoid them. It also provides a 8-day schedule to shoot scenes, edit a trailer, and create posters.
This proposal is for a horror film project titled "The Stonehearted" that will include 4 posters and a teaser trailer. The story follows 3 killers stalking and threatening a group of friends in a remote cabin in the woods, picking them off one by one until only one victim survives. The target audience is 18-24 year old males and females interested in graphic horror. Legal considerations acknowledge the violent and offensive content targeted at mature audiences over 18. Efforts will be made to avoid offending groups through disclaimers and not including sensitive materials like religion, while recognizing that some mask and prop designs may be subject to copyright.

The document describes experiments the author conducted making two movie posters. Both posters took 4 days to complete and drew inspiration from the films "You're Next" and "The Purge." The posters used dark lighting to give a disturbing effect and portrayed characters wearing creepy masks to create a sense of fear of the unknown. In reflections, the author indicates their final product will include elements from the posters, with one being very scratchy, grungy and dirty to emphasize horror and violence, while the second will be more minimalist and half in darkness.
Here are the key points from the research evaluation:
- Product research was easy to conduct but reliability of data could be questioned.
- Questionnaires were simple to distribute but results took a long time to collect and not all questions were fully answered.
- Interviews provided clear upfront data but lacked detail. Respondents didn't always have much to say.
- Surveys on SurveyMonkey were easy to distribute but results came in slowly and some data was lost due to technical issues.
Overall, the research methods provided basic information but lacked depth and detail in many cases. Combining multiple methods helped overcome some individual weaknesses.
Luke Headland has created a mood board to influence his initial plans for a horror movie poster project. The mood board images emphasize darkness, shadows, masks and a calm yet unnerving tone to portray the unknown and highlight the horror genre. Luke analyzed that the repetition of these dark elements in the images will teach him lighting techniques and influence the stance and positioning of elements in his own poster. He proposed creating a teaser trailer, movie poster and DVD cover for a horror movie called "The Stonehearted" targeting 18-24 year old horror fans of both genders. Luke considered but rejected ideas like t-shirt designs and a graphic novel due to time constraints and lack of relevant experience.
The document provides an evaluation of a game project titled "The Manhattan Project." It discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the research, planning, time management, technical and aesthetic qualities, audience appeal, and peer feedback aspects of the project. For research, strengths included finding ideas from existing products, while weaknesses were not finding suitable sources easily and taking a long time to finalize the idea. For planning, strengths were organized mapping of ideas, while weaknesses included only using one of three mapped ideas and not accounting for production difficulties in the plan. The time management could have been improved with a time management sheet. Peer feedback suggested adding more playable areas and expanding the map size or boss battle length.
Luke Headland created the background and scenery for his zombie survival game in Photoshop, making abandoned buildings with textures to look realistic. He added obstacles to the terrain to make the game challenging. He then added a dark, gloomy night backdrop from Google to fit the zombie apocalypse theme. After completing the background, he created characters like the protagonist with armor and a helmet. He animated the characters and effects like fire and gunshots over three hours due to errors. Finally, he added sound effects, items, a health bar, and music in Sony Vegas to complete the production reflection.
The document outlines the pre-production plans for a pixel art zombie game. It includes style references showing apocalyptic, broken down environments that will be implemented. Images of zombies and enemies were chosen to resemble antagonists with gas masks and bloody appearances. Abandoned buildings from the references will be the main locations. Contingency plans address potential issues like crashes, time management, and copyright. A schedule over 8 days includes producing environments, characters, buildings, and adding animation, sound effects and finishing touches in Photoshop.
This proposal outlines a single-player horror-survival video game called "The Manhattan Project" set in a post-apocalyptic New York City. The player controls a survivor scavenging for resources like food, weapons, and building materials to reinforce their base while fighting off zombies and hostile humans. The target audience is males aged 18-24 who enjoy strategic, violent games, though it may appeal somewhat to older teenagers as well. Research on textures, environments, and cinematography will inform the game's production design and visual style. As a mature-rated game, it will avoid potentially offensive religious or political content while differentiating itself sufficiently from other works to avoid copyright issues.
Luke Headland created an image of an abandoned, scary looking house as an experiment for his main project, a ghost game. He took inspiration from his research and placed each element on a separate layer for easier positioning. While it took a few attempts to get the layout right, the overall process was not too difficult. Textures from the internet were used to add more depth and realism to the image. The experimental image featured abandoned and industrial style buildings to match the content of Luke's main project.
The document discusses research for a survival horror video game project. It analyzes existing products like the game H1Z1: Just Survive that feature gameplay around collecting resources, weapons, and materials to survive against zombies and other players. Images are presented showing abandoned, apocalyptic settings that will inspire the environment for the project. Common features identified among the researched products are broken, abandoned environments depicting human extinction. Aspects to include are the production design with abandoned, broken themes fitting the zombies theme and survival-based gameplay. An audience profile targets ages 16-24, appealing to interests in video games through violent/shooter gameplay with mild graphic content and zombies, while also engaging both male and female players interested
Luke Headland has created initial plans and mind maps for potential video game ideas, including a horror game set in an abandoned factory, an adventure game about being stranded on a mysterious island, and a survival game set in a post-apocalyptic city. The survival game would involve collecting resources to stay alive, fighting enemy NPCs and zombies, and holding down a secure location or base to survive for as long as possible against the dangers of the destroyed, hazardous terrain. Luke has also created a mood board of images to influence the final product, focusing on themes of abandonment, injustice, destruction and chaos within an apocalyptic, rotting environment.
The document provides an evaluation of a student's FMP project involving the creation of a magazine cover and double page spread. According to the peer feedback, strengths of the project included the use of colors and positioning of characters on the cover to make them stand out. However, feedback suggested adding more facts to the double page spread to provide more information and fill space. The student agreed that including more details about the magazine's content and additional facts would improve the audience's engagement and understanding.
The document provides details for a style sheet and magazine cover design project. It summarizes the font and image choices, which emulate popular movie magazine designs. Two potential magazine cover layouts are presented, featuring characters from Batman, Black Panther, and Star Wars for the first and Aquaman for the second. A schedule is included outlining an 8-day plan to research, take photos, design the cover in Photoshop, and refine the final product. Potential issues and solutions are also addressed, such as equipment malfunctions, data loss, and ergonomic health concerns.
This proposal is for a film magazine called Galaxy Magazine. The purpose is to entertain and educate audiences interested in modern film genres through icons from different films and facts about movies, genres, characters, and actors. The content will focus on how genres like horror, action, and sci-fi have been successful and influenced society by looking at box office figures and audience opinions. The primary audience is males and females aged 15-24 who are interested in film culture. Younger viewers under 15 will need parental permission. While some content may feature violent movies, disclaimers will be used to avoid offending groups. Existing trademarks, logos, characters, and some design aspects will require permission to avoid copyright issues.
1) The document summarizes experiments conducted for a fishing magazine cover design.
2) Key elements included a radial blur on the main fishing image to make it stand out, large prominent logo featuring a fish silhouette, and captions about the best catch of the week and sending in your own catches.
3) Blue was used as an overall color theme to appeal to the fishing audience familiar with this palette in other magazines.
The document analyzes existing magazine cover designs featuring films, noting that they prominently feature iconic characters to attract recognition and promote the magazine brand. Research findings will inform the design of the new magazine cover, which will similarly use popular film characters and a color/lighting scheme to appeal to target demographics of 15-24 and 30+ who enjoy movies. Audience profiles are identified to ensure the cover content appeals to both male and female achievement-oriented consumers across social statuses.
The document discusses a mood board analysis for a final product. It notes that most images in the mood board feature multiple people and have similar lighting, layouts, and styles. The images commonly show action poses that convey different emotions and contrast with the themes of their subjects. The mood board will influence the final product by providing inspiration for character poses, multiple character placement, and lighting techniques to highlight mood and emotion.
Luke Headland conducted secondary research on YouTube channels and podcasts that created similar ghost/horror stories. This helped him understand how to engage audiences through use of music and sound effects. Some disadvantages were a lack of audience surveys. Planning included mind maps that helped with ideas and equipment needs. Challenges included uncertainty if ideas would work. Time management followed a schedule, though a microphone issue caused delays. Peer feedback noted strengths like sound effects and ending but suggested longer buildup, more character details, and extended climax. Luke agrees more character development and a longer ending would improve engagement.
6. production reflection(4) (luke headland)LukeHeadland2
Luke Headland recorded audio for a story using Audacity then edited it by ordering clips, adding music and sound effects. He synced the music to match the tension in the audio, using calm then dramatic music. Adding sound effects was easy but one had issues. He listened to the final audio and fixed issues like misplaced audio before exporting the final MP3 file.
Luke is home alone one night as he prepares to move out of the house he grew up in. He hears strange noises coming from upstairs which disturb him as he plays video games. Later, when watching TV in the kitchen, he hears more thumps from upstairs and feels a sense of dread. As he anxiously waits for more noises, he notices the kitchen door has been cracked open and sees a terrifying face peering through at him with large white eyes and a painfully wide grin. He wakes up feeling dizzy, only to discover it is late and the kitchen door remains cracked open.
The document proposes a horror story podcast called "The Face in the Dark" aimed at ages 16-24. It will use sound effects to set the scene and describe a true paranormal experience the author had of hearing strange noises and seeing a terrifying face at their kitchen door. The brief story provided follows the author home alone one night hearing noises upstairs before seeing a face at the kitchen door and waking up terrified. Some ethical considerations discussed are that the paranormal topic could offend some based on beliefs, and the content is only intended for mature audiences. Copyright is not an issue as all content is original.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
