The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. Mind Map
Pixel game
idea 1
Light colours like outdoor
colours like green, blue, white I
have chosen these colours
because they shows like a nice
day with sun and blue sky
Having the game set
inside because I think
that it would look better
inside
I have chosen a Maze type game for one of my ideas
because I think that it could be a good style game because
you don’t see many maze games and I thought it could be
something different
My Audience for this
game will be 12–20-year-
olds because it will be
made for older kids
because it would be
challenging at times
The content that will be feature in
this game will be enemies that will
be in the game, and they will try to
stop you from getting to the end I
think that this would be good
because it makes it harder to get to
the end but not making it too
hard.
The sound effects that will be in
the game will be noises coming
from the enemies like shooting
come close or something like that
and some other noises like running
noises and jumping sound effects
the character that will be included
in my game will be adventure
characters that are on an
adventure trying to find some
hidden treasure
3. Mind Map
Pixel game
idea 2
Darker colours like brown,
dark blue and dark green I
have chosen these because
shooting games are a bit
dark and have little Suprises
in them
Have it set outside in a field
because it would look
better than being inside
Action soundtrack that would
go with the theme of the game
I think this would be good
because it gets you into the
game and makes you more in
the game
I have chosen a shooting for one of my
ideas because its one of the games that
have been made a few time but I could
make it a little bit different
The content that it will include is
that it will include paintballing guns
and loads of different colours for
the bullets
The sound effects that I will
include for this game will be
the sound of the bullets
shooting and a screaming
noise when it hits someone
The target audience for this game
will be 16-25 because it will feature
people shooting each other will
paintball guns and I don’t think it
would be suitable for people
younger than 16
The location of the game will be in
a field that will have 2 teams of
paintballers that shoot each other I
choose this location because it will
be long grass so players in the
game will be able to hide in the
grass from the other people
the characters that will be included
in my game will be people in bullet
proof vest and a helmet and things
to protect them will be my
characters for my game
4. Mind Map

Bright colours like
blue, yellow, green
and white I have
chosen these
colours because they
shows like a nice day
with sun and blue sky
Have it set outside
with sun and blue sky
to make it look like it's
during the summer
platform soundtrack and sound effect
of things eating food and maybe
jumping sound effects I think that this
would be a good idea because you
need to listen to something while
playing because it would be a bit
boring just sitting there in silence
Platform game like
Mario and sonic
games
The target audience for my
game will be 16–20-year-old
male and female I think that
this would be a good target
audience because its more of
a teenager age and I think
that more teenagers would
like my game more than
adults
The characters that will be included
in my game will be some animals
that live In the wild in the UK I think
that this would be good because
people don’t really make game with
animals in, so I think that it is
something different
My Final game idea
It will feature some food that the
characters will have to collect
along the way, so they won't get
hungry.
These inspired me to make my final
game because I think that Mario is
a good game and I also like the
background that they use in the
game because it looks like a warm
sunny day, and I like the platform
style game that they use.
6. Mood Board
I picked out these images from my mood board because I thought that it could
be something that I could base my game around like the Mario thing and make
it a lot different but keep some of the bit and I thought that I could make a
poster advertising the game and use some of the loot things that they could be
things that I could be collecting in my game to make it more fun.
I would also use these images in my final game because I can use the loot to
hide around my game and it would be something cool to find, I would use the
Mario game because It was a game, I wanted to make mine like, and I could use
the other one to help me design my poster for my game. The significance of
these images is that they are all from pixel style games and they are all different
parts of making a game because there is a poster that will be used to advertise
my game to get it out there and there is some loot that can be collect playing
the game and maybe go towards something like a reward or something and the
other one is gameplay from a game to help me design my own and change bits
of it. I found them all in pixels to it will go with the theme of what I was going
for and I also choose these because the loot was something I could see like
chest things and try to make something similar and use it in my own game.
7. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
Some of the images have been repeated because of the theme that I wanted to
go for and that was for it to be outside on a nice day and have all the colours a
little bit brighter to make it more fun I can use this mood board to help me design
my own game and It can also help me to make my own characters because I
can't use Mario for my final game, and I will have to change it a bit.
The significance of these repeted images is that I can see what Images that I like
the best and if I did really like the image, I found a similar image that would help
me design my game with a bit of both images in them.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
My mood board will influence my final product because I will be using some of
the same colours for my background for like the outside and make it look a little
bit brighter to show that it was going to be a nice day on the game and make it a
little bit more enjoyable to play.
8. Informal Proposal
Concept The concept of my game will be that you will have a few levels to complete and you will have to dodge
some of the enemies and you will be able to achieve this by jumping on top of things and you will be
able to kill them by jumping on their heads but you could get caught, the style of game will be a
platform game that will be a little bit like Mario but will different characters maybe like animals or
something like that, it will look really blue with some clouds in the sky and some sun and grass like it is
going to be a nice day in my game and my characters will have to make it acoss some platforms and try
to make it to the end without dying or you will have to start from the beginning.
Type of products
you would make
• The type of product that I am going to make is a game that has a few levels in it and you must complete them to
win and I will also be making a poster to advertise the game that I am going to be making, I will also be making a
logo for my game so when you start the game you will know which game is mine and you will also know a bit of
what they game will look like from just looking at the logo, I am doing this because I don’t think that there is many
platform games and I am also going to make a poster because I want to advertise my game and make people want
to buy it, I am also making a logo so my game will look good when people buy the game.
What you will
need to make
them
The things that I will need to make them is that I will need photoshop to design the poster and I will also need
photoshop to make the pixel art and I will need to use 1001 font to find a font for my poster and I will also need
premiere pro to put some sound effect onto my final game and some background music so the people playing the game
wont be sitting in silence for all the different levels
Audience The primary audience for my game will be 15–20-year-olds male and female. I think that this is a good
age to have my primary audience because it is aimed more at teenagers and I think that that would go
up to the age of 20
The secondary audience will be 21-30-year-olds male and female
I think this is a good age to have for my secondary audience because is more of older people and not
as many people from this age would be playing platform games
I chose this for my game because I think that it fits this age because it will be challenging at some
times and I also choose male and female because they can both play it, it depends if you like platform
game if they will like my game. Most of the people who might play my game I think that it would be
people who like a bit of a challenge by don’t like it to be really difficult.
middle class because it won’t be free you would have to pay a little bit of money, The social status for
my game will be middle class, it will be emulators because It will be my own work not anybody else’s.
The content that I am intending to create is a platform game that will have the characters will be
animals that live in the wild in the UK, I was also intending to make a poster that will advertise my
game and get people want to buy my game and I will also be making a logo that will be on your device
9. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Indie game • The reasons that I didn’t choose this one
is that I don’t really like indie game and I
didn’t think that it would be something
that I would have enjoyed to make
Shooting game • The reason that I didn’t pick the shooting
game is that are loads of shooting games
out there and I wanted to make
something different because there has
been to many shooting game made and
people haven't really looked at the other
genders of games.
