This physical science class will discuss properties of electromagnetic radiation such as reflection, absorption, and transmission. Students will participate in a lab called RATLab that involves rotating between 7 stations exploring these concepts through different experiments over 10 minute periods. The stations include using kaleidoscopes, observing absorption of light, reviewing wave properties, examining radiometers, transmission of light through solids, and communicating using Morse code and flashlights. Students are instructed to read the rules and clean up carefully before rotating to avoid breakage.
