The students went on a bike trip along part of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route with their English and Social Sciences teachers. They stopped first at a museum showing the history of textile production. Then they visited a shelter in Pamplona run by volunteers from Germany, where they spoke with pilgrims. Finally, they arrived in Pamplona and visited a large shelter near the cathedral before taking a photo in the town hall square. The students enjoyed learning about the Camino and having this educational experience.

04. the camino (itziar & iranzu)
The students took a bike trip along part of the Santiago's Way pilgrimage route in Spain. They started at their high school and biked to Villava, where they stopped at a pilgrim shelter (Batan) and spoke with pilgrims from other countries. Continuing along the path, they were amazed by the beautiful landscape. They then biked to Pamplona and visited two pilgrim shelters, where they met and spoke with German pilgrims. The best part of the trip was having a good time with their classmates and teachers along the route.
Aims Avila_Claudia si Iulia
Iulia Cisu and Claudia Stanciu document their trip to Avila, Spain for a school project over several days. On Sunday they arrived in Madrid and took a train to Avila where they were greeted by their Spanish partners and toured the town. On Monday they had classes and activities at school with other international students and went on a treasure hunt around Avila. On Tuesday they had math-focused classes and activities and toured the city in the evening. On Wednesday they took a trip to Madrid to visit the Mathematics Institute and tour the city. On Thursday they performed their "Maths Ballet" and toured Avila one last time before departing on Friday after saying goodbye to their hosts and taking a tour

Comenius projects are part of the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme. They aim to promote cooperation between schools in Europe by offering students and teachers opportunities to work together on topics relevant to school education. The students had an enjoyable experience meeting and getting to know the Catalonian and Lithuanian students who greeted them warmly at the airport. They quickly became friends and shared stories, though it was initially awkward not knowing each other. A guided tour of a church provided interesting information about its architecture and history. The host families welcomed the students and they engaged in various activities together like going for walks and eating meals. Various planned activities like a party, boat trip, beach day, and museum visit allowed the students to experience Catalonian culture and bond with each other. Saying farewell after five fantastic days was difficult as friendships had formed.

Our trip to sweden

The international visit provided an opportunity for intercultural learning, practicing English, and creating memories that the students will not forget.
Diary of our Stay in Greece

E twinning project: So Far, So Near (2009-10)

This time we offer you a very special, and dear, issue of our magazine.
Special and very dear because it is dedicated to Venancio on the occasion of his retirement. He has been many years with us and then many more teaching in other schools in Burlada and other places in Navarre. Once we knew about his plans we decided we wanted to do something, and after considering a long list of possibilities, we decided to make a special issue of Ibaialde News dedicated to him. Then we made some changes from a normal magazine. As it was for Venancio, his family and his friends, we thought we should give everybody the chance to write in the language they preferred, and many have done it in Spanish. We have not translated them because that might change some of the affection and love shown in all the lines of the articles published here.
Dear Venancio, thanks and we will never forget all what you mean to us!
