MEETING IN VINKOVCI
October 2015
Osnovna škola Bartola Kašića is a partner in the
Erasmus+ project
“Young citizens of Europe – our future. The path of
knowing, growing and understanding”.
The fourth project meeting took place in Vinkovci
from 4 October untill 10 October 2015.
OŠ Bartola Kašića was host to 23 students and 16
teachers from six partner countries: Bulgaria, Finland,
Italy, Poland, Romania and Turkey.
The title of the meeting was
“Strengthening ties”.
Monday:
Welcoming ceremony at school.
Lessons conducted by Croatian and guest teachers.
Polish team performed
puppet show “Legend of the
Wawel dragon” for the
kindergarten children and the
first graders.
Tuesday:
Display of entrepreneurship –
students sold their products
to passers-by and donated
the money to the Red Cross
organisation.
Activities at Red Cross
organisation:
The whole group visited the
town hall where they were
warmly greeted by the
deputy mayor and the head
of the Department of
education.
We visited a small
family business owned
by Marin Benčević,
who told us about the
production of clothes
inspired by national
costumes.
Wednesday:
we visited three vocational
secondary schools and had
lunch prepared by
students.
Museum and
the birth house
of Croatian
writer Ivan
Kozarac.
Thursday:
coordinators’
meeting,
biology lesson for
students
Croatian students’ parents prepared traditional dishes for lunch.
