No Social Conventions for Jesus
Religion Essay
Jesus did not adhere to social conventions of the time when dealing with the marginalised. Jesus
challenged social conventions by showing love, forgiveness and compassion towards women,
Samaritans, and outcasted people. In Jesus time women we re at a lower stat to men, and there was a
large lack of equality in that time.
Jesus treatment of women was unorthodox. Jesus treated women with equality and respect. This was
unusual because during the time of Jesus women were considered to be second class citizens. They
were considered inferior to men, and forced to do all the housework and cooking. Men were seen as
the more dominant role, women often were seen as lazy, and dependant on men. In their own
household, they were seen dominant, but in the eyes of the outside world, they were seen as slaves. On
their period, they were seen unclean, during this time they generally stayed inside more often, they
avoided being in contact with the outside as they would be judged and frowned upon. Jesus treated
women with compassion and kindness. This is evident when he allowed the woman, who was
seemingly seen to be a prostitute, wash his feet in her tears. Even though he was frowned upon from
those around him, he still allowed her to continue this. It is secondly evident when Mary, the sister of
Martha, had invited Jesus over for a dinner. Mary, a woman, sat down and listened to Jesus preaching
s, instead of cooking and cleaning. This left the rest of the people listening

How Does Atticus Used To Show Honesty Are The Key To...
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee uses characterization to express that passion and honesty are the
keys to achieving social justice. Harper Lee presents the idea that passion is revealed when someone
stands up for what is right even when others think it is wrong. Atticus s character reinforces his
passion when he goes against what everyone else believes. Although Atticus knows he will not win, he
does his best to defend Tom Robinson saying, Simply because we were licked a hundred years before
we started is no reason for us not to try to win (p.101). By Atticus being passionate about standing up
for what is right, he does his best to achieve social justice. Although everyone else says he should not
defend Tom Robinson, Atticus explains ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Atticus s character reinforces his honesty when he expresses his opinions about all men being equal.
Atticus knows that Tom Robinson will lose the case against Mayella Ewell, but the author makes a
point by Atticus saying But there is one way in this country in which all men are created equal there is
one human institution that makes a pauper the equal of a Rockefeller, the stupid man the equal of an
Einstein, and the ignorant man the equal of any college president. (p.274) This detail is important
because it explains how Tom, and all other men are equal and helps me better understand the author s
purpose by Atticus explaining how he believes and says all men are equal. The author s purpose is to
explain that no matter who you are, everyone is created equal and should be treated the same. While
Lee tries to make a point being racist or treating colored differently, Atticus says I am confident that
you gentlemen will review without passion the evidence you have heard (p.274). When Lee gives this
evidence, it shows importance on how all men are created equally, and should be treated equally.
Atticus shows honesty by telling the truth and portrays an image of how the other men are being racist
and how they should treat Tom like any other man. Lee uses honesty and explains how everyone
should be treated the same. Lee uses characterization and depicts that passion and honesty are the keys
to achieving social

A Report On The Plane Detectors
The airplane was equipped with a smoke and fire detection and warning system to provide flight
crews with a visual indication in the cockpit of smoke or fire in the cargo compartments. The airplane
had a total of 26 smoke detectors. The main cargo compartment had 7 smoke detectors installed, and
in the 4 lower cargo compartments were 19 smoke detectors installed. During the preflight checks the
flight crew tested the operation of the smoke detectors by enabling their test function from the cockpit.
The flight engineer reported that no problems were encountered during the functional check of the
smoke detectors before the flight. The main cargo compartment smoke detector system consists of
detectors located in the compartment ceiling that were designed to provide a smoke indication
whenever the smoke around a detector reached a certain density. Five of the seven smoke detectors
were mounted on the left side of the ceiling at locations corresponding to cargo containers 2, 5, 8,
11/12, and 14. The other two detectors were mounted next to each other near the ceiling centerline at
locations corresponding to cargo containers 17 and 18. The smoke detector switch, which is located on
the flight engineer s upper panel, provides a means for testing the smoke detectors and the system
wiring. The smoke detector switch has the following labeled positions: OFF, NOR [normal], and 1
through 7. However, the system is not able to identify the specific sensor(s) detecting smoke in

Bart Janssen Summary
In this article Bart Jansen presents a highly objective viewpoint about how the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) has begun regulating drone operations across the nation. Commercial and
personal drone use has been on the rise over the past decade, with the military being among the first to
begin using remotely piloted aircrafts (RPA). I believe that the FAA is completely going in the right
direction with the regulations that are being set in place. As an active duty aviator, I can account
multiple instances where drone sightings abnormally close to or on military bases have led to elevated
advisories for flight operations. I can only assume that busy commercial airports have to take even
greater precautions after sightings of low,

The Relationship Between Violent Crime And The Following...
Literature Review
Introduction
This is a non exhaustive literature review of research published between 2006 and 2016. It relies
primarily on peer reviewed literature published within the discipline of sociology, but also draws upon
studies related in other disciplines such as criminology and psychology. The studies in this literature
review focus on violent crime in the U.S. Many studies in this review discuss how some sociological
variables can influence crime for better or for worse. This literature review will discuss the
relationship between violent crime and the following five themes: race, religion, gender, income, and
immigration.
Race
Violent crime has consistently been a significant issue throughout U.S. history, especially between
racial and ethnic groups. As a country, we ve had to deal with violent crime dating back to slavery in
the 1600 s, up unto today with issues such as police brutality against racial and ethnic minorities.
Researchers have found that segregation between races within neighborhoods can have a heavy
influence on violent crime (Hipp 2007; Krivo, Byron, Calder, Peterson, Browning, Kwon, Lee 2014),
although not all literature had the same results. Three races that were used throughout the research
were Blacks, Whites, and Latinos. Within racially segregated neighborhoods, those with a higher
percentage of African Americans experience higher rates of violent crime (Hipp 2007). The same
thing can also be said about Latinos. Among racially

Achievements of India in Space Research
ACHIEVEMENTS OF INDIA IN SPACE RESEARCH
(1960 1970)
The Indian space program began establishing itself with the launch of sounding rockets, which was
complimented by India s geographical proximity to the equator. These were launched from the newly
established ThumbaEquatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS)
, built near Thiruvananthapuram in southern Kerala. Initially, American sounding rockets like the Nike
Apache, and French sounding rockets like the Centaure, were fired and used for studying the upper
atmospheric electrojet, which until then had only been studied from ship based sounding rocket
launches in the Pacific Ocean. These were soon followed by British and Russian rockets. However,
since day one, the space program had grand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1993, the time had come for the maiden flight of the PSLV. The first launch was a failure. The first
successful launch took place in 1994, and since then, the PSLV has become the workhorse launch
vehicle placing both remote sensing and communications satellites into orbit, creating the largest
cluster in the world, and providing unique data to Indian industry and agriculture. Continual
performance upgrades have increased the payload capacity of the rocket significantly since then. By
this time, with the launch of the PSLV not far away, it had been decided that work should begin on the
next class of launch vehicles, intended to place larger satellites into geostationary transfer orbit
(GTO), and thus a launcher partly derived from the PSLV design, but featuring large liquid strap on
motors and a cryogenic upper stage motor, was devised the Geostationary Satellite Launch Vehicle.
(2000 )Major achievement which seems to have gone largely unnoticed is ISRO s successful ground
testing of the cryogenic engine on November 15, 2007. This test conducted for its full flight duration
of 720 seconds at the Liquid Propulsion test facility at Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, puts India on the
world map of cutting edge rocket propulsion technology. Only five other nations The US, Russia,
Japan, China and France currently have this capability.Cryogenicengines are important for launch of

Biblical Overtones In East Of Eden, By John Steinbeck
The novel, East of Eden, features Biblical overtones from the stories of Genesis. The novel was
written by John Steinbeck and turned into a film by Elia Kazan in 1955. Kazan s purpose was to show
how the Bible could influence media and culture. The film was released on April 10th, 1955 and
featured James Dean as Cal, Richard Davalos as Aron, Julie Harris as Abra, Raymond Massey as
Adam, and Jo Van Fleet as Kate. East of Eden is set in the time before and after America joined World
War I. The Trask family, who lives in Salinas Valley, is trying to make it through the tumultuous times.
Cal is the youngest son and sees himself as the black sheep of the family, due to his tendency to be
bad and rebellious. Cal is always competing with his older brother Aron, who seems to be perfect in
every way. Aron is their father s favorite and Cal desperately wants their father s love and affection.
After his father loses most of his money trying to ship lettuce surrounded by ice to New York, Cal
decides to invest into the crop of beans and makes a small fortune. After earning that fortune for his
father, he realizes that he cannot buy his fathers love. Cal s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Adam, in turn, accepted Aron s gift with happiness and joy while rejecting Cal s with anger. This
scene related to the Cain and Abel story when God accepted Abel s offering of animal fat and rejected
Cain s gift of fruit from the soil. Abel had given God a true sacrifice from the first of his flock and

Essay about Comparing Perrault s Cinderella with Disney s...
Walt Disney s Cinderella is adapted from the original fairy tale written in 1697 by Charles Perrault.
There are some key differences between Walt Disney s Cinderella and Charles Perrault s Cinderella.
In Charles Perrault s tale, Cinderella s father is not dead, but the father is controlled by the stepmother.
Cinderella s younger stepsister is much more polite than the older stepsister, who calls Cinderella
Cinderwench. The king in Perrault s tale hosts a two day Ball, which Cinderella attends with the help
of the fairy godmother. During Cinderella s preparation for the first night of the Ball, Cinderella helps
the fairy godmother find a coachman when the fairy godmother could not find one. Cinderella s glass

not acceptable for today s modern western woman. In some instances, Cinderella s behaviour in
Perrault s tale display characteristics that are alike to a modern western woman, today. On the first
night of the Ball, the fairy godmother struggles to find something turn into a coachman. Then
Cinderella suggests to transform the ...rate in the rat trap...into a coachman (Perrault). This act reveals
that Cinderella is capable of solving problems individually (Robbins, 107); a quality of a modern
western woman. In addition, Cinderella demonstrates intelligence when the step sisters talk to
Cinderella after returning from the first night of the Ball (Robbins, 107). Cinderella pretends to be

after returning from the first night of the ball. By pretending to be sleepy, the step sisters assume that
Cinderella did not attend the Ball. The step sisters tell Cinderella that a finest princess (Perrault) came
to the Ball, however, when Cinderella inquires about the unknown princess name, the step sisters state
that they did not know. Also, the step sisters tell Cinderella that the prince would give all the world to
know who... (Perrault) is the unknown princess. This way Cinderella slyly and confidently

Promotional Mix
Kia Thunder Rewards Zone
The traditional promotion mix has four components: Advertising, Publicity, Sales promotions, and
Personal selling. These four components are used together by a company to market their materials.
The success of utilizing the promotion mix well can make or break a company s promotional
campaign. Although all components play a part in the campaign, one or another component may be
used more extensively depending on the product or material being marketed. Living in Oklahoma for
12 years now, I have become pretty familiar with the sporting events and local teams. In 2008, the
Seattle Supersonics were sold to Clay Bennett and then moved to Oklahoma City with a new name:

Sales Promotions The big promotion with the Kia Thunder Rewards Zone is the opportunity to win
free tickets or the chance to buy tickets. Most single game tickets are sold out soon after becoming
available so if avoiding paying high dollar for tickets through scalpers or online, this program is a
great opportunity. Also, the Thunder are hoping that all fans who win or buy a ticket have a great
experience and come back again and again. They also expect most fans to spend money on
concessions and merchandise so it s a win win situation for the team. Personal Selling This component
is not used with the Kia Thunder Rewards Zone promotion. Overall, I feel the OKC Thunder has done
a great job with this promotion. Not only does it bring more fans down to the arena, it also gives them
a chance at tickets they normally would not be able to get. The local businesses benefit as well
because the influx of fans who do not win the tickets, end up staying downtown to watch the game at a
restaurant or bar.

MJam is an online business providing contemporary handbags made in a variety of materials. The
business is owned by an inspiring and talented leather accessories designer Marukh Jamshed. The

the chic and stylish target customers. It first began its operations in 2011, targeting a limited customer
base. And ever since its inception the brand has been operating online. Thus it has a potential to
expand its customer base by establishing retail presence in multi brand stores such as PFDC and

TFT Corporation loses an average of thirty employees every year since 2013 and hence enacts a
recruitment strategy at the start of every successive year to compensate the created vacancies. Besides
to that, the company has noted a declining trend in the profit trend since the existing consumers are
losing their confidence in the productivity of the corporation. Retention of specialized employees in a
firm upholds the consumers trust in a company s potential to meet the underlying customer needs
optimally. This trend accounts for the corporation s statistics whereby it had noted a decrease in
aggregate sales from $46 billion in 2014 to $40 billion in December 2015. The high employee
turnover rate in TFT Corporation is adversely affecting the company s economic growth and
competitiveness. PROJECT GOAL I propose to present practical strategies targeted at reducing the
final rate of employee turnover at TFT Corporation to a reasonably productive rate like one or two
employees per year. I recommend the establishment of winning strategies for employee motivation,
setting of promotion strategies based on employee performance, and training of employees. PLAN OF
PROPOSED WORK The project will cover seven main strategies whereby the following will be
enacted. The plans entail effective employee motivation; promotion based on employee job
performance; Training of employees;

Teaching Compassion in a World Were Compassion Is Lost
According to Arthur Schopenhauer compassion is the basis of all morality. This means that principles
concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior (Google dictionary,
morality) are developed by the sympathetic pity and concern for the suffering or misfortune of others.
(Google dictionary, compassion) In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird we generally see this through the
character Atticus Finch. Atticus demonstrates this when he pardons Bob Ewell s threats toward the
Finch family, accepts the Tom Robinson case, though it is headed for failure and lastly Atticus
examples compassion when he acts neighborly to Mrs. Dubose despite her insults towards him. As
you will see, morally correct decisions come not from law or society, but from within.
Bob Ewell, a man who is offensive, ignorant and lazy poses threats on Atticus Finch, an intellectual,
wise, empathetic man and his family. The threats are dangerous and serious, however, no matter what
they are or how scared his children grow nothing seems to faze him. Atticus is trying to teach his
children to put themselves in other people s situations before coming to harsh conclusions:
Jem, see if you can stand in Bob Ewell s shoes a minute. I destroyed his last shred of credibility at that
trial, if he had any to begin with. The man had to have some kind of comeback, his kind always does.

Analysis Of The Movie Fruitvale Station
New Year s Day, 2009, a man is brutally shot by the BART Police of Oakland, California. Fruitvale
Station, written and directed by Ryan Coogler, took audiences by surprise as it resonated with twenty
two year old Oscar Grant, a man who was shot down by the BART Police. This movie takes viewers
on an emotional expedition as it takes a peek into the life and death of Oscar Grant and his family. The
struggles of originating from an African American background become apparent as Oscar Grant
struggles with steering away from racial stereotypes and the misunderstandings of racial profiling. As
the movie begins, the audience notices that Oscar Grant is portrayed as a man who is loving and
caring toward his family, but also has a history of convictions and drug dealing experiences. As the
movie continues, Grant is shown as being a doer. Acting on situations without much thought and logic,
his life has been full of risks. By depicting Grant as having two completely different sides to him, the
director does a great job in displaying his struggles with himself as he tries to become a better man for
the sake of his family. The audience is allowed to see the humanization of Grant as the film proceeds.
His character is portrayed as flawed and misunderstood which relates to the viewers on a more
personal level. The audience notices the shrinking gap between themselves and Grant as the film
continues and takes them deeper into Grant s life. The film as a whole is filmed with cinema vérité

An Interview For The Univision Media Network
After Zorro, people spoke Spanish to me for ages. I m Welsh but that movie instantly gave me a new
ethnicity. This was a quote by the actress, Catherine Zeta Jones, when asked to speak Spanish in an
interview for the Univision media network. This is one of the many results that come from of a
complex reality of identity. Individuality is controlled by a social structure that labels a person based
on similarities to a particular ethnic group. Society has the need to shape the ethnic identity of a
person. They are categorized into a homogenized group defined by resemblances of their nationality
and culture. This results in discrimination and oppression. The fact of a person s identity has never
been neutral. The way a person is treated by society, according to how they are perceived, is the cause
of identifying and shaping an identity with social factors that provide a negative outlook on cultural
tolerance. The complex reality of identity is a factor that is influenced by the culture a person was
raised in and handed down to by their families. This causes society to take that factor and turn it into a
way of establishing an identity upon people. Due to a resemblance to an ethnic background, people are
compared according to their social, financial, and behavioral status. Society will always attempt to
identify a person to their best knowledge to feel a sense of belonging and being at a minimal level of
thinking with ethnic groups to be comfortable with racial differences.

and turbulence reigning through the lives of all within the play. Characters portraying both feigned
and authentic madness, such as Hamlet and Ophelia, serve pertinent roles displaying the corruption
and destruction of the mind when left alone without a guiding figure, most significantly one in the role
of a father, and restrained without a chance to speak freely. Shakespeare creates a definitive line
between the sane and mad characters within the play, both in dialogue and presence in many scenes. In
the dialogue of both Hamlet and Ophelia in the apex of their madness, as Yi Chi Chen states in his
Pregnant with Madness Ophelia s Struggle and Madness in Hamlet, Other than being pregnant in
madness, Hamlet s and Ophelia s language is also pregnant with madness (Chen 14.) Through this
remark, Chen states that not only is their language sprinkled with puns and dark humor that reflects a
meaning underneath a cover of meaningless remarks, their remarks serve to bring about, the truth that
lies beneath the masquerade like court of Denmark, each in their own ways (Chen 14.) Hamlet, with
his incense towards the marriage between Claudius and Gertrude, serves to utter his disregard towards
this relationship in his biting remarks towards both parties. Ophelia, in her utter dismay at the
rejection of her love by Hamlet and her father s death, serves to facilitate her thoughts through the use
of madness, speaking her mind clearly on her thoughts on Hamlet s exploitation of the mind of
women, showcasing her sorrow and heavy burden. While the sane merely remain aloof to the sorrows
at hand, the mad seek to reflect them in their true light through backwards remarks and sly words.
Most significantly, this dividing line between the sane and mad is first seen in the character of Hamlet.
Throughout the play, one of Hamlet s key struggles remains to be his inability to express his desire to
rise to action in the name of his father, Old Hamlet, who spurs him to honor his name through
revenge. As Hamlet is visited by his father and called to rise to the occasion and honor his father s past
name and untimely murder through his

Narcissism In America
Many normal people and even psychologists say that america is living in an age of narcissism. Each
and every one of those people are absolutely right. The word narcissism originates from the story

nymph named Echo. Narcissus kept rejecting her because he felt that the only one good enough for
him was himself. A god saw what was happening and cursed Narcissus so that he would actually fall

Single Parenting Effects
Single Parenting and Its Effects on Everyone
According to Custodial Mothers and Fathers and Their Child Support: 2007, which is a report released
by the U.S. Census Bureau, almost 13.7 million single parents had custody of their 21.8 million
children under the age of 21. (2009) 21.8 million children make up over 18% of all the children in the
U.S. There are a multitude of effects when single parenting is present. Children that are involved in a
single parent situation usually don t have the same economic or human resources that are available to
children that involved in two parent family homes. The children are more likely to be high school
dropouts, have teen pregnancy or be the cause of it, and to experience divorce in their own adult lives,
when compared to two parent traditional families. Children from single parent families often have a
lower self esteem and usually lack financial stability. Not every effect is negative though. Some
positive effects include, less parental conflicts and more bonding with one individual parent, faster
maturity, and a better sense of responsibility. Why is all of this? Being a single parent can bring a
plethora of problems. It is much harder to maintain a set discipline routine when there is just one
parent in the household. This one parent must play both the good cop and the bad cop role. It is much
harder to discipline when you are the only parent. But the most difficult task of all while being a
single parent is trying to find a

Importance Of Cultural Diversity In Schools
Cultural diversity has been an important topic amongst school systems for quite some time now. There
have been events that have occurred in history that have aided to the discussion, whether it is positive
or negative. Events that have stood out from the crowd include segregated schools that wanted nothing
to do with a race outside their own and schools that were eventually integrated but not taught fairly to
those amongst them. These events shaped the future for our school systems today and as educators, it
is our job to learn from them ourselves as well as educate students in regards to this sensitive, very
real manner.
Cultural diversity covers an array of areas. Culture in itself is, that complex whole which includes
knowledge, belief, arts, morals, laws, customs, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by a
human as a member of society, (UNESCO, n.d.). Different senses of culture are in multitude when one
takes a look at society as a whole. No two types of individuals, from different cultural backgrounds,
are the same on many different levels of living much less in school learning. This area of importance
begins in the classroom. For our students, cultural diversity is seen through the lens of society, which
is not always clear. As the teacher, an individual has to create a socially accepted environment for each
and every student that walks through his or her door on a daily basis. In doing so, as a part of a lesson
we will select groups and research key

Scarlet Letter Women
Mankind creates prejudice against itself through a history of tradition and false beliefs. In turn, women
face the brunt of such aggression and ideology. Arising from the idea of original sin, in which Eve led
Adam to their fall, mankind devolves women into characters of temptation and seduction, effectively
ostracizing and placing the blame on the female gender. In the 19th century romantic novel, The
Scarlet Letter, Nathaniel Hawthorne examines the effect of the sin and lust on the identity of women
and aims to inspire his audience to challenge the ideas of sin in current society in order to eliminate
gender discrimination and create a world of equality. When an individual commits an act of sin, the
very act leaves its mark on the individual ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hawthorne uses his character to show the need for women to stand up against such a system.
Hawthorne builds Hester as a character unimpaired by the misogyny of her society and instead focuses
on her identity as a caring saint and a protective mother. Just as Hester disregard the harsh words of
the people around her, women must do the same and focus on their own identity in order to truly gain
their independence. Instead of society holding women to a standard and identity establish by it,
women must release themselves from their chains and focus on discovering the very essence of their
identity and establish their own selves. Furthermore, Hawthorne builds his characters as defiant to the
very idea of sin itself. Hester embellishes the scarlet letter and openly displays it to the public (add
quote). Hawthorne reveals the need for women to challenge society s idea of sin. Society passes
judgment upon those who violates its code of conduct. However, the very act itself leads to
contradiction and hypocrisy. Society punishes itself in an attempt to correct and justify themselves in
the eye of god. Women must realize the fatal flaws of such beliefs and not allow society to drag them
down into a cesspool of guilt and repentance. For if women allows sin to dominate their lives, they
subject themselves to a life of loneliness, despair, and constant attacks on their conscience. Hawthorne
wishes for women to accept their sins and in turn uses it as a weapon against the discrimination of
society. The acceptance of sin takes away its power to control and dominates the women s life. By
openly revealing the sin to society, women can take back their identities and limit society in its ability
to hurt them. Furthermore, instead of shying away from the harsh treatment of society, women needs
to resist and confront such oppression. By speaking out about their

Latin American Culture Report
The Latin American Student Association, or LASA, is the club on campus that promotes Latin
American Culture here at St. Cloud State University. When I found them at mainstreet I was really
surprised they were such a large club. Coming into school, I didn t expect to find such a large
community of Latin Americans. Let alone a whole club. Coming from a state where Latin culture is
almost integrated into everyday life, it was a big shift to come up here. Having a club like LASA helps
me not only to connect to my culture and keep it alive while I m at school. It also allows me to keep a
slice of home with me. Going to meetings, it feels like a family gathering because we all can relate to
one another in some way. The cultural event I went to was the LASA Latin Fusion Night. It was their
big kick off for the year. They had Latin music and food, and it gave people the chance to experience a
culture they might have never. It was held in the quarry of Atwood and it was packed when I got there.

Success is something people want but don t know how to achieve.Success is the accomplishment of
one s goal. Certain habits however need to be developed in life that help insure success. Many of the
three stated as habits to be successful in life are resilience, self motivation and setting goals. In order
to be successful the habits that can be encounter are resilience which turn your greatness into success
after a difficult experience, which we need to be self motivated which helps to embrace the pain that
can be a part of the success and allows us to set goals for ourself. Resilience is the key to success that

A Dying Love In Thomas Hardy s Neutral Tones
A Dying Love in Thomas Hardy s Neutral Tones
Love is a strange emotion and can make a person feel ten feet high or a low as a snail. When most
people write about love it is full of life and color; however, Thomas Hardy writes of death in his
experience with love in his poem, Neutral Tones. It is a dramatic monologue poem written in the
1800s and is in first person. The title of the poem clearly points out the neutrality of a colorless failing
love. In addition, the poem focuses on describing the events of how the couple ends the relationship
and of how it is beyond repair. The lines of the poem gently explain what it is like for the author to
experience such a dying love. It is effectively written in a way that the reader can feel the hurt and
pain as Hardy explains the sorrow and bitterness as the lovers end the relationship. In Neutral Tones,
Thomas Hardy uses setting, imagery, and symbolism to illustrate the death of love in his poem.
The poem begins with the author setting the scene standing with his lover in the winter season. In the
first line of the poem Hardy says, We stood by a pond that winter day (1). This is an important clue to
prepare the reader that the poem is going to be about Hardy s relationship. Hardy goes on to say in the
third and fourth line, And a few leaves lay on the starving sod; / They had fallen from an ash, and were
gray (3 4). In these lines, Hardy uses the words starving, ash and fallen leaves. These are dramatic
words used to

Friedrich Von Hayek Essay
John Maynard Keynes first reached success during 1919 (Marron). His theory for economic success
involved government use of fiscal policy. He believed that during times of downturn, the government
should spend money into new projects, public spending, tax cuts, and transfer payment; which would
lead to money once again circulating. But during times of success booms , the government should
spend less and concentrate on saving for the next crash. He also argued that aggregate demand was the
key to the business cycle. When aggregate demand was low the business cycle would crash, leading to
high unemployment.
Friedrich von Hayek ideas became popular starting around the 1970s (Marron). His argument for
economic success contradicted those of Keynes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This stanza explains Hayek s beliefs on less government involvement and more freedom to the people
to make decisions. Government spending creates inflation troubles . He wants government to stop
giving money to people that aren t employed because they should be independent. This approach is
laissez faire because he wants people to do what they want by letting the market synchronize with the
people s demands without government intervening let prices work . Prices wont go berserk if their is
no Socialism. All socialism does is lead to sloppy performances if the government plans to steer the
economy. The article explains that the economy might be headed towards a downturn because the
economy growth rate has not increased. Corporations sales and profits are decreasing spending
leading to a drop in aggregate demand. Although employment is high personal savings have gone up
.2% which means consumers are spending less and more cautiously. Consumer spending has been
negative or flat showing signs of a possible recession to come. This reflects Keynes idea that
aggregate demand is correlated with the business

Odysseus As A Good Role Model In Homer s The Odyssey
The mythical journey of The Odyssey shows how a true leader and good role model should be. The
Odyssey was told centuries ago by a man named Homer. The Odyssey is about a man named
Odysseus who is traveling with his shipmates back home to Ithaca after the Trojan War, but he is

Anglo Saxon Exile Essay
During the time of the Anglo Saxon s there were many things that would cause a person stress, such as
protecting their kingdom, earning honor, and living in a Godly way, but the thing that caused the most
panic was the thought of exile. Exile was the force or chosen movement of a person out of their
kingdom and away from their family. The Anglo Saxon s were so concerned with the idea of exile,
they added it into many of their lyric poems like The Seafarer, The Wanderer, and The Wife s Lament
to show the consequences of being forced to leave their home. The poem s would bring fear to the

Exile could only be the result of two different causes, chosen by themselves or forced by their people.
Chosen exile would deal with the Anglo Saxon s who wanted to leave their homes for many months in
search of treasure or a new home. The main character in The Seafarer, shows this form of exile with
his yearning and decision return to the sea every year to look for treasure in far away lands rather than
staying at home and living with his tribe. Also, a minor character, the wife s husband, in The Wife s
Lament shows this form of exile when he willingly leaves his wife at home to go in search of
something more at sea. Forced exile was for the Anglo Saxon s who had broken a tribe rule or had no
tribe left to be with. The main character in The Wife s Lament was forced to leave her home by her
lord, husband, when he returned home from sea and found her living with another man in his absence.
Another example, would be the main character in The Wanderer, who was forced to travel and live
alone on the sea after all the members of his tribe had died and he had nowhere to go or no kinsmen to

I Believe That My Job As A Leader Is To Set A Goal, Create
I believe that my job as a leader is to set a goal, create a way to reach it and make the people follow it.
This sentence integrates an ordered sequence of the process that starts by knowing and leading
oneself, continues through innovation and finishes by leading others. Consequently, I consider that
leading small teams and large organizations starts with what is driving the leader.
Setting a goal links the passion and principles of the leader with the organization that he belongs. I
believe that passion is an essential ingredient for leadership, since it means that the leader is self
motivated and truly enjoys the activity he is performing day after day. Moreover, the proposed aim is a
good indicator of the amount of effort that a person ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, lack of objectives can result in passive attitudes as the Laissez faire, which I consider is
incompatible with the military life and a bad example for the junior leaders. Next, the aim should be
conceived in a way the team can identify and perceive as feasible, despite of the difficulty it implies.
At this point, it is necessary to be realistic and differentiate the own dreams from the reality, since
overpromising and under delivering is a common failure of leaders who are too enthusiastic.
Furthermore, from the perspective of the superiors, a person who constantly can honor his offers is
more reliable than somebody who makes great promises but cannot exhibit accomplishments.
Therefore, after deciding his aim the leader will find the way to make it possible.
Creating a way is the expression of the ingenuity and skills of the leader to comprehend the
environment where he operates. In the military career, it also entails following the strategic guidance
and organizational procedures, under the constraint of the available resources. In contrast, it does not
means always start from the scratch. Actually, most of the times a leader is following the steps of
previous leaders and the policies from his commanders. However, each situation has its own
conditions and the requirements from the upper levels can change from one campaign to another. As
an example, US Army General Stanley McChrystal in his book Team

Algonquian Culture Analysis
When I was a little girl, my grandmother told me an Algonquian story of a man and his family who
got lost during the harsh winter so they hid in a den near a valley. Soon, whatever food they had was
all gone and the family started to starve with nothing to eat. The man soon grew so hungry he ate his
eldest son, thinking that he had plenty other sons until more and more of his children fell victim to his
gluttony. As his wife, the woman could do nothing but grieve the loss of her children up until the
husband turned into such a horrible abomination that he did not care about his wife s safety and ate her
as well. Grandmother explained to me that those stories were warnings to our people and the results of
what can happen if we commit the sin of eating man flesh. The man is now recognized in the
Algonquian culture as the first Wendigo. It was my fault that we got lost because I didn t consider how

The Importance Of The Japanese Education System
Japan may be known for its beautiful cherry blossoms when they are in bloom, but they are also
known for its unique education system. The rigorous workload these students go through have
changed the way their overall performance scores have looked. The way that the Japanese education
system works has some ways that align with how the brain learns. The uniqueness of Japan s
education begins with the way their schooling is set up. The typical school year goes from April to
March of the following year, with a summer break from mid July to the end of August. Unlike
American schools, Japanese schools have three trimesters to break up the school year. Keeping with
the pattern of three, the lower education of Japan is split into a six three three system: six years of
elementary school (Shogakko), three years of middle school (Chugakko), and three years of high
school (Kotogakko). There are different learning styles that are available once a student reaches high
school. The courses that students can take are sorted into the categories of general, specialized, and
integrated. General courses are suitable for all students. Specialized courses have specific subject
matter suited for students who have chosen their future vocation, and include courses in agriculture,
industry, commerce. . . music, art, and English (globalroadwarrior 3). The integrated courses are a mix
of both general and specialized. The majority of Japanese students are taught by one teacher for all the

Symmetric Generalized Biderivations On Jordan Ideals
SYMMETRIC GENERALIZED BIDERIVATIONS ON JORDAN IDEALS
IN PRIME RINGS
AHMED ABOUBAKR* , ** AND SANTOS GONZÁLEZ**
Abstract. Let R be a prime ring with charR 6 = 2. A biadditive symmetric map B :
R × R → R is called symmetric biderivation if, for any fixed y ∈ R, the map x → B(x, y) is a
derivation. A symmetric biadditive map G : R × R → R is a symmetric generalized biderivation if for
any fixed y ∈ R, the map x → G(x, y) is a generalized derivation of R associated with the derivation
B(., y). In the present paper, we investigate the commutativity of a ring having a generalized
biderivation satisfying certain algebraic conditions. 1. Introduction
Throughout this paper R denotes an associative ring with center Z(R). Recall that R is prime if aRb =
(0) implies that a = 0 or b = 0. R is semiprime if aRa = 0 implies a = 0.
As usual, [x, y] = xy − yx denotes the commutator, and x ◦ y = xy + yx denotes the Jordan product. A
ring R is said to be n torsion free, where n 6 = 0 is a positive integer, if whenever na = 0, with a ∈ R,
then a = 0. An additive subgroup J is said to be a Jordan ideal of R if u ◦ r ∈ J, for all u ∈ J and r ∈ R.
Clearly every ideal of R is a Jordan ideal of R but the converse is not true. An additive subgroup U of
R is said to be a Lie ideal of R if [u, r] ∈ U , for all u ∈ U and r ∈ R. If charR = 2, then [x, y] = x ◦ y,
so assume through this paper charR 6 = 2.
A derivation d : R → R is an additive map such that d(xy) = d(x)y+xd(y) for all x, y ∈ R.
An additive

Heinz And Beech Nut Case Study Solution
Problem Statement The Heinz case study discusses the proposed merger between the Heinz company
and Beech Nut that was struck down by the Federal Trade Commission in 2001. Once the panel
announced its decision to block Heinz s purchase of Milnot Holding Corporation, the maker of Beech
Nut, for $185 million Heinz decided to no longer pursue the deal (Labaton, 2001). The three major
producers of baby food companies at the time were Gerber who still maintains a solid hold on the first
place slot. Gerber has a significant presence in the baby consumer products arena, being that most
companies that carry baby products typically carry Gerber baby food (Wilmer, Cutler and Pickering,
2017). The second and third place slots were held by Heinz ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Price is one of the various determining factors of consumer demand. In an oligopoly the market
leaders can adjust these factors as needed to ensure their dominance in the industry. With only three
market leaders in the baby food industry, merging two of those leaders into one company would lead
to two companies driving the factors that influence demand.
ECONOMIC FACTORS
Customer preferences Consumers have grown more health conscious and knowledgeable about the
ingredients that go into their food. They are particularly concerned about the food they feed their
babies. Parents want to avoid foods that contain genetically modified organisms and comprised of
natural ingredients which is leading them to turn to brands that are promoted as organic or to make
their own baby food. A Nielsen s 2015 Global Health Wellness Survey polled over 30,000 individuals
online suggests consumer mindset about healthy foods has shifted and they are willing to pay more for
items perceived as healthy (Gagliardi, 2015). While Gerber, Beech Nut and Heinz have developed
organic products to accommodate the growing trend to more natural foods, this trend has also
provided an opportunity for smaller brands to enter the market. Brands such as Earth s Best, Sprout
and Plum are staking their claim and consumers have

Nurses and Labor Unions
Industrial Labor Relations Mgmt 4531.01 Spring 2011 Strength In Numbers Nurses and Labor Unions
Justine Steele Strength in Numbers Nurses and Labor Unions The mission is successful negotiation of
fair wages, safe working conditions and exemplary patient care. Can the nation s labor unions help
nursing healthcare professionals meet these mission goals? Battles are currently being fought to
preserve and reform the Nation s healthcare system. Along with proposed changes to the affordability
and accessibility of medical care, healthcare providers will be faced with challenges of patient to

The combined efforts of these workers present a powerful force for negotiation and influence. The
SEIU believes that the Healthcare industry is important and must have a voice. The Nurse Alliance
provides support for nursing professionals in the public, private and home health arenas. The SEIU
counts 84,000 nurses among its members. (Bush) In direct competition with the SEIU for the nursing
professional s support is the National Nurses United (NNU). The NNU is the largest nursing union in
the country. (Ashack) The NNU is a merger of multiple smaller organizations who together have a
membership exceeding 155,000. (Ashack) The NNU was formed in 2009 with the purpose of creating
a larger more powerful bargaining unit for negotiations. The NNU is a nursing organization and does
not funnel its funds to other sectors of the industry. This fact has been a driving force in their
increasing membership over the SEIU. But unionization has not been easy. As membership has grown,
so has the bully on the street mentality. Some associations do not want to be part of such a large
organization and may feel that they will be under represented in specific issues, and not all nurses are
for unionization. Many feel that unionization with suppress their opportunities to seek promotions,
raises and benefits as funds are watered down to cover many professions covered in the services
industry. Many cities and States have local organizations or associations which

Critique of Ecology of Youth Collective Socialization by...
In Ecology of Youth Collective Socialization , Nicotera, Williams, and Anthony argue that multiple
social ecology influences of peers, school, as well as neighborhoods are extensively related to youth s
well being, as well as misconducts. Within the article written, the intended audience consists of
scholars, professionals, parents, as well as current and future researchers. The three authors submitted
multiple hypotheses regarding the influences of peers, school, as well as neighborhoods on today s
youth while omitting familial influences. As presented above, the author s main objective for writing
this particular article is to present as well as analyze the collective socialization of today s youth
through peer, school, and neighborhood influences resulting in both positive as well as negative results
regarding their well being and misconducts. Their main arguments consist of their presentation as well
as analysis of the influences of both positive and negative outcomes. The author s base their analysis
on each of these influences through administered investigations, current studies, questionnaires, as
well as previous research from scholars to support the multiple hypotheses. The purpose of this
particular article consists of the examination of the influences of perceived neighborhoods, distal
peers, and proximal peers regarding the problematic behavior as well as well being of today s youth.
Also within this particular article their purpose consisted of how

The Expansive First Movement From Schubert s Rosamunde
The expansive first movement from Schubert s Rosamunde quartet is an odyssey in which the
principal melody, first heard in A minor, sets out on an epic quest for the attainment of A major. Laid
out in a straight forward Sonata Form, the Primary theme appears as a triple period, with the last of the
three phrases being in A major. The violent cadence in m. 32 dramatically switches the mode back into
a menacing A minor, completely forfeiting the three tries in which the Primary theme so yearningly
made to establish itself in A major. In looking through the movement, not only are there an abundance
of sudden and violent cadences, but sudden and violent cadences that abruptly alter the direction in
which the movement was seemingly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
33, and make their final appearance in m. 270 as a pick up gesture to the closing material of the
Recapitulation before the Coda. Otherwise, this triplet figure features strongly in the more flurried
parts of the movement, namely in the transitional material of the Primary theme and the transitional
material of the Secondary theme. They are conspicuously missing from areas of relative passivity,
such as the main thematic areas of both the Primary and Secondary themes. Enigmatically, the triplet
figure does not feature in the Development. It is possible to see that this triplet figure features most
prominently in areas that are highly unstable. Beginning right after the cataclysmic A minor chord in
m. 32, the triplet figure first appears in m. 33 as just a tail of the cadence, as if it were turbulence
caused by the suddenness of the cadence. It appears again shortly after another strong cadence in D
minor (down one step in the circle of fifths), again as an after thought. The triplet figure returns again,
this time with full force and intention in m. 44, acting as both the motor rhythmic element as well as a
linear underpinning in a sequence of the descending circle of fifths. The figure disappears in m. 56
into eighth notes through rhythmic augmentation, just as the the movement reaches the Medial
Caesura. The triplet figure is then absent for the next ten measures, where an antecedent consequent
structure forms

Theory of Democratic Peace
Jestin Thompson
Political Science
23 April 2013
Final Paper
Theory of Democratic Peace The idea of democratic peace was brought up in the enlightened era. The
theory of democratic peace was based off of Immanuel Kant s Perpetual Peace. The theory of
democratic peace argues that nation states governed by democratic regimes do not tend to have
conflicts with other countries that would lead to wars. With this theory, it shows that nation states with
a democratic rule are more likely to not go to war with other countries. In some cases, this theory has
been proven to be true, but in other cases it has not, especially with the United States. There are many
proponents and opponents for this theory. Through this essay, the theory ... Show more content on

This is a way that the theorists distort the definition of war, so it portrays democratic states as peaceful
nations, who don t go to war with each other. In fact, it s the opposite because the democratic nations
do fight each other, but based off the criteria of having a thousand deaths they never had a war with
each other. Last, the democratic nations recognizing each other as democratic nations. With this
recognition, it is used as a standard to determine whether democratic states fight each other. Without
the mutual recognition, there is no proof that democracies fight each other. In order to be recognized
as a democratic state, many of the states that claim to be democratic have to fit the liberal principles.
Opposing views of the democratic peace theory believe as times go on this theory will continued to be
distorted to fit the different circumstances that are to come in the future.
Further in this essay, three different countries with different governing styles will be used to test the
theory of democratic peace s accuracy or falseness. For the democratic rule, the country is South
Africa. Using Russia as the authoritarian rule, and China as the totalitarian rule. By using these
countries, it shows if the democratic peace theory applies to other governing styles.
Although South Africa is now a democratic rule, it did not start off with this rule.

Baseball Hall Of Fame Museum Analysis
Museums are supposed to tell a story about something that has happened in history. They are expected
to be factual and tell the whole story. The good, the bad and the ugly are there nothing left out. They
do not pretend that an entire portion of history did not happen because it s inconvenient (Stark, 2015).
The Baseball Hall of Fame museum also tells a story. The story of America s past time, the game s
greatest accomplishments and all the times records were shattered and barriers were broken. Why
should one of the greatest players of all time, the hit king , the player who has the most hits ever
recorded in Major League Baseball history be left out (Stark, 2015)? His story, the good, the bad and
the ugly should be honored on the walls in Cooperstown, Pennsylvania; home of Baseball s Hall of
Fame. It is an integral part of the history of the game and it is time to stop pretending Peter Edward
Rose was not one of the greatest baseball players of all time. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

discouraged summer school so he would not miss a summer playing baseball. This not only allowed
him to get an extra year of maturity over his peers but it ended up being one of the best things that
happened to him. Rose had used up his four years of eligibility in high school and therefore was
forced to join a Class AA team in Lebanon, Ohio his senior year of high school. Luckily, sports and
the enthusiasm for them ran in Rose s family. His uncle was a scout for the Cincinnati Reds and made
a case for Pete Rose to join the Major League team out of high school. The Reds decided to take a

  • 2. No Social Conventions for Jesus Religion Essay Jesus did not adhere to social conventions of the time when dealing with the marginalised. Jesus challenged social conventions by showing love, forgiveness and compassion towards women, Samaritans, and outcasted people. In Jesus time women we re at a lower stat to men, and there was a large lack of equality in that time. Jesus treatment of women was unorthodox. Jesus treated women with equality and respect. This was unusual because during the time of Jesus women were considered to be second class citizens. They were considered inferior to men, and forced to do all the housework and cooking. Men were seen as the more dominant role, women often were seen as lazy, and dependant on men. In their own household, they were seen dominant, but in the eyes of the outside world, they were seen as slaves. On their period, they were seen unclean, during this time they generally stayed inside more often, they avoided being in contact with the outside as they would be judged and frowned upon. Jesus treated women with compassion and kindness. This is evident when he allowed the woman, who was seemingly seen to be a prostitute, wash his feet in her tears. Even though he was frowned upon from those around him, he still allowed her to continue this. It is secondly evident when Mary, the sister of Martha, had invited Jesus over for a dinner. Mary, a woman, sat down and listened to Jesus preaching s, instead of cooking and cleaning. This left the rest of the people listening ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How Does Atticus Used To Show Honesty Are The Key To... In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee uses characterization to express that passion and honesty are the keys to achieving social justice. Harper Lee presents the idea that passion is revealed when someone stands up for what is right even when others think it is wrong. Atticus s character reinforces his passion when he goes against what everyone else believes. Although Atticus knows he will not win, he does his best to defend Tom Robinson saying, Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win (p.101). By Atticus being passionate about standing up for what is right, he does his best to achieve social justice. Although everyone else says he should not defend Tom Robinson, Atticus explains ... Atticus knows that Tom Robinson will lose the case against Mayella Ewell, but the author makes a point by Atticus saying But there is one way in this country in which all men are created equal there is one human institution that makes a pauper the equal of a Rockefeller, the stupid man the equal of an Einstein, and the ignorant man the equal of any college president. (p.274) This detail is important because it explains how Tom, and all other men are equal and helps me better understand the author s purpose by Atticus explaining how he believes and says all men are equal. The author s purpose is to explain that no matter who you are, everyone is created equal and should be treated the same. While Lee tries to make a point being racist or treating colored differently, Atticus says I am confident that you gentlemen will review without passion the evidence you have heard (p.274). When Lee gives this evidence, it shows importance on how all men are created equally, and should be treated equally. Atticus shows honesty by telling the truth and portrays an image of how the other men are being racist and how they should treat Tom like any other man. Lee uses honesty and explains how everyone should be treated the same. Lee uses characterization and depicts that passion and honesty are the keys to achieving social ... • 4. A Report On The Plane Detectors The airplane was equipped with a smoke and fire detection and warning system to provide flight crews with a visual indication in the cockpit of smoke or fire in the cargo compartments. The airplane had a total of 26 smoke detectors. The main cargo compartment had 7 smoke detectors installed, and in the 4 lower cargo compartments were 19 smoke detectors installed. During the preflight checks the flight crew tested the operation of the smoke detectors by enabling their test function from the cockpit. The flight engineer reported that no problems were encountered during the functional check of the smoke detectors before the flight. The main cargo compartment smoke detector system consists of detectors located in the compartment ceiling that were designed to provide a smoke indication whenever the smoke around a detector reached a certain density. Five of the seven smoke detectors were mounted on the left side of the ceiling at locations corresponding to cargo containers 2, 5, 8, 11/12, and 14. The other two detectors were mounted next to each other near the ceiling centerline at locations corresponding to cargo containers 17 and 18. The smoke detector switch, which is located on the flight engineer s upper panel, provides a means for testing the smoke detectors and the system wiring. The smoke detector switch has the following labeled positions: OFF, NOR [normal], and 1 through 7. However, the system is not able to identify the specific sensor(s) detecting smoke in ... • 5. Bart Janssen Summary In this article Bart Jansen presents a highly objective viewpoint about how the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has begun regulating drone operations across the nation. Commercial and personal drone use has been on the rise over the past decade, with the military being among the first to begin using remotely piloted aircrafts (RPA). I believe that the FAA is completely going in the right direction with the regulations that are being set in place. As an active duty aviator, I can account multiple instances where drone sightings abnormally close to or on military bases have led to elevated advisories for flight operations. I can only assume that busy commercial airports have to take even greater precautions after sightings of low, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Relationship Between Violent Crime And The Following... Literature Review Introduction This is a non exhaustive literature review of research published between 2006 and 2016. It relies primarily on peer reviewed literature published within the discipline of sociology, but also draws upon studies related in other disciplines such as criminology and psychology. The studies in this literature review focus on violent crime in the U.S. Many studies in this review discuss how some sociological variables can influence crime for better or for worse. This literature review will discuss the relationship between violent crime and the following five themes: race, religion, gender, income, and immigration. Race Violent crime has consistently been a significant issue throughout U.S. history, especially between racial and ethnic groups. As a country, we ve had to deal with violent crime dating back to slavery in the 1600 s, up unto today with issues such as police brutality against racial and ethnic minorities. Researchers have found that segregation between races within neighborhoods can have a heavy influence on violent crime (Hipp 2007; Krivo, Byron, Calder, Peterson, Browning, Kwon, Lee 2014), although not all literature had the same results. Three races that were used throughout the research were Blacks, Whites, and Latinos. Within racially segregated neighborhoods, those with a higher percentage of African Americans experience higher rates of violent crime (Hipp 2007). The same thing can also be said about Latinos. Among racially ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Achievements of India in Space Research ACHIEVEMENTS OF INDIA IN SPACE RESEARCH (1960 1970) The Indian space program began establishing itself with the launch of sounding rockets, which was complimented by India s geographical proximity to the equator. Initially, American sounding rockets like the Nike Apache, and French sounding rockets like the Centaure, were fired and used for studying the upper atmospheric electrojet, which until then had only been studied from ship based sounding rocket launches in the Pacific Ocean. In 1993, the time had come for the maiden flight of the PSLV. The first launch was a failure. The first successful launch took place in 1994, and since then, the PSLV has become the workhorse launch vehicle placing both remote sensing and communications satellites into orbit, creating the largest cluster in the world, and providing unique data to Indian industry and agriculture. Continual performance upgrades have increased the payload capacity of the rocket significantly since then. By this time, with the launch of the PSLV not far away, it had been decided that work should begin on the next class of launch vehicles, intended to place larger satellites into geostationary transfer orbit (GTO), and thus a launcher partly derived from the PSLV design, but featuring large liquid strap on motors and a cryogenic upper stage motor, was devised the Geostationary Satellite Launch Vehicle. (2000 )Major achievement which seems to have gone largely unnoticed is ISRO s successful ground testing of the cryogenic engine on November 15, 2007. This test conducted for its full flight duration of 720 seconds at the Liquid Propulsion test facility at Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, puts India on the world map of cutting edge rocket propulsion technology. Sales Promotions The big promotion with the Kia Thunder Rewards Zone is the opportunity to win free tickets or the chance to buy tickets. Most single game tickets are sold out soon after becoming available so if avoiding paying high dollar for tickets through scalpers or online, this program is a great opportunity. Also, the Thunder are hoping that all fans who win or buy a ticket have a great experience and come back again and again. They also expect most fans to spend money on concessions and merchandise so it s a win win situation for the team. Personal Selling This component is not used with the Kia Thunder Rewards Zone promotion. Overall, I feel the OKC Thunder has done a great job with this promotion. TFT Corporation loses an average of thirty employees every year since 2013 and hence enacts a recruitment strategy at the start of every successive year to compensate the created vacancies. Besides to that, the company has noted a declining trend in the profit trend since the existing consumers are losing their confidence in the productivity of the corporation. Retention of specialized employees in a firm upholds the consumers trust in a company s potential to meet the underlying customer needs optimally. This trend accounts for the corporation s statistics whereby it had noted a decrease in aggregate sales from $46 billion in 2014 to $40 billion in December 2015. The high employee turnover rate in TFT Corporation is adversely affecting the company s economic growth and competitiveness. PROJECT GOAL I propose to present practical strategies targeted at reducing the final rate of employee turnover at TFT Corporation to a reasonably productive rate like one or two employees per year. I recommend the establishment of winning strategies for employee motivation, setting of promotion strategies based on employee performance, and training of employees. In this research paper, I will first write about his story to leadership and how he abstained power. Following this will be an in depth breakdown of his leadership style and how he chose to lead others. • 15. Teaching Compassion in a World Were Compassion Is Lost According to Arthur Schopenhauer compassion is the basis of all morality. This means that principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior (Google dictionary, morality) are developed by the sympathetic pity and concern for the suffering or misfortune of others. (Google dictionary, compassion) In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird we generally see this through the character Atticus Finch. Atticus demonstrates this when he pardons Bob Ewell s threats toward the Finch family, accepts the Tom Robinson case, though it is headed for failure and lastly Atticus examples compassion when he acts neighborly to Mrs. Dubose despite her insults towards him. As you will see, morally correct decisions come not from law or society, but from within. Bob Ewell, a man who is offensive, ignorant and lazy poses threats on Atticus Finch, an intellectual, wise, empathetic man and his family. The threats are dangerous and serious, however, no matter what they are or how scared his children grow nothing seems to faze him. Atticus is trying to teach his children to put themselves in other people s situations before coming to harsh conclusions: Jem, see if you can stand in Bob Ewell s shoes a minute. Fruitvale Station, written and directed by Ryan Coogler, took audiences by surprise as it resonated with twenty two year old Oscar Grant, a man who was shot down by the BART Police. This movie takes viewers on an emotional expedition as it takes a peek into the life and death of Oscar Grant and his family. The struggles of originating from an African American background become apparent as Oscar Grant struggles with steering away from racial stereotypes and the misunderstandings of racial profiling. As the movie begins, the audience notices that Oscar Grant is portrayed as a man who is loving and caring toward his family, but also has a history of convictions and drug dealing experiences. As the movie continues, Grant is shown as being a doer. Acting on situations without much thought and logic, his life has been full of risks. By depicting Grant as having two completely different sides to him, the director does a great job in displaying his struggles with himself as he tries to become a better man for the sake of his family. The audience is allowed to see the humanization of Grant as the film proceeds. His character is portrayed as flawed and misunderstood which relates to the viewers on a more personal level. The audience notices the shrinking gap between themselves and Grant as the film continues and takes them deeper into Grant s life. The film as a whole is filmed with cinema vérité ... This was a quote by the actress, Catherine Zeta Jones, when asked to speak Spanish in an interview for the Univision media network. This is one of the many results that come from of a complex reality of identity. Individuality is controlled by a social structure that labels a person based on similarities to a particular ethnic group. Society has the need to shape the ethnic identity of a person. They are categorized into a homogenized group defined by resemblances of their nationality and culture. This results in discrimination and oppression. The fact of a person s identity has never been neutral. The way a person is treated by society, according to how they are perceived, is the cause of identifying and shaping an identity with social factors that provide a negative outlook on cultural tolerance. The complex reality of identity is a factor that is influenced by the culture a person was raised in and handed down to by their families. This causes society to take that factor and turn it into a way of establishing an identity upon people. Due to a resemblance to an ethnic background, people are compared according to their social, financial, and behavioral status. Society will always attempt to identify a person to their best knowledge to feel a sense of belonging and being at a minimal level of thinking with ethnic groups to be comfortable with racial differences. ... • 21. Madness In Hamlet Analysis The key theme of madness in Hamlet serves the critical roles of the play, serving to depict the chaos and turbulence reigning through the lives of all within the play. Characters portraying both feigned and authentic madness, such as Hamlet and Ophelia, serve pertinent roles displaying the corruption and destruction of the mind when left alone without a guiding figure, most significantly one in the role of a father, and restrained without a chance to speak freely. Shakespeare creates a definitive line between the sane and mad characters within the play, both in dialogue and presence in many scenes. In the dialogue of both Hamlet and Ophelia in the apex of their madness, as Yi Chi Chen states in his Pregnant with Madness Ophelia s Struggle and Madness in Hamlet, Other than being pregnant in madness, Hamlet s and Ophelia s language is also pregnant with madness (Chen 14.) Through this remark, Chen states that not only is their language sprinkled with puns and dark humor that reflects a meaning underneath a cover of meaningless remarks, their remarks serve to bring about, the truth that lies beneath the masquerade like court of Denmark, each in their own ways (Chen 14.) Hamlet, with his incense towards the marriage between Claudius and Gertrude, serves to utter his disregard towards this relationship in his biting remarks towards both parties. Ophelia, in her utter dismay at the rejection of her love by Hamlet and her father s death, serves to facilitate her thoughts through the use of madness, speaking her mind clearly on her thoughts on Hamlet s exploitation of the mind of women, showcasing her sorrow and heavy burden. While the sane merely remain aloof to the sorrows at hand, the mad seek to reflect them in their true light through backwards remarks and sly words. Most significantly, this dividing line between the sane and mad is first seen in the character of Hamlet. Throughout the play, one of Hamlet s key struggles remains to be his inability to express his desire to rise to action in the name of his father, Old Hamlet, who spurs him to honor his name through revenge. (2009) 21.8 million children make up over 18% of all the children in the U.S. There are a multitude of effects when single parenting is present. Children that are involved in a single parent situation usually don t have the same economic or human resources that are available to children that involved in two parent family homes. The children are more likely to be high school dropouts, have teen pregnancy or be the cause of it, and to experience divorce in their own adult lives, when compared to two parent traditional families. • 24. Importance Of Cultural Diversity In Schools Cultural diversity has been an important topic amongst school systems for quite some time now. There have been events that have occurred in history that have aided to the discussion, whether it is positive or negative. Events that have stood out from the crowd include segregated schools that wanted nothing to do with a race outside their own and schools that were eventually integrated but not taught fairly to those amongst them. These events shaped the future for our school systems today and as educators, it is our job to learn from them ourselves as well as educate students in regards to this sensitive, very real manner. Cultural diversity covers an array of areas. Culture in itself is, that complex whole which includes knowledge, belief, arts, morals, laws, customs, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by a human as a member of society, (UNESCO, n.d.). Different senses of culture are in multitude when one takes a look at society as a whole. Arising from the idea of original sin, in which Eve led Adam to their fall, mankind devolves women into characters of temptation and seduction, effectively ostracizing and placing the blame on the female gender. In the 19th century romantic novel, The Scarlet Letter, Nathaniel Hawthorne examines the effect of the sin and lust on the identity of women and aims to inspire his audience to challenge the ideas of sin in current society in order to eliminate gender discrimination and create a world of equality. Hawthorne uses his character to show the need for women to stand up against such a system. Hawthorne builds Hester as a character unimpaired by the misogyny of her society and instead focuses on her identity as a caring saint and a protective mother. Just as Hester disregard the harsh words of the people around her, women must do the same and focus on their own identity in order to truly gain their independence. Instead of society holding women to a standard and identity establish by it, women must release themselves from their chains and focus on discovering the very essence of their identity and establish their own selves. Furthermore, Hawthorne builds his characters as defiant to the very idea of sin itself. Hester embellishes the scarlet letter and openly displays it to the public (add quote). Hawthorne reveals the need for women to challenge society s idea of sin. Society passes judgment upon those who violates its code of conduct. However, the very act itself leads to contradiction and hypocrisy. Society punishes itself in an attempt to correct and justify themselves in the eye of god. Women must realize the fatal flaws of such beliefs and not allow society to drag them down into a cesspool of guilt and repentance. For if women allows sin to dominate their lives, they subject themselves to a life of loneliness, despair, and constant attacks on their conscience. Hawthorne wishes for women to accept their sins and in turn uses it as a weapon against the discrimination of society. The acceptance of sin takes away its power to control and dominates the women s life. By openly revealing the sin to society, women can take back their identities and limit society in its ability to hurt them. Furthermore, instead of shying away from the harsh treatment of society, women needs to resist and confront such oppression. By speaking out about their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When most people write about love it is full of life and color; however, Thomas Hardy writes of death in his experience with love in his poem, Neutral Tones. It is a dramatic monologue poem written in the 1800s and is in first person. The title of the poem clearly points out the neutrality of a colorless failing love. In addition, the poem focuses on describing the events of how the couple ends the relationship and of how it is beyond repair. The lines of the poem gently explain what it is like for the author to experience such a dying love. It is effectively written in a way that the reader can feel the hurt and pain as Hardy explains the sorrow and bitterness as the lovers end the relationship. In Neutral Tones, Thomas Hardy uses setting, imagery, and symbolism to illustrate the death of love in his poem. At this point, it is necessary to be realistic and differentiate the own dreams from the reality, since overpromising and under delivering is a common failure of leaders who are too enthusiastic. • 39. Current Open Visitation Practices Within The Critical Care... Introduction. The introduction will provide a contextual overview of the current open visitation practices within the critical care setting. The introduction will begin by highlighting the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses support for open visitation practices and include the argument that unrestrictive family presences is indicative of patient and family centered care. Next, the barriers that prevent open visitation and the implications for practice will be acknowledged. The main barriers preventing open visitation that will be briefly introduced (a detailed discussion will occur in the later portion of the text), and include skewed nursing perceptions, gaps in knowledge about the beneficial effects of unrestrictive family presence, and lack of formal visitation policies. It will be argued that the main implication for practice is decreased patient and family satisfaction resulting from incongruent visitation practices. Finally, the solution of educating nurses about the benefits of an open visitation policy on patients and families will be proposed. Rationale for the solution will be provided. Purpose statement and aims. The introduction will provide context for the following purpose statement: the purpose of this review article is to gain a better understanding of how critical care patients and families can benefit from open visitation policies. The review article aims to answer the following three ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This comes as no surprise, Spider man has always been one of the most profitable superheroes to exist on screen along with on the page. However, this isn t the first we ve seen of Peter Parker on the big screen, in 2002 Tobey Maguire starred as our red hero. After that trilogy was completed, Andrew Garfield picked up the suit and starred in The Amazing Spider man in 2012. Fans everywhere have argued over who played Spidey best and now a new competitor has rose to the challenge. Tom Holland is branded as young Spider man which is a big part of his appeal. That being said, other supporting parts were well played. Ned is portrayed by Jacob Batalon and is used as the guy in the chair and best friend to our hero, and it s a nice change from frenemy Harry Osborn and also since Disney now owns Marvel and Star Wars we can really see the nerdiness of this friendship which is especially relatable for me and my friends who used to host week Star Wars marathons and even the lego Death Star is shown which is an added plus in my ... • 41. The Importance Of The Japanese Education System Japan may be known for its beautiful cherry blossoms when they are in bloom, but they are also known for its unique education system. The rigorous workload these students go through have changed the way their overall performance scores have looked. The way that the Japanese education system works has some ways that align with how the brain learns. The uniqueness of Japan s education begins with the way their schooling is set up. The typical school year goes from April to March of the following year, with a summer break from mid July to the end of August. Unlike American schools, Japanese schools have three trimesters to break up the school year. Keeping with the pattern of three, the lower education of Japan is split into a six three three system: six years of elementary school (Shogakko), three years of middle school (Chugakko), and three years of high school (Kotogakko). There are different learning styles that are available once a student reaches high school. The courses that students can take are sorted into the categories of general, specialized, and integrated. General courses are suitable for all students. Specialized courses have specific subject matter suited for students who have chosen their future vocation, and include courses in agriculture, industry, commerce. . . music, art, and English (globalroadwarrior 3). The integrated courses are a mix of both general and specialized. The majority of Japanese students are taught by one teacher for all the subjects ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Symmetric Generalized Biderivations On Jordan Ideals SYMMETRIC GENERALIZED BIDERIVATIONS ON JORDAN IDEALS IN PRIME RINGS AHMED ABOUBAKR* , ** AND SANTOS GONZÁLEZ** Abstract. Let R be a prime ring with charR 6 = 2. A biadditive symmetric map B : R × R → R is called symmetric biderivation if, for any fixed y ∈ R, the map x → B(x, y) is a derivation. A symmetric biadditive map G : R × R → R is a symmetric generalized biderivation if for any fixed y ∈ R, the map x → G(x, y) is a generalized derivation of R associated with the derivation B(., y). In the present paper, we investigate the commutativity of a ring having a generalized biderivation satisfying certain algebraic conditions. 1. Introduction Throughout this paper R denotes an associative ring with center Z(R). Recall that R is prime if aRb = (0) implies that a = 0 or b = 0. R is semiprime if aRa = 0 implies a = 0. As usual, [x, y] = xy − yx denotes the commutator, and x ◦ y = xy + yx denotes the Jordan product. A ring R is said to be n torsion free, where n 6 = 0 is a positive integer, if whenever na = 0, with a ∈ R, then a = 0. An additive subgroup J is said to be a Jordan ideal of R if u ◦ r ∈ J, for all u ∈ J and r ∈ R. Clearly every ideal of R is a Jordan ideal of R but the converse is not true. An additive subgroup U of R is said to be a Lie ideal of R if [u, r] ∈ U , for all u ∈ U and r ∈ R. If charR = 2, then [x, y] = x ◦ y, so assume through this paper charR 6 = 2. A derivation d : R → R is an additive map such that d(xy) = d(x)y+xd(y) for all x, y ∈ R. An additive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Once the panel announced its decision to block Heinz s purchase of Milnot Holding Corporation, the maker of Beech Nut, for $185 million Heinz decided to no longer pursue the deal (Labaton, 2001). The three major producers of baby food companies at the time were Gerber who still maintains a solid hold on the first place slot. In an oligopoly the market leaders can adjust these factors as needed to ensure their dominance in the industry. With only three market leaders in the baby food industry, merging two of those leaders into one company would lead to two companies driving the factors that influence demand. ECONOMIC FACTORS Customer preferences Consumers have grown more health conscious and knowledgeable about the ingredients that go into their food. They are particularly concerned about the food they feed their babies. Parents want to avoid foods that contain genetically modified organisms and comprised of natural ingredients which is leading them to turn to brands that are promoted as organic or to make their own baby food. A Nielsen s 2015 Global Health Wellness Survey polled over 30,000 individuals online suggests consumer mindset about healthy foods has shifted and they are willing to pay more for items perceived as healthy (Gagliardi, 2015). The Expansive First Movement From Schubert s Rosamunde The expansive first movement from Schubert s Rosamunde quartet is an odyssey in which the principal melody, first heard in A minor, sets out on an epic quest for the attainment of A major. Laid out in a straight forward Sonata Form, the Primary theme appears as a triple period, with the last of the three phrases being in A major. The violent cadence in m. 32 dramatically switches the mode back into a menacing A minor, completely forfeiting the three tries in which the Primary theme so yearningly made to establish itself in A major. They are conspicuously missing from areas of relative passivity, such as the main thematic areas of both the Primary and Secondary themes. Enigmatically, the triplet figure does not feature in the Development. It is possible to see that this triplet figure features most prominently in areas that are highly unstable. Beginning right after the cataclysmic A minor chord in m. 32, the triplet figure first appears in m. 33 as just a tail of the cadence, as if it were turbulence caused by the suddenness of the cadence. It appears again shortly after another strong cadence in D minor (down one step in the circle of fifths), again as an after thought. The triplet figure returns again, this time with full force and intention in m. 44, acting as both the motor rhythmic element as well as a linear underpinning in a sequence of the descending circle of fifths. The figure disappears in m. 56 into eighth notes through rhythmic augmentation, just as the the movement reaches the Medial Caesura. • 47. Theory of Democratic Peace Jestin Thompson Political Science 23 April 2013 Final Paper Theory of Democratic Peace The idea of democratic peace was brought up in the enlightened era. The theory of democratic peace was based off of Immanuel Kant s Perpetual Peace. The theory of democratic peace argues that nation states governed by democratic regimes do not tend to have conflicts with other countries that would lead to wars. With this theory, it shows that nation states with a democratic rule are more likely to not go to war with other countries. In some cases, this theory has been proven to be true, but in other cases it has not, especially with the United States. There are many proponents and opponents for this theory. Through this essay, the theory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, it s the opposite because the democratic nations do fight each other, but based off the criteria of having a thousand deaths they never had a war with each other. Last, the democratic nations recognizing each other as democratic nations. With this recognition, it is used as a standard to determine whether democratic states fight each other. Without the mutual recognition, there is no proof that democracies fight each other. In order to be recognized as a democratic state, many of the states that claim to be democratic have to fit the liberal principles. Opposing views of the democratic peace theory believe as times go on this theory will continued to be distorted to fit the different circumstances that are to come in the future. Further in this essay, three different countries with different governing styles will be used to test the theory of democratic peace s accuracy or falseness. For the democratic rule, the country is South Africa. Using Russia as the authoritarian rule, and China as the totalitarian rule.
