2. To obtain good audience feedback for our film, we placed our
film on many social networking sites such as Twitter and
Facebook. We also put our film on YouTube.
We posted our first draft on Facebook and
got lots of positive criticism. People told
use they really enjoyed the film but certain
things needed fixing such as the sound
and colour but the way the film was
filmed and put together was great. The
main thing people said was to add music
that was eerier and have different music
and some more sound effects.
3. FOCUS GROUP
I then created a focus group for people 15 and over as the was the age
certificate of our film. We asked them various questions about the
theme such as; was the narrative of the film clear?: was the genre of
the film clear; what did you like most or dislike the most; what was
your overall view of the film.

FILM CLEAR?
When I asked the group this question it was clear that they
understood the narrative very well. The thing people highlighted was
the beginning of the film where it showed the little girl and then
switched to modern day. Some were unsure or missed where it said
‘Ten Years Later.’ once they re watched the film and saw that they
understood quickly, they liked how the presence was once a sweet
little girl but then got turned into the scary character she is now.
5. WAS THE GENRE OF THE
FILM CLEAR?
The focus group from the beginning understood it was a horror. This
means that the our aims and intentions were met according to this focus
group. We wanted the audience to quickly identify the genre and they did.
I also decided to ask what helped them understand that the genre was
horror. They replied ‘ The spooky music from the beginning and the
narrative of the story was just like the teen horrors. I knew that one of
the characters would walk into the basement alone because that’s what
always happens.’

Overall people enjoyed the film very much. They loved how good
the antagonist looked considering we did all the make up. They
said she didn’t look cheap she looked as if she was in a film. Also
they loved the strong narrative that ran through out the film. They
loved how the film was put together and how professional it
looked considering this is the first time we had done anything like
this.
