2. WHAT I DID TO RECEIVE AUDIENCE
FEEDBACK
• During the process of creating my short film, I got
members of my target audience to watch through what I
had created so far to see what needed to be changed.
• I also created a questionnaire for 10 members of my
target audience after I had finished my short film to see
what they thought of it and to see if they had anything
that they think could be altered.
• As well as this, I asked another 10 members of my target
audience to be filmed whilst watching all of my final short
film and I asked them questions about what they thought
of different aspects to give me direct feedback.

4. MY FEEDBACK AND HOW IT HAS
EFFECTED MY WORK
• When I first asked my target audience, a couple of people
commented on my previous corridor scene and how it didn’t flow
very well. After this comment I decided to re-film that scene, and it
ended up flowing a lot better.
• As well as this, I decided to re-film the graveyard scene at the end of
my film. The first time I filmed it, it didn’t look realistic as the grave
stone was too far down on the hill and you couldn’t tell that it was
filmed in an actual graveyard. This didn’t make the scene clear to
the audience and the feedback that I received on it suggested that
they weren’t sure on the location that I had used. Due to this, I
decided to re-film it in a position in which you could see grave
stones so the location was clear. Instead of the fake headstone that
I used at first, I used the back of an actual grave (with permission)
so that it was more clear to my audience what was happening in the
scene. I feel as though this makes the scene more emotional as it is
easier to understand what is happening.
7. HOW MY QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS
HAVE INFLUENCED MY WORK
Following my questionnaire results, I decided to change
the music that is used at the beginning and middle of my
film. A few people that I gave the questionnaire to said that
they didn’t think that the song didn’t fit with the storyline
and it didn’t flow very well. The song that I had at first was
‘home’ by Gabriella Aplin and I changed it to ‘The Kiss’ by
Phillip Glass. I feel as though this song fits the film much
better than the other, and my target audience seem to
agree as when I asked people in the filmed responses if
they thought the music fit, they said yes and didn’t say that
this song didn’t fit either.
8. HOW MY FILMED RESPONSES
INFLUENCED MY WORK
Following my filmed responses from my target audience, I
have found that the storyline of the film is effective and it
produced the type of emotions that I was looking for.
The responses that I received have made my much more
confident in that the film was effective and that nothing
much else needed changing.
