This document provides information about reversing journal vouchers in Tally accounting software. 2.  Reversing Journal voucher is a separate voucher type like
‘Journal’. Voucher entries made using ‘Journal’ voucher affect the
books of accounts. However, entries made using ‘Reversing Journal’,
do not affect the books of accounts. These are non-accounting
vouchers. They are special journals, which automatically reverse after
a specified date.
 Entries made using reversing journals are stored in a separate
register called Reversing Journal Register. These vouchers are used in
interim reporting in the course of the financial year, where accruals
are required to be reported.
 Reversing Journal Vouchers can be activated from
‘F11:Featues’. From Gateway of Tally  Use the F11:Features key to
bring up the Company Features sub-menu  select Accounting

Vouchers ? under Budgets & Scenario Management to Yes

3. From Gateway of Tally  select Accounting Vouchers  press
F10 and the Reversing Journal voucher screen is displayed.
1. First Entry
The first entry must be a debit entry involving any account

2. Second Entry
From the second entry onwards, any account can be debited or
credited. However, total debits should be equal to total credits.
