Tally allows users to integrate or separate inventory and accounting records. It can track inventory purchases, sales, transfers between storage locations, and perform ageing analysis. Users first choose whether to integrate inventory with accounting, then create individual stock items similar to ledger accounts. Finally, inventory vouchers are used to record transactions involving stock items.

WITH TALLY
Tally allows the user to specify whether accounts and inventory are to
be integrated or not.
 Tally has the capacity to handle inventory accounting details
with respect to purchase, sales, movement between storage locations,
inventory ageing analysis and lots of other features. Tally will separately
maintain stock balances.
 These are no pre-defined set of stock groups. Next, the user
must create individual stock items, which is similar to creating ledger
accounts. Finally, the user can use inventory vouchers to record various
transactions relating to stock items.
