Iffort, was my destination organisation for the Industrial training semester for the completion of my graduation. Unlike what was expected , it was much more fun then just working and learning.
1. A Journey Of ‘Corporate Transformation’
My 6 months at Iffort
(A Thank you Gesture)
2. Interview Day
• It was 8th September 2011, a bright sunny Sunday of the winters.
• The first thought that clicked my mind after listening about a
company coming was to bunk it and watch TWILIGHT again.
• Unlike my friend and colleague ‘Anant’ mentioned about his
interests in sleeping, I was more interested to enjoy my new found
freedom (My exams were just over).
3. VOTES Only me
VS
VOTES Mommie Brother Cousins (Unexpected) TPO Teachers
4. • But then who can win over a yelling mom telling you how
important each action of a person is and stuff.
• Being stubborn I kept both tasks going so I PRE-BOOKED
tickets for evening show :D
5. The Interview
• The interview Was not as I expected but it went well.
• I was asked about my hobbies, The ups and downs in my academic graph
and my interests I want to pursue further
• After crossing all the possible hurdles : Surviving the Presentation awake,
the group discussion and came the final step INTERVIEW.
• After a round of questions being shot at me, I knew I was all set for the
MOVIE (the only thing on my mind).
6. From Interview Till Joining
• The day results were announced, was the day the training
tension was relieved.
• It was decided that , I’ll be joining IFFORT but then there was
a thunder storm inside : How everything will be managed? ,
How is the environment going be?
• To my good luck , we were told that there is more of Casual
environment.
• Looking at the Facebook Page and the presentation on the
interview day , it really seem to be fun at the other end.
• Zip Zap Zoom… time flew and it was December. Time to pack
my bags and Get Set Go.
7. First Day
All the Nervousness and Excitement was finally met with on 19th
December when I first came to IFFORT.
With so many hopes and dreams of new start , I thought of the
new horizons that will be set.
It all started well but then at the end of the day, what I felt like
was as follows :
8.
9. Challenges and Solutions
• Biggest challenge of all “CODING”.
• It has been a nightmare since my 2nd year.
• As mentioned in my interview session i was determined to learn it but
even then at times it gave me goose bumps of fear when I could not and
other times due to excitement when I could actually bug it :)
• This was not feasible without the guidelines from other team mates
though.
• I am glad they are helpful #GodSavedMyAss.
10. Inspiration from colleagues
Everyone here has unique positive points . So if a person is willing to learn , you
have a lot to move ahead with .
Sunny Jindal: He is always calm. Always.
I have never seen him panic, whatever the situation is.
Daksh Sharma: He knows something about almost
everything, which means he reads a lot. So this has
made me increasing my reading habits.
Tabrez Ansari: He has his own way to help people.
Though he won’t be available all the time or just
pretend not to but then when you find no solution
Booooommm he is there as a guardian angel.
11. Shrey Mishra: I have never seen this person on a
low mode. He is always inspired always motivated.
Neha Mittal: She has her own way of caring . You never feel
unwanted. She knows how to cheer anyone and find
solutions to their worries.
Sudhanshu Bajaj: He has really worked hard to
gain experience. And most of the times he is ready
to help. I have seen him transform from Wicked
Avatar to a helpful one .
12. Vipasha Sood: She comforts you with her talks. Feeling out
of place? Go sit with her and there you are, in the league.
Patience is another major quality in her only when the issues
are work related.
Vinay Singh Rawat: He is too soft spoken. Even if he has to
argue, his voice levels never go up. He is very helpful, if I was
unaware of some terms etc he is the right person to contact,
He would tell you without making fun of you. #Hopefully.
13. Anant: He is a good listener. One might not guess how creative
he can be at times from the way he reacts at first but then
give him a task , look up to him and he’ll rock !
Yashdeep Arora: He is so observed with his work, won’t know
what’s going around until he is poked.
Deepa Johri: Smile. U will always find one on her lips. The tension
free attitude she carries makes me go GAGA.
14. Varun: He is interactive and creative. Not to forget his comm.
skills are impressive.
15. Accomplishments
As a part of my training I have got the opportunity to coordinate
with my colleagues on a number of projects.
They’ll be :
•Meboc Institute. The website is for a Spanish school based in Colombia.
16. • Samsung GMCS: This project was/is (actually) to represent the sales data in
a graphical format for ‘Samsung Mobiles’. My contribution was as an analyst.
• Crazeal’s Road to Harley: As interesting as it sounds, this was a micro
portal developed for ‘Road To Harley ’ Contest By Crazeal.
• Himalayan River Runners: The project was to develop am attractive
website for The HRR India group. The end results were Something like this:
17. • Apart from these I have done other tasks in my training duration like :
Writing Blog Posts
Attending Workshops
Documenting
• Not only working was done in this! Common we aren't GEEKs . Had
loads of fun
19. As a part of learning my lessons in childhood something left a deep impact on
my mind. It was
“The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep..”
So whatever tit bits I have done so far, might not be a big achievement but it
does matters to me and adds precious memories to my Fantasy box. There is
lot more to do, lot more to work on and lot more to learn.
20. Feedback
Cool Colleagues
Cool Place to LEARN
Cool Place to Work
Perfect combination of work and life.
21. This is not the end of the road. I believe I am just a step behind the beginning
of a new journey.
Things don’t end here!
I would like to know my short comings , I need to improve on or my positive
points that my team mates would like to point out.
22. Thank you everyone.
Training could not be any better than this.
Sweet Memories for lifetime.
