9. Incident That Changed My Life
I was 10 years old when I had to give speech on the topic
“My role Model”. With lots of tension, I started delivering
the speech. In the middle, I suddenly got struck as all the
memorized contents were flushed off my memory. I was
spell bound for some time.I was looking at the eyes of
audience and thinking what to do: Option 1: Say “sorry”
and get back to seat. Option 2: I want to complete my
speech, which I have prepared-No matter what happens?
In confused mind, very difficult to decide which option to
take? I chose the option 2.Then in the next moment, with
lightening speed, all the contents got loaded into my
memory and then I resumed my speech and completed it.
I felt so bad for it and I returned empty handed. Following
this incident, I started working on how to improve my
presentation skills. This incident was a motivation factor
for me. After this incident I tried to improve my
communication skills and now I can really feel the change
I can speak towards audience without any hesitation and
nervousness. This incident really had a great influence on
me.

After attending so many classes of English Lab,
we literally feel the change in our speaking
