1. Don T Judge A Book By Its Cover Analysis
Don't judge a book by it's cover. This is a famous saying, and it is used many times when you are
checking a book. But this saying also works for people. In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee writes
about life in Maycomb, and how many characters has some rumors that affected them negatively.
Harper Lee also sends this message to the readers, that we can not judge people by their cover. We
can not judge them by either, race, rumors, etc. Boo Radley, Tom Robinson, and Dolphus Raymond
all had bad things said about them. Scout also sees that these people are truly not bad people. The
theme is that outward appearances is not always accurate. Boo Radley was an adult that was thought
to believe that he stabbed his dad in the leg with scissors when he was a teenager. Scout, Jem, and
Dill always feared him. The feared him so much, that they always cautioned whenever they crossed
over to their house. They even made a dare that involved braveness and Boo Radley. ¨Well how'd
you feel if you'd been shut up for a hundred years with nothin' but cats to eat?¨ But Boo isn't is bad
as he seems. First of all, it was uncertain, whether he actually stabbed his dad or not. Number 2, he's
been there for Scout. For example, he put the blanket around Scout, during the house fire of one of
Scout's neighbors. And how he saved Scout and Jem from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

But really, they have a inner soul that no one in Maycomb could see. They see the monster in Boo
Radley. How he stabbed his father, and hid in his house. How everyone in Maycomb thought
Dolphus Raymond was a drunk, but he was actually just acting drunk, so that no one will stand in
his way. And how Tom Robinson is innocent, but to the eyes of the jury, and many of the people of
Maycomb, thought he was guilty. Harper Lee shows us that outward appearances are not always
what they seem, and that we have to not judge them by their appearance or their

3. Frankenstein Book Cover Analysis
The first new cover I created for Frankenstein depicts Frankenstein's monster floating off the coast
of Ireland after murdering Henry Clerval. I chose to portray this scene because the death of Clerval
and the events leading up to it (namely Victor ultimately refusing to create a female partner for the
creature) are pivotal moments in the story. They mark the beginning of the bloodthirsty 'war' of
revenge between Victor and the creature, which results in the death of both the book's main
protagonist and antagonist. The cover also displays the two parts of the creature's character; the solid
black silhouette, sitting stall and unfazed after killing Henry represents the part that seeks revenge
against his creator and mankind, while the reflection

5. Two Earth's Book Cover
I wanted to make a book cover that shows how Travis changed his life, so I created two Earth's. The
first Earth represents the things that he did wrong and the second Earth represents him changing
everything that he had done wrong. The colors that I chose for the first Earth are dark red, dark
purple and black. Dark red represents anger because he was upset with his father for not believing in
anything that he did. The second color is dark purple and it represents the sad feelings that he had
during that time. The black represents the unknown things that he didn't know at that time. For the
second Earth I used light yellow, green and dark blue. The light yellow represents joy and freshness
because that's how he was feeling when he got

7. Don 't Judge A Book By Its Cover
Don't judge a book by its cover" was a saying during my childhood I heard every day. Growing up I
was not the handsome boy you ever seen. I had a double chin, side rolls, and my stomach overlap
my waistline. That's where the name I received, "fat boy" came from was because of my appearance.
That name for some reason made my father and brother laugh till tears come out. As I got older the
double, side rolls, and my overlapping stomach started to slim and made me start looking normal
size. As I was starting to look human all of sudden these pimples and acne started to appear.
Transitioning to this stage of my life which caused my mom to teach me a valuable lesson and that
was to "Don't judge a book by its cover". As I was growing up my family and I had what we like to
call weekly reunions, which started in 2000 as I was approaching age 4. These reunions consist of
playing cards such as poker or blackjack, kids would be outside playing kickball and musical chairs,
and the grownups would be competing in a drinking contest. When daylight started shifting to night
we would always get together in a big circle and sing songs by James Brown or Charlie Wilson on
the karaoke machine. Then in the last 15 minutes our grandparents and great grandparents would tell
us life stories, in which these was very motivational and inspiring. As years pass these weekly
reunions was starting to become a tradition but these weekly reunions started to become torture for
my mom. There is a total of

9. My Favorite Levels Of Love : The Love Of Reading
I´ve had highs and lows with reading. I loved it then i hated it then i loved it again and i hated it. Í
started at a young age with picture books and soon came into the big books. Ive done challenges and
i have wrote for the school newspaper. I dont still do it but i will always remember those. I started
reading a writing at a young age. I was probably younger than I could remember when my mother
would read the short picture books to my while I lay in bed. One book I remember was ¨The Very
Hungry Caterpillar¨ by Eric Carle. I used to be in love with that book I always thought that was the
most interesting thing. Give or take I was only 2 years old. From then on I read and read to the point
where I was like Sonic reading all of those books. Nobody read faster in my preschool, kindergarten
and first grade classes. One day I was sitting in my kindergarten class and teacher told us to go the
library. We all had gotten in that single file line they always made us get in. I hated that, it was
always a nasty little competition to get to the front of the line. We would walk all the way down to
the library which felt like forever do to the never ending talking and shushing game the teacher
played with the one little rebel in the back of the line. When we get within the library it always felt
massive to me, could probably be due to the sheer massive size I was. I was probably 4´2 80 pounds.

11. Not Judge A Book By Its Cover
Never Judge a Book By its Cover
It is often said to never judge a book by its cover, yet in today's society judging is a major asset that
the citizens of the United States tend to do. In the school house, on the roads, in restaurants, grocery
stores, job interviews, and even in the churches are very familiar places where judging has become
vital. People are starting to discriminate, stereotype, and evaluate others as a lifestyle rather than a
duty. Today, many people are experiencing discrimination and stereotyping within finding jobs. In
today's society, when managers review an application the first aspect they view is the age. When a
manager sees that the applicant is under the age of eighteen years, he or she tends to think that the
applicant has no experience or maturity. Furthermore, when a person scans over a job objective or
description, the person tends to see sexist jobs. For instance, a firefighter is typically a dominant
male position. When an applicant reads the objectives, it states a gender within the use of pronouns
such as he or him. Also, males typically do not apply for dominant female position. For example,
males do not apply for secretary, nurse, or even school teacher positions, whereas many males have
a tendency to apply for masculine jobs such as police officers, administrators, or security. Many
employers do not notice this, but this is categorized as discrimination. Additionally, teenage students
are encountering more and more discrimination

13. Strengths Of Steganography
Abstract– Steganography is a technique of hiding the secret information. Steganography hides the
existence of the secret data and make the communication undetectable. Secret data can be
communicated in an appropriate multimedia carrier such as image, audio or video. Image
steganography is extensively used technique. In this technique secret data is embedded within the
image. Steganography techniques can be categorized into two groups – adaptive and non–adaptive.
Each of these have its strengths and weaknesses. Adaptive steganography embeds the secret
information in the image by adapting some of the local features of the image. Non–adaptive
steganography embeds secret data equally in each and every pixel of the image. Several techniques

Still, message transmissions over the Internet need to face a few issues, for example, copyright
control, information security, and so on. Consequently we need secure secret specialized strategies
for transmitting message over the Internet. Encryption is a surely understood strategy for security
insurance, which alludes to the process of encoding secret data in such an approach, that just the
person with the right key can effectively decode it. In any case, encryption makes the message
unreadable, and making message sufficiently suspicious to pull eavesdroppers' consideration.
Another approach to tackle this issue is to conceal the mystery data behind a cover with the goal that
it draws no extraordinary consideration. This strategy of data security is called steganography

There are a many compelling themes in Frankenstein. However, two themes running through the

17. Summary Of Paula Dan's Short Story 'Faces'
Fibber Flowers From the beginning of their days, children are endlessly taught that true beauty lies
within, even if the exterior looks rather dull or repulsive. The skeleton of prejudice is based on not
wanting something or someone because of one's precomposed perception, despite the fact that the
receiver of the prejudice's true identity and character are unknown. Paradoxically, the thin coat of
glitter and gold can easily be used to conceal the coal and soot underneath. In her short story
"Faces", Paula Dan recounts a tale of a Janus–faced man. The story, based on a similar incident that
took place in her mid–teens, describes how a seemingly pleasant and caring man only uses his
supposed qualities to blind others of his abusive tendencies. Through the characterization of Mr.
Stavros' (aforementioned man) instability, the symbolism of plants and metaphors, Dan vividly
illustrates the concealment of the indisputable disorder and obscenities within the Stavros
household, no matter how many lies the flowers feed the eyes of outsiders. When Mr. Stavros is first

the family's dynamics and relationship, hiding it behind these beautiful and pretentious flowers

situations are becoming more and more frequent, due to the fact that they are rising in occurrences,
it is essential to know how you can better prepare yourself for such an event. An active shooter is
defined as, "an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and
populated area; in most cases, active shooters use firearms(s) and there is no pattern or method to
their selection of victims". (U.S. Department of Homeland Security, 2008) Most often active
shooters events will end quickly, "active shooters will continue to move throughout building or area
until stopped by law enforcement, suicide, or other intervention. (Deputy Les Wiemers, n.d.) Active
shooter events have been occurring for a very long time throughout our history. One case of
domestic terrorism and school involved shooting happened on April 20, 1999. Columbine high

enforcement agencies responded knowing they had to set up a perimeter and wait for S.W.A.T to

21. Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None
People have always said not to judge a book by its cover. Well disregard that because in order to
analyse a book cover, you have to judge it. The book And Then There Were None written by Agatha
Christie has many book jackets, some enticing and some not, but there is one in particular that
stands out. This book cover has a good appearance that hints certain occurrences, it has the ability to
be alluring as well has having good font, but despite these great qualities, it does have a flaw or two.
The first few good factors of this book cover is its representation and subtle giveaways. At first

not have been able to tell that they are soldier ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First thing is the writing and the fact that Agatha Christie's name is not written on it. How is
someone supposed to know who the book is by if it is not written on the book. Besides the title,
having the author's name is one of the most important elements of the book jacket. Along with that
fault, there is the fact that, in spite of all the good features of the cover, there is no alluring colors, it
is just red and black. Maybe, if you're someone who likes dark stories and murder mysteries then it'll
allure you, but in order to appeal to everyone, there needs to be more than just a black background
with red China figures and blood. Also, the writing isn't so appealing, it looks like it was scratched
on. The writing could work for a horror story, but not a murder mystery. Maybe going through those
series of events was painful and terrifying for the characters, but for the readers it is something that
makes you want to keep reading. It keeps people hooked, but in no way is the story frightening, if
anything it is interesting. Nevertheless, these flaws do not stop this book from being a good read.
Sometimes it is best to judge a book by its cover, because it can tell you a lot about the book. The

23. One Of Ours Book Cover Analysis
This book cover is appealing to me because it shows a peaceful farm with clouds hovering above it.
The cover depicts the first part of the novel when Claude is one his farm in Nebraska. It shows his
farm and his fortunate house in the view, and has peaceful shades of color making it an attractive
book cover. I chose this image because One of Ours by Willa Cather has several different book
covers. This is one of the most appealing to me because they not only provide a pretty picture but
provide an illustration of events that occurred in the novel. This book cover, in particular, illustrates
the days that Claude had on the farm in the first two parts of the novel. It is also the farm that
Claude grew up in so it would only be logical for it to provide a feeling of tranquility and calmness
when looking at a hometown. It may even remind someone of their own hometown, and all of the
joys and memories made as a child. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This has the Nebraskan tone to it because there is nothing but crops for miles. This could represent
the blandness or emptiness that Claude felt while he was still in Nebraska with his family. In the

and could represent the blandness and lack of interesting things in his time in Nebraska. Nebraska is
usually associated with the Great Plains and its rural locations that farmers live on. It appears,
because of the use of colors, that it is similar to other mid–western works of art. I like this art
because it can directly relate to Claude if were to have survived the war. The piece of art reminds me
of The Grapes of Wrath cover because of the colors and the rural feeling it has. Obviously, the scene

27. Dont Judge a Book by the Cover Essay
You Can't Tell
Many people feel that you can tell a lot about a person by observing what they wear and what they
eat. This is not the case. Choice of clothing and eating habits, in no way, allow you to pass judgment
on a person. Judging people based on these factors is extremely shallow. What one wears and eats in
no way depicts character, behavior, or even intelligence. One simply cannot know a person by
looking at them and observing what they eat. Such a thought is ridiculous.
Instead of looking at clothing and what one is eating, character should be the basis for opinion.

Wearing nice clothes and eating fancy food means nothing if the person behaves like a child. A
person wearing dirty clothes and eating out of the garbage may behave better. This is why
prejudging people can often wrong. A bum with good manners and behavior would be more pleasant
to be around than a rich, snob with no manners and horrible behavior. One cannot have a full
outlook on an individual by just viewing their dress and eating habits. Looking at someone's
clothing or what is in their refrigerator does not depict behavior.
By seeing what one wears and eats in no way allows you to know if the person is intelligent. Crazy
as it sounds, some bums are educated, smart people. These bums eating from garbage's may even
carry a conversation better than someone wearing a business suit and eating Red Lobster every
night. An intelligent person could simply choose not to care about dress. Not all smart people
conform to what society feels is appropriate. Some may choose to dress like bums simply because
they don't care. It doesn't mean they're any less smart or have less money. It could mean that such
petty things do not get to this person. To me this shows tremendous strength. Intelligence cannot be
judged by observing one's clothing and eating habits.

Book covers may be argued to be the most important pieces of paper within a piece of writing. They
are responsible for sparking interest in readers, determining whether the book will be picked up and

features a mockingbird– symbolizing the innocence that is lost through contact with evil– that is
used to spark curiosity amongst readers about its meaning in the novel. Oftentimes, book covers
have a deeper meaning behind them, featuring objects that symbolize ideas different from their

know there isn't no fear, either" (Golding 118). In order to please the "beast", the boys leave it
sacrifices including a pig's head. As the novel progresses, the boys feel the need to characterize each
other as the beast in order to turn the monster that doesn't exist into a physical object. On Simon's

Ralph and Piggy, characters that are seen as intelligent and civilized, help kill Simon. At this point,
the beast has transformed from a fear of the unknown into an internal beast, "maybe it's [the beast]

Would you trade your paperback books in for digital versions? Have you ever used an electronic
textbook? Studies show that while young people are interested in e–readers, two–thirds of them do
not want to give up traditional print books (Doyne 2010). Kids are growing up in a world where
technology is all around them, it's all they know. Technology influences everything we do, most
people use it on a daily basis, so why not make it educational too? Many people use e–readers
because they claim they can carry an entire library wherever they go (MiladyL 2016). Some
denounce the use of digital readers, calling it unhealthy and dangerous. But what are the facts? Is it a
good idea to replace your paper with electronics? (Richardson 2017) Technology influences
everything we do and even books have not been left untouched. Today you can pick up one device
that contains all your books. Some of the cons of carrying your books around are that they are too
heavy to carry around, they use a natural resource during production, they are hard to see in bad
lighting and for older people there's some strain on the eyes, and printed books are more expensive
than electronic versions. (Richardson 2017) Let's face it, mostly everyone has a phone or a tablet of
some sort, so why not use them productively. Books are so much cheaper digitally, some are even
free. Some people will argue that the digital versions will put a glare on the screen and put a strain

Especially towards women since the way we look can somehow either open or close doors for us.
For it seems that "the more attractive the women are, the wider her pool of romantic partners and

I have recently read a book, Under Cover, by Chris Ryan. This book features a 14–year–old boy,
Ricky, who's been living on the streets since his parents died, and his sister committed suicide. After
being kicked out of the dodgy apartment he rented, through money he made by pick pocketing, a
stranger finds him, gives him a place to stay and training for free. But the real question is why? It is
part of the 'Agent 21' series, although you can read it as a stand–alone. I believe you would relish
this book for several reasons. The first being, it was a thrilling, suspenseful, fast–moving book that
hooked me in from the beginning. It featured multiple unexpected plot twists that left me
questioning and foreshadowing. The story transfixed me from

45. Essay about Banning Books in Schools
School boards and teachers have a responsibility for protecting the minds of their students and
covering age appropriate material. However, does this responsibility cover the extreme act of
banning books from school classrooms? Does not the teacher have a duty to introduce to their
students world issues in order to better the students ability to cope with problems in the world? How
does a school decide which books should be banned from the classroom, and should it be left up to
the teacher to decide what is decided in his/her classroom. By banning books from the classroom,
we prevent our students from learning about controversial topics in a safe environment, and we also
encroach upon the student's freedom of reading what they want in ... Show more content on

According to the American Library Association, the most common group of people, challenging a
book being read in schools, was the parents of the students. Parents have a right to be in charge of
what is put into the minds of their students, however just because one parent objects does not mean
that the whole school should ban the book from the list. A solution for this book would be to enforce
parental consent for books to be read in the classroom. If a parent does not want a book to be read in
the classroom, then there should be other options for the student to read. The school and teacher
should not trespass on a parent's rights of raising their child. I believe that if a parent has a concern,
they should go and discuss the problem with the teacher so that the teacher will be able to defend
their reasoning for choosing the book to be read in the classroom.
If a controversial book will be read in the classroom, it is the teacher's responsibility to prepare the
student for it. The teacher must ensure that the book is age–appropriate for the student, and is
appropriate for the subject matter that the teacher is covering. Reading books such as Catcher in The
Rye without discussion can be more harmful than helpful to a student. The Catcher in The Rye has
obscene language, violence, occult practices, and sexual references (Doyle 2010). This book should
only be read by a mature age group with a

I did the The Great Gatsby book cover by F.Scott Fitzgerald. The reason why I symbolise this book

How I got to where i am in literature I´ve had highs and lows with reading. I loved it then i hated it
then i loved it again and i hated it. Í started at a young age with picture books and soon came into
the big books. Ive done challenges and i have wrote for the school newspaper. I dont still do it but i
will always remember those. I started reading a writing at a young age. I was probably younger than
I could remember when my mother would read the short picture books to my while I lay in bed. One
book I remember was ¨The Very Hungry Caterpillar¨ by Eric Carle. I used to be in love with that
book I always thought that was the most interesting thing. Give or take I was only 2 years old. From
then on I read and read to the point where I was like Sonic reading all of those books. Nobody read
faster in my preschool, kindergarten and first grade classes. One day I was sitting in my
kindergarten class and teacher told us to go the library. We all had gotten in that single file line they
always made us get in. I hated that, it was always a nasty little competition to get to the front of the
line. We would walk all the way down to the library which felt like forever do to the never ending
talking and shushing game the teacher played with the one little rebel in the back of the line. When
we get within the library it always felt massive to me, could probably be due to the sheer massive
size I was. I was probably 4´2 80 pounds. I got my bright blue book marker and started to walk

51. The Grass Is Always Greener In Carl Sandburg's Grass
The Grass Is Always Greener (Over the Cemetery): the Use of Proper Nouns, the Imperative Tense,
and Tension Between the First and Third Person in Carl Sandburg's Grass When a battle is over, the
field on which it was fought must look like a wound on the face of the earth: the blood–soaked
ground strewn with bodies, lying in mud churned by thousands of marching feet. Eventually, grass
grows over the battlefield, hiding the evidence of the horrors that took place there under a blanket of
green. In years to come, the area appears so unremarkable that passersby have no indication of what
took place there. However, without remembrance, what is to stop history from continually repeating
itself? Carl Sandburg, in his poem Grass, uses the imperative tense, proper nouns, and tension
between the first person and the third person points of view to show that humanity repeats its
mistakes because nature always conceals them. Sandburg uses proper nouns throughout the poem to
emphasize the reality of wars fought and lives lost. By calling battles by their proper names, in
ominous, measured sentences, he is peeling back, so to speak, the layer of grass concealing them.
This technique makes it impossible to gloss over the atrocities that were committed. When he says,
"Pile the bodies high at Austerlitz and Waterloo" (Line 1), "And pile them high at Ypres and Verdun"
(5), he is naming specific places, where individuals died at a certain time. Readers are unable to

53. Quotes For The Book Cover By Josephine Hart
The way i interpret this quotes is that it's saying that this character tries to judge people by their
aurora, or personality, instead of their physical body. I can relate this back to myself because this is
how i usually try to judge people, because you can never tell what a person has been through or
experienced by just looking at their physical appearance. While i believe wholeheartedly that the
physical appearance of a person shouldn't affect they way they are treated i agree with the way that
this character adds on the "or at least how i try" because when you first meet someone , before you
have a conversation with them, their physical appearance is all the information you have to go on. In
a way physical appearance is the earliest and easiest way to categorize a person. I like to think that i
personally go back ,after first making an assumption based on , and form a new opinion based on
proven facts .
How can a person be caked in there own body? I understand how someone could be caked in

this quote i thought it was referencing the cruelty of humans and how we can lock our sadness away

Sam, in your essay you analyzed aspects of the cover that I would not have immediately thought of.
You brought up interesting points about both the covers and there influence in the classroom, but I
still wonder about a few of the points mentioned in your paper.
When looking at the covers for "Monster" I definitely agree that they are targeted towards males
because the colors used and the male on both covers. Considering that there is a mug shot on Myer's
illustration, it certainly hints that there will be violence, which is stereotypically appealing to men. I
found it interesting how in the illustration by Myers the letters of the title resemble the bars in prison

While I agree that this cover may attract more student s because of its comic like illustration, it fails

Overall, you thoroughly analyzed both covers and I would agree with you that Myers cover is more
suitable for the book considering how much it encloses about the plot. I would have loved to hear
more about if you think the cover would attract an older audience outside of the high school age.
Additionally one thought that I had while reading your paper was considering this is a young adult
novel, why would the illustrator want to make the cover look rough and violent especially since in
the book it makes it seem as though Steve is guilty? Do you think Myers purposely added the mug
shot and bar cell like letters to suggest that Steve is not as innocent as he appears to be? Also, why

57. Personal Narrative: Judging A Book By Its Cover
I know this totally sounds cliché, but a lot of people haven't absorbed the fact that "judging a book
by its cover" is the worst thing you can do in life.
As you walk in the school hallway, you notice the shy girl that everyone calls the "antisocial girl"
and then have no interest whatsoever in getting to know her better or even smile or greet her. Why?
Because people classify the individuals around them based on what they think, subjective thoughts,
and not what they know about her. All they know is that she's quiet, unexpressive, and blushes a lot.
Is that even a problem? Is being shy a problem nowadays? I think it's just a personality trait that
might simply fade away with time, but why not give her a chance? Any person can be the best
person you've met in your life, you just have to dig into their personality to see who they truly are.

In the United States, the term "pit bull" has been applied to breeds such as American and English
bulldogs, Staffordshire bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers and American Pit Bull terriers,
as well as mixes of these and other breeds (Cohen, J., & Richardson, 2002). These animals are
unfairly judged because what people put out on the media for most people to watch. The media
brainwashes many people to think pit bulls are ferocious, uncontrollable, pit fighting animals and
they started banning them in some states with the numbers growing. People should not judge a book
by its cover. Pitbull's have good qualities; some people may disagree or agree. Now is the time to
agree because of what these dogs provide for the community. Let's focus on the good qualities of a

attacks of dog biting.
Banning of pit bulls in United States Pitbull's do have a record of attacking people but it goes with
circumstances and ownership as well. People social and areas of living play a big role how the dogs

Published in September 5, 1942 by the same artist Constantine Alajalov, we can see by the first view
of the cover on how the war has impacted the American industry. During the time of the war, many
able bodied men were either getting trained or in combat and with the high demand of labor for war
industries, many women for the first time have entered the work force performing jobs that usually
only men can handle. From this cover we see both men and women taking their lunch breaks, the
interesting part is how they're being represented. In one side we see the men all dispirited from their
work in plain darken clothes, while we see the women sitting in a circle all talking and laughing
dressed in bright colorful clothes. This possibly reflects the different attitudes toward their work of
the two groups. The women depicted here seems very pleased with the work they're doing and
helping as much as they can in the war, since before WWII they only been able to help in limited
ways. On the other hand, the men working here have likely been rejected by the army, who would
prefer to be fighting than working in a factory. Constantin Alajalov painted this picture possibly to
show how it reflects the different attitudes toward work which the American people had based upon
their gender and their situations, as well as some tensions in which the war has created. These two

The assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr. was a very emotional time in our nation's history.
This horrifying incident occurred on November 22, 1963, in a motorcade procession in Dallas,
Texas. At 12:30 in the afternoon the procession was going down Elm Street in Dealy Plaza, when
shots were fired. One struck President Kennedy in the throat and moments later a bullet tore apart
his head. At 1:00 p.m., President JFK was pronounced dead. That same afternoon, Lee Harvey

Of all the interviewed doctors who attended the autopsy, and saw the photographs, some claim they
do not show a large wound in the right rear portion of the skull. There is a missing piece somewhere
in this investigation, but this is only the first.
After watching the Zapruder films, the investigation was faced with another problem. President JKF
was shot in the throat, Governor Connolly was shot in the back, a missed shot, and the fatal shot to
the president's head. Four shots with the Mannlicher–Carcano, the supposed assassination weapon,

resolved it by saying that the bullet that struck the President's throat also hit Governor Connolly.

65. Cover To Cover Movie Vs Book
Hello and welcome to "Cover to Cover", the segment where I compare and review a book and its
movie counterpart. Today, we'll be looking at "The power of one", by Bryce Courtenay.
This is an American drama film, set in South Africa in times of apartheid in World War 2. It's the
story of a 6 year old boy named "Peter Philip Kennith Keith", or better known as "Peekay", who
struggles against the difficulties of racism, Apartheid and displays how even the power of only one,
can change a nation.
The plot within the film is quite easy to follow, staying relatively faithful to the book at the
beginning, but loses track towards the end. However, there are times where major differences and
variations occur between the two, which doesn't contribute to the film being as believable as the
novel. An example of this is what occurs during Peekay's travel to his grandpa, via the train. The
sequence of events during this travel are left out in the film, which actually left me quite confused as

Close up scenes seemed to be particularly well done, with use of cutting between two subjects
(particularly in the scenes where Peekay attends boxing training). This shows the different emotions
and expressions of various characters. However, there are times where constant cutting can become
irritating and rather unnecessary. Special effects and props didn't feel as if they were believable
enough to take seriously. Use of lighting in various scenes can evoke different feelings and display
environments in a different perspective. A good example of this is where, during the piano and
singing performance by the prisoners, Piet walks along the back of a building, making his way
towards the performance, when a guard encounters him, beats him up for not telling what the
prisoners are singing, and then dies. This scene darkens all surroundings and shines exclusively on

When we don't wear "appropriate" clothes for an event, it comes off as disrespectful. Based on
