The government of Sindh stands committed to universalize education under the
Sindh right of children to free and compulsory education act, 2013.
Under the act, the government's top priority is 'to provide for free and compulsory
education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years

Under School Specific Budget program all functional primary, middle, elementary,

Literacy Department get school related non-salary budgets to run schools in an
efficient and smooth manner. Allocation of SSB (School Specific Budget) is based
on level, size and enrollment of school.
It is given under the heads of stationery, co-curricular activities, sports items,
Instructional/ in-class materials, library/laboratory items, Furniture and travelling
allowance
