2. Frett Board
Font type-Impact
This font appealed to me is it contains a very striking and eye-catching essence that makes me
want to look at it for a long period of time. Even when my eyes are looking at something else
on the page, the largeness and thickness of the writing of this font is very tempting to look at.
This is highly beneficial as it’s a smart way of getting my target audience to gain curiosity and
interest in my magazine, and because the front page of my music magazine is hugely important
as it’s the first judgement factor and impression, I would need to have a strong font like this.
The one thing I don’t appreciate about this font is the writing looks a very typical and not
unique which is something I aim to include in my design. However apart from this, I really like
and admire this font.
3. Frett BoardFont type-Papryus
This font is very interesting as it is unique and different from other fonts that are used in music
magazines. I really like the little ruff edges applied to each of the letters of the text as it gives a
very edgy and strong look. This type of look is well suited to the genre that my music magazine
is enhancing (Indie and Rock) Furthermore the font is joint between a sans serif font and a non
sand serif font as some letters are straight and formal whereas other letters are very curvy and
connotes a very sassy look. I think this is brilliant as it includes both types of characteristics that
these two font types consists of which makes my tittle look more big and eye-catching.
4. Frett BoardFont type-copperplate
I really love this found as it looks very grand and proud, as if it were an own person
representing its personality. The font has a lot of pointy edges which makes each letter stand
out distinctly from the others which provides a really interesting overall effect. Each letter is
spread out in a different space from the rest of the other fonts I have chosen which gives each
letter an equal amount of importance as the rest of the other letter in the font which connotes
a really nice and safe image to my audiences. Audience this type of writing would be closely
linked to the genre of music magazine I want to go with. Additionally I was considering placing
the “Board” behind “Frett” and bringing the two words close together to provide a really
unique effect. I'm more attracted to using this font as my final font for my tittle.
5. Frett BoardFont type-Herculanum
This font resembles the type of font used in ancient Chinese writing which is really cool as it
gives off an action and thrilling essence which I would really love for my magazine to connote.
Additionally this font contains certain parts which are thick and thin which adds together to
give a very eye-catching complexion which would attract people to view and read my magazine.
I would, however, be concerned about the Chinese look this font has I wouldn't’t want to
mislead people into thinking my music contains elements of Chinese music of some sort, in it as
that would be missing my whole point of attracting a certain target audience.
6. Frett Board
Font type-Chalkduster
This Chalk duster font is very different from the previous fonts I have picked as this one is more
cartoon sketched whereas the other fonts are more formal. However I could also saying that
this font resembles the Papyrus font I used in slide three as it contains the little holes that are
imprinted in that font as well. But the clear difference I this type of writing is over crowded
with little tiny dots which give off a very rebellious look as it looks like the tittle has been
scratched off a little. This is a pretty intensive font which would be adored by my target
audience who are into intense music and things related to that.
