Large biting flies generally.
Three most important generas:
Stouts, Clegs (Haematopota)
Green heads, Horse flies (Tabanus)
Deer flies (Chrysops)
They can be pests to cattle, horses, and humans.
About 250 genera and 2000 species distributed mainly in tropical and
subtropical regions and a few also in temperate regions.
Erect or twining perennial herbs (Asclepias), shrubs (Calotropis procera), vines (Leptadenia), or
rarely small trees (Calotropis gigantea). Cryptostegia grandiflora is a stout climbing shrub.
Leaves, usually simple, opposite decussate. Rarely alternate/ whorled.
Inflorescence, mostly dichasial or polychasial cyme.Flower, Bracteate, often bracteolate, complete; actinomorphic, rarely zygomorphic (Ceropegia),
hermaphrodite, pentamerous (except the gynoecium), hypogynous, cyclic.
Perianth biseriate.
A nectariferous corona, consisting of 5 hoods may be present.
Depending upon the condition of androecium, two subfamilies are recognised.
Gynoecium: Bicarpellary, the carpels are free below but united by their apices into the single 5-lobed
stigma; ovary superior.
Fruit: A follicetum of 2 follicles (commonly 1 abort).
Based on pollen characters, Asclepiadaceae is divided into two subfamilies, viz. (i) Periplocoideae
(pollen grains in tetrads; filaments free), and (ii) Cynanchoideae (pollen grains united in pollinia;
filaments united in a tube). Asclepiadaceae is most closely allied to Apocynaceae, and in majority of
the systems of classification both these families are placed side by side. However, the characters such
as presence of translators and presence of gynostegium are absent in Apocynaceae

It covers basic terminology of pollination (cross-pollination, pollenizer, etc.), common fruit grown in the mid-Atlantic, basics of flower structure and varietal issues relating to pollination needs, honey bee (Apis mellifera) colony recommendations, and highlights non-Apis bees important for pollination. It also highlights fruit families and relationships to native flora, providing fruit for thought regarding pollination in the New World prior to introduction of honey bees. Research results regarding the role of non-Apis bees are summarized, along with buzz pollination, and land management suggestions to support pollinator populations.

The infamous Mallox is the digital Robin Hoods of our time, except they steal from everyone and give to themselves. Since mid-2021, they've been playing hide and seek with unsecured Microsoft SQL servers, encrypting data, and then graciously offering to give it back for a modest Bitcoin donation.
Mallox decided to go shopping for new malware toys, adding the Remcos RAT, BatCloak, and a sprinkle of Metasploit to their collection. They're now playing a game of "Catch me if you can" with antivirus software, using their FUD obfuscator packers to turn their ransomware into the digital equivalent of a ninja.
