We, the French, do so believe that we deserve the land in the Ohio River Valley for numerous
reasons. For one, we found the land before the British and are better tenants as we are paying the
natives to rent their land. Secondly, we could use the resources for our incredibly fruitful fur trade.
Thirdly, we have better military strategies. We deserve the Ohio River Valley because we came

that they arrived before us, but really French explorers Cartier, who found the land in 1534, and La

The French and Indian War altered greatly altered the political, economic, and ideological relations
between Britain and its American colonies. In terms of politics, England suddenly began to get too
involved in the well–being of the colonies and soon started to tax them heavily and impose new,
unjust laws. Not only did these laws and taxes weaken the political relations amongst the two
nations but they also weakened the economic relations as well. In terms of ideological relations, all
the strife that was going on with the unreasonable taxes and unfair laws was causing growing

FL. My last trip was like visiting a new world, as the completion of the 15 year Ohio River Bridge

The two courageous women walked through freezing rivers and climbed up small cliffs for forty
days, with hardly nothing to eat since everything was barren because of the winter, overall the two
women walked 1,000 miles. Finally Mary was able to find her husband, but after thirteen years she
was able to ransom for only one of her sons back and her sister–in–law, the other two children were
kept by the Shawnee.
Follow the River had a lot of dialogue leaving the reader with the feeling that they were battling the
Virginia wilderness right along with Mary Ingles. James Alexander Thom used vivid description on
everything that he wrote, he painted the picture for the reader with a myriad of words, and he left no
leaf undescribed in the Virginia wilderness. The only thing that seemed confusing about this book is
that the reader can never figure out where Mary Ingles is , it would help a lot if a map was placed
somewhere in the book showing the trail of Mary and her companion.
James Alexander Thom did seem a little bias in his book. He would call The Shawnee Indians
heathens, he always just looked at the English point of view and never the Indians point of view,
because at this time the reader should be informed that the Indians are being forced to be moved
from place to place by the white man, but I don't believe that the authors intent was to give the
Shawnee Indians a bad name he just wanted to get the point across that some young pioneer

In the book "Like a River," there are many major characters that develop throughout the story. One
of the main major characters is a small sixteen year old kid from Ohio whose name is Leander. The
book is based off his life as a soldier in the Civil War, and explores what it was like to be wounded

A Reflection Of Observation In The Classroom Behavior
In my twenty hours of observation I have learned quite a bit about how a teacher does an ever
challenging job, which includes monitoring students' behavior, making sure each and every student
is involved in an active learning environment, and creating a safe, yet creative classroom
environment. The teacher I observed was amazing at her job, and by watching as she interacted with
the students, I could see the impact that a teacher truly has on a student. I have even learned that
classroom organization can change how a student learns, and during my observation the teacher
shared with me that by organizing her classroom in a central facing manner, she was able to draw
attention to herself as she stood at the focal point in the classroom. This allowed the teacher to draw
the students' attention to her and away from any distractions that may have arisen in the classroom. I
had also noticed how organized other material was in the classroom from course related books to the
classroom rules and behavior guidelines. The students seemed to follow the rules better in this
classroom with clearly labelled and organized behavior guidelines and rules unlike other classrooms
that I have observed in the past. One of the first things that I noticed when I began my observation
was that of the classroom atmosphere that the teacher had created for the students. The teacher
taught social studies and had setup her classroom with a multitude of social studies related material.
There was a large world history board that included a detailed map of the world and two handmade
house shields from the Middle Ages. There was also pictures of United States Presidents including
President Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. My most favorite aspect of the classroom were
the inspirational quotes that were put up around the ceiling of the room, which included the
Gettysburg Address and the famous "We Can Do It!" poster from World War II. The students even
noted that they enjoyed an "American Dream" board, which had maps from the students' current
lesson in the book as well pictures of the main figures that were discussed in class. The lesson that

Detroit Zoo because of the location, many different exhibits, and Zoombezi Bay. Although each are
well–known Zoos, Columbus is visited by five times as many people each year, year–round.
Similarities are both Detroit and Columbus Zoos have a lot of the same animals, a famous train ride,
4–D theaters, and also different places to eat with dining plans. Both zoos are open year round, and
have current discount rates for winter though Columbus Zoo is $3 cheaper. Columbus Zoo also has a
22–acre water park known as Zoombezi Bay. This water park is its own section that's attached to the
zoo. This water park has slides and pools for small children, as well as adult thrill–seekers. There
are 2 wave pools, a lazy river, 17 water slides, an adult only river where you can drink alcoholic
beverages and relax, and several other different water rides. After you walk around the zoo on a hot
day, you're ready to run into the nearest pool. I'm not big on heights, or thrill but still love to have
fun and there were several slides, raft rides, and things to do that I had a great time. As well as my
wife and 2 boys. My favorite water slide is a two–person raft, where you're riding in a tunnel and
you come out into a bowl that takes you around an around. This was the one ride that I didn't mind

Environmental Assessment North Central Ohio Rehabilitation Center initially was an addition for
the JDC next door. However, the State of Ohio started the RECLAIM act as a response to juvenile
court and Department of Youth correctional overcrowding (Ohio Department of Youth Services).
RECLAIM stands for reasonable and equitable community and local alternatives to the incarceration
of minors. This act was implemented in January of 1995 and there are currently only 12 community
facilities in the state of Ohio. NCORC opened its door as a community facility because of this act in
1996 (Wrentmore, 2015). Initially, NCORC housed boys and girls in the facility. However, later on
it was decided boys would be much easier to house. The mission statement at NCORC is to make a
positive and instrumental difference in the lives of youth by providing rehabilitative treatment to
meet their individual and collective needs to become productive law abiding citizens (North Central

It's almost as if you are swimming in beer. My favorite thing about the lake is that the lake floor is
pure sand. I hate going into a lake and having bottom be all mucky. The sand floor of Big Sandy
feels wonderful on the feet, and this is where the name Big Sandy came from. The lake also has
beautiful shorelines. Most often the shores lead into sloping hills full of trees, but there are a few
areas with natural sand beaches that stretch for hundreds of yards. Wildlife is always in abundance
at Big Sandy. Everything from bears, deer (which I have actually seen swimming in the lake on a
couple of occasions, to huge eagles, hawks, and turkey vultures. Fishing is also excellent for most
kinds of fish in Minnesota, and there are some big uns in there as well (just last summer I saw a
huge Northern Pike sticking its head out of the water).
Big Sandy has some history to it as well. There is an Island called Battle Island, and this is where
the Chippewa drove the Sioux out of the area for good in one big battle in the year 1777. An
interesting thing about this is that experts say that a part of the lake leading to the island wasn't
underwater back then.
Things are quite different now around Big Sandy than they were back then. The area around the lake

The registration and bond were irregularly enforced. Many blacks got away with not registering,
however, a rapid increase of blacks caused an enforcement of the regulation. This enforcement,
