Controversy Over Hand Writing
In a world of evolution, it is often found difficult to accept a new trade or skill that partially
substitutes a skill so commonly used and accepted today. As generations pass, people discover new
things that revival the beliefs of the past and handwriting is not exempt from this course of
evolution. People have hit that critical point of rivalry between handwriting and its challenger
typing. Handwriting is a skill known by people for centuries and even prior to handwriting people
painted or carved to record information. In today's world, typing keeps becoming more of a key
player and triumphs over hand writing in many aspects. It is imperative to understand the
importance of typing, as much of what college students and employees do ... Show more content on

Typing allows people to type at speeds unrivaled by handwriting. This speed can save people a lot
of time especially when it comes to larger manuscripts, such as papers, reports, or essays. This new–
found speed allowed an influx of books, stories, and narratives by allowing the writer to not only
record as fast as the speed of thought, but to also focus more on the content of the work rather than
the legibility. Handwriting has better recall however typing is merely a different form of recording
and as such must be treated differently when studying. Overall typing is merely another form of
recording that breaks the speed constraints of the past, but as technology advances typing is merely
a stepping stone on a much, much larger

Examples Of Gender Typing In Early Childhood
A. The concept of gender typing in early childhood is an affiliation to activities, objects, or personal
traits that would define a person's sex. This mental connection may be suggested by the parents or
the environment the child grows up in that allows the child to conform to the social norms or
cultural stereotypes of that environment.
Although, gender typing might be considered an external factor, gender schema theory suggests that
children are pre–programmed to construct or establish beliefs about the sexes. The child will
formulate gender–stereotyped preferences and demeanors from others. One example could be
picture day at school and the child formulates that girls wear dresses and boys wear slacks by
observing those around them. Another example can be when children are on the playground where
girls are more likely to be seen playing house and boys playing war. Since gender schema theory is
an information processing approach, it further explains that environmental strains and a child's
cognitions work together to pattern gender–role evolution. B. Children's social environment to
include the child's cognitive limitation contributes to rigid gender stereotyping in early childhood by
allowing the child to see or imitate what is socially acceptable. This is further propagated by gender
segregation, gender stereotyped activities/professions, and gender typing by society in the media.
Gender segregation, which could be construed to be an early creation of a sub–culture,

Sex Typing Child Development
Age specific variations of growth and development At this age children begin sex typing and
understanding their own sex. " Sex typing, or the process by which an individual develops the
behavior, personality, attitudes, and beliefs appropriate for his or her culture and sex" (Hockenberry
& Wilson, 2015, p. 527). At this time they begin to identify with other people of their similar sex
from observation psychological factors. (Hockenberry & Wilson, 2015, p. 527) During this age it is
important to develop a positive self–image. The positive development comes from loving parents,
positive relationships with peers and others, and ability to play successfully. (Murray et al, 2009, p.
369) They are also starting to develop boundaries. At age

Development Of Optical Imaging Tools For Synapse Typing Essay
Development of Optical Imaging Tools for Synapse Typing
Restructure of synapse types and alternations of dynamics of neurotransmitters and
neuromodulators have been implicated in a number of human neurological and psychiatric diseases,
including autism, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and addiction1,2.
However, little is known about how molecular compositions define different types and functions of
synapses and how different synapses organize in micro– and macroscale to give rise to complex
brain functions and disorders, due to lack of appropriate tools to characterize synaptic biomolecules
in situ in large scale. Here, I propose a novel research program to develop transformative tools for
large–scale mapping of synaptic biomolecules, functional imaging of neurotransmission and
neuronal signaling. Specifically, it will evolve along three main themes: 1. Expansion pathology for
highly multiplexed, in situ and nanoscale biomolecular imaging. 2. Optogenetic neurotransmitter
indicator; 3. in situ imaging tools for endogenous protein–protein interaction; This program will
expand on the themes of my previous work on engineering optogenetic indicators for neuronal
activities, such as calcium ions3,4 and voltage5,6 indicators, as well as my current work on devising
a clinically optimized form of expansion microscopy7,8, which contribute new capabilities to the
broader communities of neuroscience, cell biology, pathology and medicine.

The Effects Of Gender Typing On The Toy Industry
Introduction
Everyone can remember their favorite toys as a child. From Cabbage Patch Kids to Hot Wheels to
Legos, one can reminisce fondly about sitting on the floor and playing with one of these. However,
depending on sex, a specific child may have found themselves playing with specific toys. For girls,
things like baby dolls, Barbies, or dress–up kits are quite popular. Boys can be found playing with
action figures and Nerf guns. This is where a problem is to be seen. Toys for children have actually
had a quite short history of being gender–typed. Yes, it wasn't alway like this. In fact, most
children's toys were marketed to both sexes and only recently has gender–typing toys become a fad.
To see why this is a problem, one should explore the history of gender–typing in the toy industry,
understand why it is a negative thing for today's youth, and try to synthesize a possible solution to
this problem in society.
Historical Research
One specific industry within the market of toys that we can view to help understand some of the
different ways that the toys in today's society have come to this gender–typing is through the video
game industry. In fact, the evolution of gender–typing in this industry is a good way to illustrate
how it happened with the rest of the toy market. Many consider the video game industry a very
male–driven industry, but in fact, the earliest video games were marketed more towards the family
and were never made to appeal to one gender or the other.

Admire Person
The person I want to describe is my mother. She's 55 years old, medium–built, and she's about 166
centimetres in height. She has an attractive face and looks younger than her age. She has round face,
big eyes, and beautiful eyelashes. She likes wearing casual clothes unless she's at work when she
normally wears lady's formal wear. My mother works as an accountant in a trade company. She
studied accounting at Fudan University and she has always been working as an account since
graduation. She's warm–hearted, open–minded, and always willing to help other people who are in
need of help. Although she's not a young lady anymore, she's very willing and ready to accept new
things. She likes singing, dancing, watching movies, reading, planting ... Show more content on

I still have his early work on my walls, and I am still in love with it and being inspired by it. Also,
Santjes Oomen was an artist whose work –– while I never acquired any –– lingers in my mind, and I
recognize how it has influenced me.
And, finally, I have to say the work of Philip Seymour Hoffman has inspired me tremendously. He
is more than an actor; he is an artist, and if you pay attention to the subtleties of his work, his
delving into the psychology of the characters he plays –– it's really amazing. There is something
about his work that moved me to get up off of the couch and start making stuff again.
The park I want to describe is Yan'an Park. It's very close to my home, just behind the Sheraton
Hotel. One can either enter the park through the main gate on Yan'an Road, or from the east gate on
Yili Road. The park is really beautiful. It's got quite a few different areas and it is very peaceful.
There are pathways all around the park and a lot of grass and trees. There are two ponds in the park
– a small one where you can go fishing in the summer time, and a very large pond where you can go
skating in the winter time. Near the large pond is a picnic area where you can sit down and relax. It's
nice and shady because there are many tall trees nearby. There's also a play area for small children
with games and rides, a restaurant and a snack bar, and an indoor swimming pool. I first found the

Step1: Identify the Problem
After a lot of introspective thought, my three biggest obstacles are my typing skills, time
management, and my ability to read and spell. To begin with, my typing skills are limited to hunt
and peck. While I have purchased software to help me learn, it will not happen overnight. My
limited typing skills make the timed portions of my classes nearly, if not completely, impossible. For
my career, this will handicap my ability to perform in any employment situation. Secondly, time
management is a key part in education and career goals. Learning to balance a full time job, school,
and a family with two small children is difficult. If I do not learn this art I will became very
overwhelmed and one of the realms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Advantages and Disadvantages of Keyboards Versus Pencils...
Technology is slowly taking over the world. It affects many things, one of them being handwriting.
Typing has some advantages over handwriting, but typing also has some disadvantages. Cursive is
outdated, and typing is more efficient than handwriting in general. However, handwriting has some
benefits over typing. Cursive was a lot more prominent in the past then it is today. According to
Remington Korper, cursive was taught before printing. This made it the main form of writing for
students. Some people that had excellent cursive could take it as a job. The first type of cursive was
Spencerian. This was a very time consuming, tiring writing. The next type was Palmer's Method.
This was faster and easier than Spencerian writing. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This makes note taking easier"(Pros and Cons). With faster note taking and the ability to do
assignments faster, a lot of time in class could be saved which allows for more information to be
taught. "When notes and assignments are saved to a computer, there's less likelihood of them getting
lost, especially if important files are routinely backed up"(Pros and Cons). Notes and assignments
are harder to lose if typed and saved on a computer compared to writing on a piece of paper. This
makes sure you are able to study, possibly leading to higher grades. Even though typing has many
advantages over cursive, typing also has some disadvantages. For one, laptops or computers can
cost upwards of $300. This is very expensive compared to paper and pencils, which only cost a
couple dollars. Laptops and computers are also very easily broken. "The act of handwriting helps
students (and adults) retain information more effectively than when keyboarding"(Handwriting
Debate) Handwriting helps with memorizing things. Without it, students would have a harder time
memorizing info which could result in lower test scores. "Digital devices may be great learning
tools, but they also offer a number of distractions to students"(Pros and Cons). Laptops and
computers are distractions in school. This could also result in lower grades. So is handwriting going
to die out?

Who Am I Typing Research Paper
Why am I writing this essay? Why have I chosen this topic to write about? How is my brain piecing
together the words that I am typing? These types of questions, questions about the why's and how's
of my very own behavior, are the types of questions that I ask myself everyday. A teacher of mine,
Ms. Beller, told me once that each and every day we as humans make up to 30,000 decisions a day.
The decisions we make decide how our day will play out. Deciding to walk a different way to class
one day could cause you to run into an old friend you haven't seen in awhile or bump into a past
teacher. These encounters could set off an entirely different chain of events and a different path your
day may take. I was fascinated by this knowledge, and wanted

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Hand Writing

The Advantages of Hand Writing Versus Typing for Learning In a world driven by technology, it is
easy to throw away learning methods of the past in favor of following up and coming trends.
However, when it comes to writing by hand versus typing, the advantages to learning of writing by
hand far outweigh the ease of use of typing. Through academic research of college note–takers and
primary students as well as research on how the neuroscience behind hand writing works, it is
proven that hand writing is superior to typing for learning. In a college setting, it is common to see
students with a laptop computer taking notes during a lecture. On the surface, it is easy to see why
students would prefer to use a keyboard for typing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Bui in Aragon–Mendizabal 2016) This is because cognitive processing is shallower when using a
keyboard. (Mueller and Oppenheimer 2014) Most typists tend to take notes verbatim, (Kiewra in
Holz 2016) leading to very superficial levels of actual understanding. (Aragon– Mendizabal 2016)
On the contrary, higher order thinking such as attention and memory are required when people take
hand written notes. (Aragon– Mendizabal 2016) When taking notes longhand, writers must
summarize, paraphrase, and relate concepts to one another in order to record the information in a
timely enough manner. (University Wire 2016) Also, proofreading abilities are reduced on typed
work, possibly due to the over usage of tools such as grammar and spelling check. (Lessien 2013)
Success for students who hand write is documented not only for college students, but for young
learners as well. Children as young as 4 years old show the benefits of hand writing before they are
even able to read or write actual words. Advantages to writing by hand include better letter
memorization and better memorization of shapes in 4–year–old children. (Longcamp in Sulzenbruck
2011) There is a greater association with reading and memorization related with hand writing as
opposed to typing. (Longcamp in Wollscheild 2016) Also, hand writing leads to better development
in both reading and math and provides a foundation for further academic achievement.

student, I take this position as my number one job in my life right now. I don't believe I have to

Typing Template for APA Papers Apple Computer Company is currently being thrown into a lawsuit
in regards to specific information on a customer's cell phone. The cell phone is known to have been
used by the San Bernardino shooter last year. The information on that phone could be very
beneficial to solving the case. However, privacy advocates argue Apple's interference could be
detrimental to basic human rights. Apple themselves argue writing a "master key" could cause
problems with their cyber security. Not to mention the financial jeopardy it could put Apple in. The
FBI counters the "master key" argument with the plea that they will only use it for one device. It's
not the use of the key Apple is worried about, it's about the availability of it. If Apple releases
information regarding the San Bernardino shooting, then it should cause a lot more problems than it
could solve. According to Appleinsider.com, the privacy advocates at Apple argue that if the
government is granted the right to access the information on that phone, it could be in violation of a
couple privacy laws. For instance The Privacy Act of 1974. "The Privacy Act of 1974 provides
safeguards against invasion of personal privacy through the misuse of records by Federal Agencies"
(U.S. State Department, 2016). When this law was written, the definition of "records" obviously

Influences Of Gender Typing And Stereotypes
Influences of gender typing and stereotypes are continually bombarding us wherever we are. Both
types of gender processes are shown everywhere in the media which includes commercials,
billboards, music, television shows, movies, and books. Advertisements for gender specific toys
give children gender typing where they think a certain toy is cool if an older boy or girl is playing
with the toy and that makes the toy more desirable. An example of this would be if a commercial
shows a teenage boy playing with Nerf guns with his friends or teenage girls playing with Barbies.
I went to Walmart to search for toys targeted towards gender typing and what I found was not too
surprising. Immediately, I found the girl's section and I was surrounded by the color pink wherever I
looked. There were many baby dolls in the aisles and this reminded me of the evolutionary
perspective where women evolved to nurture and care for infants. Young girls are drawn towards
babies perhaps from witnessing their mothers nurture and care for infants and children. Not
surprisingly, there were tons of Barbies on the shelves that ranged from princesses, dance instructor
Barbies, cooking Barbies, fashionista Barbie's, mermaid Barbies, and even a superhero Barbie. The
cooking Barbie reaffirmed how marketers are trying to target gender roles on young girls by

consequences of incompatibility, blood typing, and to illustrate antigen–antibody complexes and

"flags" to identify the cells. The glycoproteins are coded for by the blood type genes A, B, and O.
Unlike Complete Dominance where one gene totally masks another (i.E. vs. t), the blood type genes,
A and B, are Co–dominant or equally dominant. Therefore, an individual with the genotype AB will

Lessons Of Typing Instruction Reinforcement During...
When I approached one of the third–grade teachers in reference to evidence in her lessons of typing
instruction reinforcement during students' writing period, she immediately answered, "keyboard
instruction is the technology teachers responsibility and she don 't have the time." This reply has
become increasingly common among educators, however, classroom teachers need to know that all
educators must contribute to the collective goals towards the achievement of students developing
technology competencies in typing in complying with The Common Core State Standards W.CCR.6
technology competencies, which states that students must acquire "use technology, including the
internet, to produce and publish writing and to interact and collaborate with others."
As stated in the Common Core State Standards, third graders are expected to demonstrate coding
competencies, "with some guidance and support from adults, students must use technology to
produce and publish writing as well as to interact and collaborate with others." A four resources
analysis of technology research points out that "the definitions of technology in the Common Core
State Standards implicitly demands that students develop coding competencies, however, there is
the lack of instruction for educators on how coding dependencies should be taught in a CCSS–

Handwriting v Typing
The process of reading and writing involves a number of senses, she explains. When writing by
hand, our brain receives feedback from our motor actions, together with the sensation of touching a

touching and typing on a keyboard.

Together with neurophysiologist Jean–Luc Velay at the University of Marseille, Anne Mangen has

A lack of focus
There is a lot of research on haptics in relation to computer games, in which for instance vibrating
hand controls are employed. According to Mangen, virtual drills with sound and vibration are used
for training dentists.
But there has been very little effort to include haptics within the humanistic disciplines, she
explains. In educational science, there is scant interest in the ergonomics of reading and writing, and
its potential significance in the learning process.
Mangen refers to an experiment involving two groups of adults, in which the participants were
assigned the task of having to learn to write in an unknown alphabet, consisting of approximately
twenty letters. One group was taught to write by hand, while the other was using a keyboard. Three
and six weeks into the experiment, the participants ' recollection of these letters, as well as their
rapidity in distinguishing right and reversed letters, were tested. Those who had learned the letters
by handwriting came out best in all tests. Furthermore, fMRI brain scans indicated an activation of
the Broca 's area within this group. Among those who had learned by typing on keyboards, there
was little or no activation of this area.
"The sensorimotor component forms an integral part of training for beginners, and in special
education for people with learning difficulties. But there is little awareness and understanding of the

Evaluation Of A Preschool Classroom During Play Time
In an a preschool classroom during play time, you may see boys playing with cars and dressing up
as firefighters and police officers while the girls are playing make believe in the kitchen and folding
laundry. The difference in how children may play and/or interact is clear to see. At a very young
age, children already have started to associate different toys, clothing, jobs, behaviors, and/or colors
with gender. What accounts for accounts for this in children? Reading about gender typing in the
book made me become more interested in what factors contribute to developing gender typing in
children. The book, in my opinion, gives a very vague description of what really develops gender
typing in children. My belief is that gender typing is a very complex concept and there are many
factors that go into the different aspects of gender typing in children.
In a multidimensional study in gender typing in preschoolers and parents, Patricia Turner and Judit
Gervai assessed the attitudes, personality, preferences, and cultural differences of the selected
participants. Within the study, 82 four year old girls and 79 four year old boys along with their
parents participated. Approximately half of the participants came from preschools in Cambridge,

How Do Antibodies Affect Blood Typing
Blood typing is a vital part of saving lives. People who have lost blood in any way will most likely
need a blood transfusion. If the wrong type of blood is administered into their system, that person's
body will reject the new blood and the person will die. However, by knowing what antigens and
antibodies are in a certain type of blood, the transfusion can be matched to the patient's blood, which
will lead to a safe, effective transfusion. Therefore, knowing what antigens and antibodies are in a
person's blood and what their blood type is can be a vital part of saving their life one day. For this
reason, it is vital to know how antibodies affect blood typing.

formed in it when the antisera–A and antisera–Rh were stirred in, so that showed a reaction.
Because it reacted with only these two types of antiserum, that combination shows that the blood is
AB Positive because of the combination of antibodies in the blood. AB Positive blood has both A
and B antigens on the red blood cells, but neither A or B antibodies on the plasma. For the second
sample, I stirred in all three serums and the blood reacted with Anti–B and Anti–Rh. Because it
reacted with these two serums, it shows that the blood has the combination of antibodies that make
it type B Positive. This means that there are B antigens on the red blood cells, but A and B
antibodies are in the plasma. For the third sample, I stirred in all three types of serum, and it did not
react with any of the serums. All three serums resulted in clear, red blood that was not cloudy with
no particles formed. When this happens, it shows that the blood is O Negative because it did not
react with any of the antibody–stimulating serums. This means that there are neither A or B antigens
in the red blood cells, but both A or B antibodies in the plasma. For the fourth sample, I stirred all
the serums in to the sample. It became cloudy when the Anti–A serum was stirred in, but the other

In the public eye today, the expression "Capital punishment" mixes up a great deal of discussion and
feelings. At whatever point the word comes up, in–your–face extremist from both sides hollers out
contentions to bolster their position. One side says "eye for an eye", the other side says there 's a
capability of executing a pure man; one says equity, reprisal, and discipline; the other side says
execution is homicide. Wrongdoing is a clear a portion of society, and everybody knows that

More often than not, capital punishment is said to be an infringement of the Eighth Amendment.
This says the U.S. can 't utilize "savage and surprising" discipline. Because of the way that
"discipline" is a legitimate punishment of misery, it must be to some degree "pitiless." As for being
abnormal, it is definitely not, because of the long history of its use. Some individuals will
dependably exploit others, and carry out wrongdoings the length of it is to their greatest advantage
to do as such. The motivation behind our whole criminal equity framework is to secure the
privileges of life, freedom, and property for every one of its subjects. To do this, the discipline for
the wrongdoing must be sufficiently brutal to discourage potential hoodlums. Under this outlook,
capital punishment bodes well. Here is a discipline that really makes a criminal pay for his
wrongdoing, prevents the criminal from carrying out it once more, and deflects different offenders
from perpetrating the same wrongdoing.
The discipline for homicide is getting the opportunity to be shorter and shorter. A judge could
sentence a man to life in jail. That same man could be out of prison with 15 years. How has life in
prison ended up known as ten to fifteen years? On the off chance that the judge says existence with
no parole, then the criminal could stay in prison somewhat more, yet

Early Parkinson 's Disease ( Pd ) Through The...
1 Introduction 1.1 The research question This literature review has been undertaken as part of
research into detecting early Parkinson's Disease (PD) through the characteristics of finger
movement during typing. It begins with a discussion of PD and its symptoms, and then provides an
overview of the current and emerging diagnostic strategies for early detection of the disease, with
particular emphasis on those involving human–computer interaction (HCI) and the relationship with
keystroke biometrics. The scope of the review is to focus on the motor symptoms of PD, rather than
the causes, pathogenesis or research into potential prevention or cure. It builds on a previous PD
literature review by the author (Adams, 2015). 1.2 Overview of Parkinson's Disease The most
common neurodegenerative movement disorder today is Parkinson Disease (Barth et al., 2011), with
a prevalence which increases with age – from just 0.01% of the population aged 40 – 44 years and
increasing to 1% at age 65, then up to 22% by age 85 and over. The total number of people with PD
is expected to continue grow in the coming decades because of the aging society and a range of
environmental factors. PD is a progressive neurodegenerative movement disorder of unknown
etiology that has no cure. The distinctive neurochemical characteristic of PD is dopamine loss in the
nigrostriatal dopamine system (Adler, 2011). In the substantia nigra (SN) of people with PD there is
a loss of neuronal cells, demonstrated by

The Sholes And Glidden Typewriter And The Second...
The Gilded Age, or commonly known as the Second Industrial Revolution, lived up to its
extravagant name that Mark Twain had given to the era. Inventions such as the telephone escalated
communication among people despite the distance, and the creation of the automobile helped
everyone to move from one place to another in a much shorter time. Besides these well–known and
influential inventions, the Sholes and Glidden typewriter also contributed to the economic,
industrial, and societal growth of the American citizens in a subtle yet impactful way. Despite its old
age, the typewriter still has a grand, yet not very obvious, influence on a popular, modern day
invention.
Prior to the creation of this typewriter, there were mainly two methods to ... Show more content on

The Sholes and Glidden typewriter had numerous abilities solved many problems that contributed to
the growth of the industry. Based on the article "Sholes & Glidden 'Type Writer' A Historic
Mechanical Engineering Landmark" by American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME),
Christopher Sholes and Carlos Glidden, with some help from a clock–builder Matthias Schwalbach,
James Densmore who provided financing with the development, a fellow inventor Samuel Soulé,
and many others, had created the sophisticated machine. After numerous refinements over seven
years, the Sholes and Glidden typewriter adopted "a non–alphabetical arrangement for the keys,
resulting in the QWERTY layout." By spreading out the most commonly used letters such as the
vowels, the typists could type much faster than before. On a poster provided by the article "Type–
Writer: two words, hyphenated" by Mark Adams, the advertisement poster claimed that the Sholes
and Glidden typewriter could type up to sixty to one hundred words per minute, which was five
times much faster than an expert penmen. Not only did the typewriter increased typewriting speed,
the QWERTY key arrangement also solved the jamming problem that previous typewriter caused.
According to the article "The Sholes & Glidden Type Writer, with the First QWERTY Keyboard" by
Jeremy Norman, the typists in that time period used a technique called "hunt and peck," a technique
where typists would

The Typists Character Analysis
The play "The Typists" is a play about a time in WW2 how these women's who write letters to
families whose sons have passed away when serving in the military and do not realize how things
could be hard for them to know what would it be like if they were in their shoes and dreams. This
was also the first theatrical play I have attended and to my surprise it was a great experience, so it
also gave me an affective memory to what I was dealing with in my life. Though the production was
excellent there were things that I enjoyed, and only some that I disliked as well. Hopefully this will
help clarify my likings and disliking of the production The Typists. Starting with my dislike of the
production, it came to my attention that some parts of the play where Sofi, the new girl who was
always getting blamed whenever her boss did not like how she would type her letters in Spanish. In
my opinion, the boss should not have gotten after for that reason since there are some families who
do not always read everything in English. She initially thought if they have a Spanish last name she
was being consider it on typing theirs in Spanish rather them suffer in trying to find out what was
said in English. Another thing that I didn't find interesting was when the all the girls in the office
had a night out talking about their guys who were serving when they had a job to fulfill instead of
Sofi. I had saw how much Sofi was working hard on her letters trying to impress her

Memo
To: Ms. Boyce, Chief Executive Officer
From: Student, Personnel Management Consultant
Subject: Karen Carlin Case Study: Issue Analysis and Proposed Solutions
Date: 21 October 2010
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this memo is to analyze and propose solutions for the issues Karen Carlin faces as
she takes on the supervisor role for the schedule typist department of Hepplewhite & Boyce. The
three issues to be analyzed are (1) lack of productivity, (2) insubordination and abuse of company
resources, and (3) staff mismanagement. First, the problems will be defined and probable causes
discussed. Then, recommendations will be made to resolve these issues.

She has also been known to report to work, only to leave the office for hours at a time doing
personal errands. Pat is influencing the others to take long lunches and be late for work as well. This
blatant abuse can be attributed to the following possible causes:
1. The employees are not challenged.
2. The employees resent management for not listening to their ideas regarding process improvement.
Clearly, the insubordination and abuse of company resources cannot be allowed to continue. Staff
Mismanagement
And finally, there is the issue of staff mismanagement. The supervisor, Keith Frazier, is only
checking in with this department one to two times per week. Mr. Frazier is aware that Pat is making
international phone calls. He is also aware that Pauline found a way for Pat to make these calls from
the building's elevator once he had the phone system modified to only allow internal calls. Mr.
Frazier has also been fielding complaints from the accountants about not receiving their tax
schedules in a timely fashion. However, he has failed to confront either of these issues. This lack of
management can be attributed to the following:
1. Mr. Frazier does not respect the type of work done by this department.
2. Mr. Frazier fears confrontation.
Something must be done to allow for better management of the staff.
RECOMMENDED SOLUTIONS
Recommendations to solve the issues in the three areas

Forever Typing: Use of Fatherhood in “The Kite Runner”
"The Kite Runner" by Kahleed Hosseini has been deemed a 'big hit' by Craig Wilson, journalist for
USA Today, selling more than 1.4 million copies, and requiring 17 printings at the time the article
was printed, April, 2005. Some have called it a "certifiable phenomena for a first–time author in
today's anemic book market" (Singh), others still have said "is about the price of peace, both
personal and political" (Hill). Hosseini has already made himself a success with The Kite Runner.
Hosseini, in his novel The Kite Runner, illustrates that by being a father, one opens himself to a guilt
that can destroy. In "The Kite Runner" there are many fathers we introduced to : Baba, Rahim Kahn,
Ali, and eventually, the narrator, Amir. However, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Rahim Kahn tells Amir "There is a way to be good again", he is not only referring to Amir's
sins, but his own as well (Hosseini 2). There is a way for us to redeem our sins. This is especially
important to Rahim Kahn, who is also dying of a disease that is not named. This disease parallels
Baba's cancer in that is also symbolic of the guilt that Rahim Kahn has amassed over the years by
being a father to both Hassan and Amir. The last father I will speak of is Amir. Amir is main
narrative voice for most of the novel and thus serves as out storyteller. As we read "The Kite
Runner", it is in his narrative voice that we watch him grow from child to adolescent to adult to a
father. The significance of this is that we don't have that luxury for any of the other characters.
There is a definitive change in tone from when Sohrab is going to live with Betty Caldwell and
when Amir decided to take him to America. The tone becomes darker, more driven, as Amir had
made a choice to take in his half–nephew. But this new tone also opens Amir up to the feelings of
guilt and self–blame that occurs when Sohrab attempts suicide. Perhaps it was this tone that Baba
and Rahim Kahn held inside their own personal monologues for so long. Another reason was Amir's
narrative voice is so significant is that Amir decides when

The Importance Of Academic Issues In Education
James is having issues at home with writing. His mother, Mrs. Smith, stated we sit at the table and
he just struggles which leads to battles. Mrs. Smith has tried everything she knows to do to assist her
son with his assignments. So now, she is asking for help from teachers and other school staff. She
stated his test scores show that he is fine and his teachers say he is okay, too. But, they don't see how
much he struggles. Her main concern is his ability to write which includes forming sentences,
spelling and punctuation. Due to James' issues with spelling and punctuation, we will focus our
attention these areas. In addition, these are two concepts are easy to define, quickly identified, easily
monitored and are quantifiable. This makes these valuable objectives for interventions. Since this is
an academic issue in a general education classroom, assistance and monitoring will need to be
accomplished by the teacher. The baseline information for these academic issues were provided by
Mrs. Smith and the results of the standardized tests. James has consistently struggled with both
spelling and punctuation since first grade. These are concerns his mother has had for many years. In
addition, the first assignments created by James' using the computer will used for baseline
information for this accommodation. This student has been having problems with writing and in
particular spelling and punctuation since first grade. James will start to work on an

Blood Typing Lab Report
Stimulated ABO and Rh Blood Typing
Abigail Taylor
Anatomy and Physiology Lab 11
Dr. Bah. Boubacar
4/14/2016
Abstract
The purpose of this experiment is to identify the different blood types through the antigen and
antibody reaction by using the anti– A, Anti– B and Anti– Rh serums we will be able to identify the
different blood types. We will also discuss how this can be used in the clinical setting of this blood
typing procedure, by doing so we will know how antigens and antibodies relate to the blood typing
procedure in the real world settings.
Introduction
For this experiment student will identify the individual blood types through the antigen and antibody
reaction by using the anti– A, Anti– B and Anti– Rh serums we will be able to identify the different
types of blood. Red blood cells also known as erythrocyte are small cells shaped like an oval
however they have a plasma membrane but no nucleus. Hemoglobin is the protein that allows the
red blood cells to bind easily with oxygen. While hematopoiesis is known as blood cell formation.
The independent variable would be the Red blood cells. While the dependent variable would be the
Antibodies and the antigens
Hypothesis – With the antigen and antibody reaction we can determine ABO and Rh blood types by
using certain antiserums. If an AAntigen ever comes in contact with an Anti a antibody then the
blood will have a reaction. Also if a B Antigen comes in contact with a B anti body then the blood

Blood Typing And The Blood Of The Donor Blood
INTRODUCTION:
Blood typing is one of the tests that will determine a person's blood type. Although, all blood is
made of the same basic elements but they are not same by their blood typing. In fact, there are eight
different common blood types. Based on certain substances of antigen presence or absence and Rh
factors we will able to identify the person blood types. Those substances can trigger an immune
response if they are foreign to the body. Blood typing is important when you need a blood
transfusion or planning to have an organ transplant. As we know not all blood types are compatible
due to their antigen and antibodies they have. Since some antigens can react with person immune
system to attack the donor blood, It is very important to know the person's blood typing and cross–
matching to ensure that your body doesn't make antibodies to attack the donor blood or organ.
Blood typing is especially important to pregnant mothers when the mother is Rh– and the father has
Rh+ and a child born with Rh positive. So, it is important to be an early cautious in order to avoid
reactive consequences. In the medical sector small mistake can take patient life. In this lab
experiment though using the anti A serum, anti B serum, and anti Rh serum, we were able to
identify the blood types of each sample that we had.
MATERIAL AND METHODS:
In order to prepare for this experiment, our professor had given us four different samples of
unknown synthetic blood type. We also had 3 different

Organ Systems Involved With Performing Or Assisting With...
There are several organ systems involved with performing or assisting with the action of typing. The
integumentary system acts as a barrier to protect the fingers from harm or pathogenic agents from
the keyboard. Thick skin, such as the skin of palms, has five skin layers including the stratum
basale, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and stratum corneum, in order to
protect the fingers from wear and tear. The integumentary system also provides protection with
chemical barriers such as the acid mantle, which retards bacterial growth; human defensin, which
kills bacteria; and cathelicidins, which prevent infections. Biological barriers in the epidermis such
as Langerhans cells, tissue macrophages that act as antigen presenting cells, are also present. The
integumentary system is also responsible for cutaneous sensation by sending signals received from
Merkel cells in the epidermis and Meissner's corpuscles in the dermis to the brain via nerves.
The nervous system is in charge of carrying signals from the fingers to the brain, processing
information, and sending signals back from the brain to the fingers. The nervous system's afferent
nerves carry signals from the peripheral nervous system to the central nervous system, neural
integration is carried out by interneurons, and efferent neurons send signals back from the central
nervous system to the peripheral nervous system. Neurons conduct messages in the form of nerve
impulses. They have dendrites to

Typing Mistakes
I sat there on the computer typing essays so I could finish my soft more year to graduate. I was on
my very last essay when I noticed the time 11:55, I had until 12:10 to finish all my essays and get
them turned in. So what did I do? Kicked it in to over drive. I began typing like a cheetah would
hunt it's prey. I was determined to finish these essays if it took all I had. I glance at the clock again
its 11:59 I think to myself its not enough time. So I begin typing faster ignoring my spelling and
grammar mistakes. The clock strikes midnight and its like I can hear the bells tolling in my ear but
then I realize its just my heartbeat. I try to type as fast as I can for the next ten minutes trying to get
it done but I don't think I"ll make it.

Does Writing Down Notes On Paper More Effective Than...
Does writing down notes on paper more effective than typing it?
Cerebrum: The cerebrum is the main part of the brain, which has two halves, or hemispheres. The
right hemisphere controls the left side of the body and deals with things such as creativity, music,
and art. While the left hemisphere of the cerebrum controls the right side of the body and is in
charge of language, problem solving, and math. The cerebrum's many tasks are carried out by its
outer layer, or its cortex. This has distinct areas that have different roles. Motor areas trigger
movement; sensory areas deal with the senses, while association areas clarify information.
Cerebellum: The cerebellum is responsible for producing smooth, coordinated movements of the
body. It analyzes incoming information about the body's current movement and position then
interacts with the primary motor cortex to precisely time muscle contractions.
Why does writing something down help us remember it better?
Our brain is separated into several regions that undergo different kind of information. Then there are
regions that process information such as visual, verbal communication, auditory, emotions, etc.
These different regions communicate with each other and each one of them has its own processes it
has to complete first. For example one looks at a piece of art and express their emotions with
language, thus working the verbal function part of the brain.

Personality Typing
Personality typing has been shown to have a variety of potential applications within the professional
world, including the field of dietetics. The preferences a person has within their personality type can
largely influence their decision making process. Often, the most dominant preferences will have the
most input, which may hinder individuals from making the best decision for the problem at hand
and can lead to unhealthful habits. This is how personality types may be beneficial when providing
nutritional counseling. By recognizing that each person may approach a situation differently based
on their personality type, dietitians can develop interventions that help clients achieve the most
success. Personality types may also play a role in influencing ... Show more content on

Furthermore, it does not appear that many INTJ types are attracted to this field. Despite this, there
are some skills associated with my personality type that would benefit me in the field of food and
nutrition care. For instance, NT types tend to use abilities in theoretical and technical developing,
including research, forecasts and analysis, and management. This would likely indicate that I would
do well in areas of foodservice where abilities in management and forecasting are needed for
success. In this regard, I would likely have strong leadership skills that are business–oriented.
However, it is possible that my communication skills might not be as proficient as NF and SF types,
which are appear to be more people–oriented. While I might be able to communicate numbers well,
it would probably benefit me to work on communicating with people to enhance my skills in
counseling and teaching. As such, I may find these situations involving education somewhat
challenging. My preference for introversion is likely to have an influence on this as well as
educational dietitians tend to be extraverted. In other areas of dietetics, the research seems to
indicate that I might do well as a clinical dietitian as most were noted to be introverted and judging.
I would also probably do fairly well in administrative dietetics due to my

The Effect of Caffeine on Typing Speed, Accuracy and Heart...
The effect of caffeine on typing speed, accuracy and heart beat
1. Introduction
Caffeine is a substance found in coffee, tea and most sodas. When it is consumed, it is a mild
stimulant. The energy drink, Monster, contains caffeine, which has the ability to manipulate
adenosine (adrenaline), a substance present in the brain that is used to transmit brain signals to
different parts of the body. Adenosine causes an increase in alertness and awareness. Modern studies
show that there is direct benefits of the so–called "caffeine kick" that is experienced by drinkers.
The behaviour of caffeine acts as a stimulant which increase brain memory. Caffeine belongs to the

Caffeine will continue to have an effect on the body as long as it remains in the blood. The time
required for the body to eliminate one–half of the total amount of caffeine consumed (or caffeine's
half–life) varies from several hours to several days, but for the average non–smoking adult it is
about 3–4 hours.
The health effects of caffeine have been extensively studied. The short term side effects of mild
caffeine consumption have been identified as headaches, nausea and anxiety. The long term effects
of moderate caffeine consumption have been identified as a reduced risk of developing Parkinson's
disease, type 2 diabetes, hepatic diseases and cardiovascular disease. The side effects that caffeine
can have on people are both positive and negative.
Positive effects – The high long–term consumption of caffeine is associated with a lower risk of
cardiovascular disease and diabetes. – Low dosages of caffeine increase alertness and decreased
fatigue. – Caffeine is associated with increased attention, concentration, learning and memory.
Negative effects – Caffeine can increase blood pressure. – Caffeine may reduce control of fine
motor movement (e.g. producing shaky hands). – Caffeine can contribute to increased insomnia. –
High dosages of caffeine can cause anxiety. – Caffeine is addictive.

I discovered typing as a different way of "talking". At the age of 6 or 7, I discovered typing in either
kindergarten or first grade. It was in a computer room and we played typing games on the computer
to practice typing. Throughout my education and out of the classroom, I learned how to type very

How Does Caffeine Affect Typing Speed
Introduction
Caffeine is a photoactive stimulant found in plant species. These plant species vary including tea,
coffee and cocoa. The caffeine is absorbed fully into the stomach and small intestine after 30 to 45
minutes, which is the peak of the caffeine. The caffeine is in a person's body for up to 4 hours.
Caffeine has consequences if over dosed. Anxiety, heart palpitations, headaches, insomnia and
nervousness are all physical and mental conditions that can be present if you have caffeinism. This
research gives me an insight into caffeine I would have never known if I did not chose this topic to

Controversy Over Handwriting vs Typing Skills

  • 1. Controversy Over Hand Writing In a world of evolution, it is often found difficult to accept a new trade or skill that partially substitutes a skill so commonly used and accepted today. As generations pass, people discover new things that revival the beliefs of the past and handwriting is not exempt from this course of evolution. People have hit that critical point of rivalry between handwriting and its challenger typing. Handwriting is a skill known by people for centuries and even prior to handwriting people painted or carved to record information. In today's world, typing keeps becoming more of a key player and triumphs over hand writing in many aspects. It is imperative to understand the importance of typing, as much of what college students and employees do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Typing allows people to type at speeds unrivaled by handwriting. This speed can save people a lot of time especially when it comes to larger manuscripts, such as papers, reports, or essays. This new– found speed allowed an influx of books, stories, and narratives by allowing the writer to not only record as fast as the speed of thought, but to also focus more on the content of the work rather than the legibility. Handwriting has better recall however typing is merely a different form of recording and as such must be treated differently when studying. Overall typing is merely another form of recording that breaks the speed constraints of the past, but as technology advances typing is merely a stepping stone on a much, much larger ... • 2. Examples Of Gender Typing In Early Childhood A. The concept of gender typing in early childhood is an affiliation to activities, objects, or personal traits that would define a person's sex. This mental connection may be suggested by the parents or the environment the child grows up in that allows the child to conform to the social norms or cultural stereotypes of that environment. Although, gender typing might be considered an external factor, gender schema theory suggests that children are pre–programmed to construct or establish beliefs about the sexes. The child will formulate gender–stereotyped preferences and demeanors from others. One example could be picture day at school and the child formulates that girls wear dresses and boys wear slacks by observing those around them. Another example can be when children are on the playground where girls are more likely to be seen playing house and boys playing war. Since gender schema theory is an information processing approach, it further explains that environmental strains and a child's cognitions work together to pattern gender–role evolution. B. Children's social environment to include the child's cognitive limitation contributes to rigid gender stereotyping in early childhood by allowing the child to see or imitate what is socially acceptable. This is further propagated by gender segregation, gender stereotyped activities/professions, and gender typing by society in the media. Gender segregation, which could be construed to be an early creation of a sub–culture, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Sex Typing Child Development Age specific variations of growth and development At this age children begin sex typing and understanding their own sex. " Sex typing, or the process by which an individual develops the behavior, personality, attitudes, and beliefs appropriate for his or her culture and sex" (Hockenberry & Wilson, 2015, p. 527). At this time they begin to identify with other people of their similar sex from observation psychological factors. (Hockenberry & Wilson, 2015, p. 527) During this age it is important to develop a positive self–image. The positive development comes from loving parents, positive relationships with peers and others, and ability to play successfully. (Murray et al, 2009, p. 369) They are also starting to develop boundaries. At age ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Development Of Optical Imaging Tools For Synapse Typing Essay Development of Optical Imaging Tools for Synapse Typing Restructure of synapse types and alternations of dynamics of neurotransmitters and neuromodulators have been implicated in a number of human neurological and psychiatric diseases, including autism, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and addiction1,2. However, little is known about how molecular compositions define different types and functions of synapses and how different synapses organize in micro– and macroscale to give rise to complex brain functions and disorders, due to lack of appropriate tools to characterize synaptic biomolecules in situ in large scale. Here, I propose a novel research program to develop transformative tools for large–scale mapping of synaptic biomolecules, functional imaging of neurotransmission and neuronal signaling. Specifically, it will evolve along three main themes: 1. Expansion pathology for highly multiplexed, in situ and nanoscale biomolecular imaging. 2. Optogenetic neurotransmitter indicator; 3. in situ imaging tools for endogenous protein–protein interaction; This program will expand on the themes of my previous work on engineering optogenetic indicators for neuronal activities, such as calcium ions3,4 and voltage5,6 indicators, as well as my current work on devising a clinically optimized form of expansion microscopy7,8, which contribute new capabilities to the broader communities of neuroscience, cell biology, pathology and medicine. • 5. The Effects Of Gender Typing On The Toy Industry Introduction Everyone can remember their favorite toys as a child. From Cabbage Patch Kids to Hot Wheels to Legos, one can reminisce fondly about sitting on the floor and playing with one of these. However, depending on sex, a specific child may have found themselves playing with specific toys. For girls, things like baby dolls, Barbies, or dress–up kits are quite popular. Boys can be found playing with action figures and Nerf guns. This is where a problem is to be seen. Toys for children have actually had a quite short history of being gender–typed. Yes, it wasn't alway like this. In fact, most children's toys were marketed to both sexes and only recently has gender–typing toys become a fad. To see why this is a problem, one should explore the history of gender–typing in the toy industry, understand why it is a negative thing for today's youth, and try to synthesize a possible solution to this problem in society. Historical Research One specific industry within the market of toys that we can view to help understand some of the different ways that the toys in today's society have come to this gender–typing is through the video game industry. In fact, the evolution of gender–typing in this industry is a good way to illustrate how it happened with the rest of the toy market. Many consider the video game industry a very male–driven industry, but in fact, the earliest video games were marketed more towards the family and were never made to appeal to one gender or the other. ... • 9. Advantages and Disadvantages of Keyboards Versus Pencils... Technology is slowly taking over the world. It affects many things, one of them being handwriting. Typing has some advantages over handwriting, but typing also has some disadvantages. Cursive is outdated, and typing is more efficient than handwriting in general. However, handwriting has some benefits over typing. Cursive was a lot more prominent in the past then it is today. According to Remington Korper, cursive was taught before printing. This made it the main form of writing for students. Some people that had excellent cursive could take it as a job. The first type of cursive was Spencerian. This was a very time consuming, tiring writing. The next type was Palmer's Method. This was faster and easier than Spencerian writing. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This makes note taking easier"(Pros and Cons). With faster note taking and the ability to do assignments faster, a lot of time in class could be saved which allows for more information to be taught. "When notes and assignments are saved to a computer, there's less likelihood of them getting lost, especially if important files are routinely backed up"(Pros and Cons). Notes and assignments are harder to lose if typed and saved on a computer compared to writing on a piece of paper. This makes sure you are able to study, possibly leading to higher grades. Even though typing has many advantages over cursive, typing also has some disadvantages. For one, laptops or computers can cost upwards of $300. This is very expensive compared to paper and pencils, which only cost a couple dollars. Laptops and computers are also very easily broken. "The act of handwriting helps students (and adults) retain information more effectively than when keyboarding"(Handwriting Debate) Handwriting helps with memorizing things. Without it, students would have a harder time memorizing info which could result in lower test scores. "Digital devices may be great learning tools, but they also offer a number of distractions to students"(Pros and Cons). Laptops and computers are distractions in school. This could also result in lower grades. So is handwriting going to die out? ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These types of questions, questions about the why's and how's of my very own behavior, are the types of questions that I ask myself everyday. A teacher of mine, Ms. Beller, told me once that each and every day we as humans make up to 30,000 decisions a day. The decisions we make decide how our day will play out. Deciding to walk a different way to class one day could cause you to run into an old friend you haven't seen in awhile or bump into a past teacher. • 11. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Hand Writing 801085185 The Advantages of Hand Writing Versus Typing for Learning In a world driven by technology, it is easy to throw away learning methods of the past in favor of following up and coming trends. However, when it comes to writing by hand versus typing, the advantages to learning of writing by hand far outweigh the ease of use of typing. Through academic research of college note–takers and primary students as well as research on how the neuroscience behind hand writing works, it is proven that hand writing is superior to typing for learning. In a college setting, it is common to see students with a laptop computer taking notes during a lecture. On the surface, it is easy to see why students would prefer to use a keyboard for typing ... (Mueller and Oppenheimer 2014) Most typists tend to take notes verbatim, (Kiewra in Holz 2016) leading to very superficial levels of actual understanding. (Aragon– Mendizabal 2016) On the contrary, higher order thinking such as attention and memory are required when people take hand written notes. (Aragon– Mendizabal 2016) When taking notes longhand, writers must summarize, paraphrase, and relate concepts to one another in order to record the information in a timely enough manner. (University Wire 2016) Also, proofreading abilities are reduced on typed work, possibly due to the over usage of tools such as grammar and spelling check. (Lessien 2013) Success for students who hand write is documented not only for college students, but for young learners as well. Children as young as 4 years old show the benefits of hand writing before they are even able to read or write actual words. Advantages to writing by hand include better letter memorization and better memorization of shapes in 4–year–old children. (Longcamp in Sulzenbruck 2011) There is a greater association with reading and memorization related with hand writing as opposed to typing. The cell phone is known to have been used by the San Bernardino shooter last year. The information on that phone could be very beneficial to solving the case. However, privacy advocates argue Apple's interference could be detrimental to basic human rights. Apple themselves argue writing a "master key" could cause problems with their cyber security. Not to mention the financial jeopardy it could put Apple in. The FBI counters the "master key" argument with the plea that they will only use it for one device. It's not the use of the key Apple is worried about, it's about the availability of it. If Apple releases information regarding the San Bernardino shooting, then it should cause a lot more problems than it could solve. According to Appleinsider.com, the privacy advocates at Apple argue that if the government is granted the right to access the information on that phone, it could be in violation of a couple privacy laws. For instance The Privacy Act of 1974. "The Privacy Act of 1974 provides safeguards against invasion of personal privacy through the misuse of records by Federal Agencies" (U.S. State Department, 2016). • 14. Influences Of Gender Typing And Stereotypes Influences of gender typing and stereotypes are continually bombarding us wherever we are. Both types of gender processes are shown everywhere in the media which includes commercials, billboards, music, television shows, movies, and books. Advertisements for gender specific toys give children gender typing where they think a certain toy is cool if an older boy or girl is playing with the toy and that makes the toy more desirable. An example of this would be if a commercial shows a teenage boy playing with Nerf guns with his friends or teenage girls playing with Barbies. I went to Walmart to search for toys targeted towards gender typing and what I found was not too surprising. Immediately, I found the girl's section and I was surrounded by the color pink wherever I looked. There were many baby dolls in the aisles and this reminded me of the evolutionary perspective where women evolved to nurture and care for infants. Young girls are drawn towards babies perhaps from witnessing their mothers nurture and care for infants and children. Not surprisingly, there were tons of Barbies on the shelves that ranged from princesses, dance instructor Barbies, cooking Barbies, fashionista Barbie's, mermaid Barbies, and even a superhero Barbie. That didn't do any good so I just went to my computer to see what my friends were doing. (if they were online) So I opened up skype and began to call my friends. Surprisingly they were online. There was me summer who had had really good grades and was also was pretty. And finally Kyle, he was also my best friend but a little nerdy, not confident, and always stuttering. I asked if anybody knew how to go to sleep. Because I didn't feel sleepy at all. All of them said they didn't know how to, and they're dealing with the same issue as me. I noticed someone that shouldn't belong in our group chat. We didn't invite him to our group call. So we thought it was a glitch. So I told my friends to exit the call and call me back because it was distracting us. So when they called me back it was still there. When I approached one of the third–grade teachers in reference to evidence in her lessons of typing instruction reinforcement during students' writing period, she immediately answered, "keyboard instruction is the technology teachers responsibility and she don 't have the time." This reply has become increasingly common among educators, however, classroom teachers need to know that all educators must contribute to the collective goals towards the achievement of students developing technology competencies in typing in complying with The Common Core State Standards W.CCR.6 technology competencies, which states that students must acquire "use technology, including the internet, to produce and publish writing and to interact and collaborate with others." As stated in the Common Core State Standards, third graders are expected to demonstrate coding competencies, "with some guidance and support from adults, students must use technology to produce and publish writing as well as to interact and collaborate with others." A four resources analysis of technology research points out that "the definitions of technology in the Common Core State Standards implicitly demands that students develop coding competencies, however, there is the lack of instruction for educators on how coding dependencies should be taught in a CCSS– aligned 21st–century classroom. When writing by hand, our brain receives feedback from our motor actions, together with the sensation of touching a pencil and paper. These kinds of feedback is significantly different from those we receive when touching and typing on a keyboard. Learning by doing Together with neurophysiologist Jean–Luc Velay at the University of Marseille, Anne Mangen has written an article published in the Advances in Haptics periodical. In educational science, there is scant interest in the ergonomics of reading and writing, and its potential significance in the learning process. Mangen refers to an experiment involving two groups of adults, in which the participants were assigned the task of having to learn to write in an unknown alphabet, consisting of approximately twenty letters. One group was taught to write by hand, while the other was using a keyboard. Three and six weeks into the experiment, the participants ' recollection of these letters, as well as their rapidity in distinguishing right and reversed letters, were tested. Those who had learned the letters by handwriting came out best in all tests. Furthermore, fMRI brain scans indicated an activation of the Broca 's area within this group. Among those who had learned by typing on keyboards, there was little or no activation of this area. The difference in how children may play and/or interact is clear to see. At a very young age, children already have started to associate different toys, clothing, jobs, behaviors, and/or colors with gender. What accounts for accounts for this in children? Reading about gender typing in the book made me become more interested in what factors contribute to developing gender typing in children. The book, in my opinion, gives a very vague description of what really develops gender typing in children. My belief is that gender typing is a very complex concept and there are many factors that go into the different aspects of gender typing in children. In a multidimensional study in gender typing in preschoolers and parents, Patricia Turner and Judit Gervai assessed the attitudes, personality, preferences, and cultural differences of the selected participants. Within the study, 82 four year old girls and 79 four year old boys along with their parents participated. When I stirred the first sample with each type of antiserum, the blood became cloudy and particles formed in it when the antisera–A and antisera–Rh were stirred in, so that showed a reaction. Because it reacted with only these two types of antiserum, that combination shows that the blood is AB Positive because of the combination of antibodies in the blood. AB Positive blood has both A and B antigens on the red blood cells, but neither A or B antibodies on the plasma. For the second sample, I stirred in all three serums and the blood reacted with Anti–B and Anti–Rh. Because it reacted with these two serums, it shows that the blood has the combination of antibodies that make it type B Positive. This means that there are B antigens on the red blood cells, but A and B antibodies are in the plasma. It begins with a discussion of PD and its symptoms, and then provides an overview of the current and emerging diagnostic strategies for early detection of the disease, with particular emphasis on those involving human–computer interaction (HCI) and the relationship with keystroke biometrics. The scope of the review is to focus on the motor symptoms of PD, rather than the causes, pathogenesis or research into potential prevention or cure. It builds on a previous PD literature review by the author (Adams, 2015). 1.2 Overview of Parkinson's Disease The most common neurodegenerative movement disorder today is Parkinson Disease (Barth et al., 2011), with a prevalence which increases with age – from just 0.01% of the population aged 40 – 44 years and increasing to 1% at age 65, then up to 22% by age 85 and over. The total number of people with PD is expected to continue grow in the coming decades because of the aging society and a range of environmental factors. PD is a progressive neurodegenerative movement disorder of unknown etiology that has no cure. • 32. Blood Typing And The Blood Of The Donor Blood INTRODUCTION: Blood typing is one of the tests that will determine a person's blood type. Although, all blood is made of the same basic elements but they are not same by their blood typing. In fact, there are eight different common blood types. Based on certain substances of antigen presence or absence and Rh factors we will able to identify the person blood types. Those substances can trigger an immune response if they are foreign to the body. Blood typing is important when you need a blood transfusion or planning to have an organ transplant. As we know not all blood types are compatible due to their antigen and antibodies they have. Since some antigens can react with person immune system to attack the donor blood, It is very important to know the person's blood typing and cross– matching to ensure that your body doesn't make antibodies to attack the donor blood or organ. Blood typing is especially important to pregnant mothers when the mother is Rh– and the father has Rh+ and a child born with Rh positive. So, it is important to be an early cautious in order to avoid reactive consequences. In the medical sector small mistake can take patient life. In this lab experiment though using the anti A serum, anti B serum, and anti Rh serum, we were able to identify the blood types of each sample that we had. The integumentary system acts as a barrier to protect the fingers from harm or pathogenic agents from the keyboard. Thick skin, such as the skin of palms, has five skin layers including the stratum basale, stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and stratum corneum, in order to protect the fingers from wear and tear. The integumentary system also provides protection with chemical barriers such as the acid mantle, which retards bacterial growth; human defensin, which kills bacteria; and cathelicidins, which prevent infections. Biological barriers in the epidermis such as Langerhans cells, tissue macrophages that act as antigen presenting cells, are also present. The integumentary system is also responsible for cutaneous sensation by sending signals received from Merkel cells in the epidermis and Meissner's corpuscles in the dermis to the brain via nerves. The nervous system is in charge of carrying signals from the fingers to the brain, processing information, and sending signals back from the brain to the fingers. The nervous system's afferent nerves carry signals from the peripheral nervous system to the central nervous system, neural integration is carried out by interneurons, and efferent neurons send signals back from the central nervous system to the peripheral nervous system. Cerebrum: The cerebrum is the main part of the brain, which has two halves, or hemispheres. The right hemisphere controls the left side of the body and deals with things such as creativity, music, and art. While the left hemisphere of the cerebrum controls the right side of the body and is in charge of language, problem solving, and math. The cerebrum's many tasks are carried out by its outer layer, or its cortex. This has distinct areas that have different roles. Motor areas trigger movement; sensory areas deal with the senses, while association areas clarify information. Cerebellum: The cerebellum is responsible for producing smooth, coordinated movements of the body. It analyzes incoming information about the body's current movement and position then interacts with the primary motor cortex to precisely time muscle contractions. Why does writing something down help us remember it better? Our brain is separated into several regions that undergo different kind of information. Then there are regions that process information such as visual, verbal communication, auditory, emotions, etc. These different regions communicate with each other and each one of them has its own processes it has to complete first.
