Question 3
1.
2. Before starting to planning my opening
sequence. I did some research into the media

3. Media distribution is where companies make
the media product available for viewing to the
audience.
Way they can make it available for viewing -
DVD’s
Available in cinemas.
Products related to the media products, like an
soundtrack.
4. Our media product is an low budget,
independent British film. This means out film
wont be distributed by an large well know
company. Compared to an Hollywood film
where it would be. Some example of big film
distribution companies are-
Disney
Dream Works
Warner Brothers
5. Due to the face that out media product is an
low budget, independent British film, we will
not have a big company wanting to distribute
out product. So small companies will distribute
out product. Example include-
Vertigo Films
DNA Films
Film 4
6. Many British independent films are distributed
strait onto DVD or shown in UK cinemas only
and for a short amount of time. This is because
cinema chains normally show the movie that
they think are going to get the most amount of
profit from, such as high budget Hollywood
movies.
7. Having an small distributed like, film 4, could
mean that not many people who are potential
views will know about out film. This is because
the film distribution company we are with
might not be able to get out movie into the
cinema for audience to watch. It many mean
that out film will only be realised on DVD.
8. To get as many people as possible to be aware
of our film we can;
Create a website
Make the trailer as know as possible (YouTube)
Symbiotic marketing
Targeting an Niche audience
Viral marketing
