3. Purpose of Analysis
• A lot of people have watched the Descent and some people at of the nine said they didn’t know if they
watched it or not. I think they liked the film because of the media and narrative and the cast. A lot of these
people who watched the Descent didn't’t watch it at the cinema or home some people have watched it
somewhere else. Also that we see that there isn't a lot of people who go to the cinema very often. A lot of
people are more interested in staying inside activity's they out door. A lot of people like action films as a
genre and comedy and sci-fi then horror and drama but as you can see there are many different peoples
opinions. A lot of people enjoyed the Descent they didn’t like the Descent. Then again more people
wouldn't’t recommend the film to a friend.
• From this data the person maybe would watch the descent because a few people like horror film and like
the film Descent but they wouldn't’t recommend it to a friend. But the person could like the other genres
more and go for a film like that. Plus the company that produce the Descent was Celador but they are not
well known ether. Also so people might wait for it to come out on DVD because not many people go to the
cinema. Also there's a lot more a male audience then a female audience.
• For the person I identified I would see him going to a horror film because he interests are extreme he
sounds like a guy who likes the thrill seeking so I would think he would go watch a thrill seeking horror
film. But I think he would like to watch it at home because of he likes the comfort of his own home plus
because he is a very relaxed person I think he likes a relaxing environment. Also because he can spend a
fair bit of money I think he will have a lot of gadgets of his own to be able to watch any film in the best
quality.
