2. TV Listing Magazines
• One piece of the print work that
must accompany our soap opera is a
cover for a current Television listing
magazine. The first decision that
needed to be made is what
publication will my magazine cover
be used for. I found webpage
(RadioandTelly.co.uk) that had an
overview of all the most popular
listing magazines in Britain. This
website was an extremely useful
resource that helped me arrive at
my decision.
5. Decision
• After extensive research and the help of
RadioandTelly.com I decided What's on TV
is publication my cover would be used for.
This was due to several different factors. I
felt the price was right as it is the second
cheapest (behind TV Choice). It has the
same amount of listing pages as TV choice
but roughly has 16 more pages than TV
choice giving the reader more value for
money. Although it features less TV
channels in their listing this was not a
factor for me as my show runs on a
Freeview channel so is included in all of the
listing magazines. Whilst TV choice has
more channels in their listing they do not
have any radio channels like What’s on TV
has, this will further attract the audience.
