2. Gender
This question is regarding the age
of my audience, from the graph it is
evident that more females
participated in my survey, which is
ideal as our target audience are
females. We included males to
complete this survey as we wanted
to discover a range of responses
from our audience so we can
compare and contrast.
3. Age
We included this type of
demography as we wanted to be
aware of the age of our
audience, so we can identify the
suitable entertainment. From the
chart it is evident that 16 year olds
are completing our
survey, therefore from this chart
we know that hard news should
not be part of our talk.
4. What do you dislike about radio?
This is an open ended question, my audience had to include an
answer based on their opinion. From the responses I have
received it is evident that majority of my audience have disliked
the fact that „there are too many adverts‟ and that adverts are long
and are very time consuming. This shows us that we shouldn‟t add
too many adverts in our radio.
5. Do you listen to the radio?
This question is asking the

thing for this generation.

listen to?
This question portrays that most people listen to capital FM which
suggests the types of entertainment our audience likes. Capital FM plays
upbeat dance music and also in the mornings, they tell you weather and
traffic updates, this also shows us that we should add entertainment in
our radio.
7. When do you listen to radio ?
This tells us that our audience likes to
listen to the radio in the mornings. We
initially was thinking of doing our
radio news in the evenings but as this

do it would be the mornings, we have
changed our minds. The type of
entertainment played in the mornings
are stuff like weather and traffic
updates as well as competitions.

latest musics.

There were many variety of presenters that the audience
favouritized, such as Dermot O‟Leary, Dave Berry and Reggie Yeats.
All these presenters are from radio 1, which suggests the audience

The data in the graph demonstrates that over 80%
of the audience listen to radio within less than an
hour and only 20% listen to it more than an hour.
This information from the data we collected suggests
that people don‟t spend much time listening to the
radio, as it may not be considered as important to
them, judging on their age group which is 16-18, you
would expect them to be in education or in part time
employments, which means theyre occupied with
work load and would be busy with that.
