Poster – Conventions common to both posters ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],For the colours I decided upon pink, I chose this because it is quite symbolic as a girly colour. For example it predominates the covers of magazines such Shout! ( http://www.shoutmag.co.uk ) When people think pink they associate it with girls and femininity. I wanted the audience to be able to see that my film was aimed at my target audience of teenage girls. I chose to have an image of a group of girls and a singular girl separate because I wanted it to be obvious that there was a division between the main character and the group of girls. This sort of thing seems to be quite a common occurrence with teenage girls, for example http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/advice/factfile_az/falling_out says that ‘Girls are more likely than boys to stay in touch with school friends’. This picture was good because of the way the two girls look like they are giving disgusted looks towards the main character. The main image of the character is good because I wanted an image that would show the main character as being quite strong willed and confident, I feel that this image achieves this because she is stood in a confident pose.
