1. 5. How did you attract/ address your audience?
Addressing the target audience is important, as you are promoting the media in a positive manner as
much as possible, to make people want to buy the product again. If my front cover was plain and
simple, it would not be appealing product that someone would purchase or if there was too much text
on the cover, it would be overwhelming for the reader to focus on something, By using a few different
fonts, this is to give the page different things to focus on. Choosing the right shot is key in capturing
someone's attention, because the image has to show direct address, which makes it clear to the
reader. For my media product, I decided to use a mid-shot, because this focuses more on the artist,
their facial expression, but also keeps it simple from the reader's point of view. In my opinion, if I used
a different type of shot, this may have caused a problem on constructing the front cover, to make it
effective to the audience. I discarded a few images, as some were not as striking as others or the
poses were not sharp enough to use in my media product.
2. The name of the product is important, because this is how people will remember the product. You want to
show positive things about your product, so it could even be a recommendation to someone else who
may be interested, but most importantly, make it remembered and easy to spot among other media
products. Using varied grammar and vocabulary in the cover lines, gives a sense of what the article is
about, but in a subtle way from the reader's point of view. By including free items of some sort is also a
good way to keep the audience entertained.
