Jane Austen was an English novelist known
primarily for her six major novel , which
interested, clique and comment upon the British
landed gentry at the end of the 18th century.
Austen’s plots often explore the dependence of
women on marriage in the pursuit of favorable
social standing and economic .
She use of biting , irony along with her realism ,
humor and social commentary.

Sense : the ability to act with restraint, judgement and
reasoning. (Elinor)
Sensibility : to give way to feeling and emotions. ( Marianne)
There two qualities represent the two heroine of the novel
Elinor for sense and Marianne for sensibility.

Pride : leads to narrow mildness. ( Elisabeth)
Prejudice: leads to false perception of others.(Darcy )

8. Conflicts between two Novel
We see both types of conflict at
play. External: conflict exist
between characters such as
Elinor and Edward, Elinor and

Brandon.Internal : conflict is
evident with Elinor as she
wrested with the divided
between her head and her heart,
so to speak.
The major conflict in this first
section of the novel centers on
whether jane and Bingley will be
able to marry , since Darcy and
Bingley's sisters seen
determined to keep them apart.
Another conflict arise when
mr.collins begins pursuing
Elizabeth and she is forced to
reject him.
