Synopsis: Thomas Deutschlaender is a Program Manager of DHL Express programs and will share DHL
experience on:
How the run programs with international project teams and stakeholders around the globe.
How his team is rolling out new services around the world with no impact to the business in the

How to monitor progress of teams in different location to ensure that the overall Program objectives

Thomas Deutschlaender is an experience Program Manager at DHL IT Services with over 20
years of experience in Project and Program Management. During his career he developed and
deployed IT application on regional and global level. Beside Standard Solution like SAP he is
also familiar with individually developed solutions.
PMBok from 4th to 5th Edition – A Review of the changes
Synopsis: This session will walk participants through the changes in PMBok 5th edition from 4th edition. We
will focus on the main changes and take a fresh look at the structure of the processes and the knowledge
areas. A high level comparison of PMBok 5th and the ISO 21500 will be made and how that relates to the
changes in 5th edition. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

Robert has been trained in Accountancy, System Analysis & Design, Project Management and
Business management. Over the last 20 years he has helped and coached business owners
and their team in addressing business issues, procedure realignment, provision of alternatives,
proposing work-around solutions and business process improvements. Robert has served as a
Consulting manager in KPMG Consulting (APAC) and as Principal consultant in PwC
Consulting (East Asia) managing projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and
Indonesia. The projects he has managed are of various complexities and include systems for
companies involved in mega projects and projects of multi-national scope. He currently lectures
at various universities and at The University of Nottingham MC where he serves as Industrial
Consultant and as a Project Management researcher. He operates as an independent business
consultant and Trainer for PMP® and CAPM® examinations, Strategic Management, Project
Management, Logical Framework Analysis, Change Management, Negotiation skills, Team
development and motivation.
