OIL AND GAS FIELD

2. Responsibilities:
Preparing work permits and takes a lead role.
Prepare and follow the work schedules for periodic maintenance.
As a part of operation and maintenance we carry out Preventive Maintenance & Breakdown
Maintenance.
Checking the alignments, vibrations, temp level of the rotary equipments.
Lube oil flushing of entire lube oil circuits, filters and strainers replacements.
Inspection and troubleshooting.
Observe operation of all equipment during routine activities for abnormalities, and report any
defects to relevant Supervisor
Activity contributes to assist the maintenance team achieving outstanding performance in meeting
group targets of HSE & Efficiency.
Maintain a vigilant lookout for faults on installations safety system and process.
Improve HSSE awareness at work site.
Very good knowledge about hazardous location and its safe practices.
Ensure all work permits have been cleared before handing over to production.
Equipment Maintenance History updating and record keeping.
ROTATING EQUIPMENTS
PUMPS:
Having relevant experience in maintenance in all types of pumps such as centrifugal,
reciprocating & rotary pumps.
Involved in centrifugal Pumps overhauling mechanical seal assembling and aligning the pump
with prime mover by reverse 7 graphical methods rim and face method.
Obtaining a complete check list of the dismantled equipment and keep a record of the same.
Inspect the condition of rotating parts namely shaft, sleeve, impeller, oil deflectors wearing,
bearings, coupling and stationary parts such as casing stuffing box, distance pieces and
bearing housing.
Renewal of mechanical seals replacement of rotor checking wearing and throat bushes,
bearing clearances.
Maintaining the required Radial & Axial float in multistage pumps.
Hydro test of pumps to determine mechanical seal and casing leaks.
Over hauling of reciprocating pump such as plunger pump & diaphragm pump including
renewal of plunger packing, oil seals, suction discharge valves checking & servicing.
CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR:
Completely overhauled.
Inspection, Dismantling & Installation of Thrust bearings and Journal bearings (plain and
tilting pads types) with direct and pressurized lubrication systems.
Locate position of rotor assembly and proper installation of gas seals or oil film seal.
Respecting the Radial & minimum axial clearance between impellers and diaphragm and
delivery dimensions of volute.
3. RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR:
Dismantling and assembling of reciprocating compressor ( Piston type)
Worked in changing of main bearing, big end bearing, small end bearing
Cylinder side clearance, and piston pumping clearance, suction and delivery valve clearance
inspection.
All these clearance inspected through the inside outside micro meter, dial gauge micro meter,
filler gauge and lead wire.
GAS TURBINE:
Fuel nozzle assembly removal, cleaning and Re install.
Hydraulic, Lube oil and Air Intake filters removal and install new filters.
Gas strainer removal, cleaning and re install.
Periodical maintenance such as compressor cranks wash.
Worked with GE Service Engineer during major overhauling and carried the
following jobs
Fuel nozzles, Combustion liner, Transition piece and Turbine buckets replacing.
Journal & Thrust bearing checking and labyrinth checking.
STEAM TURBINE:
Involved in start-up, shut down and trouble shooting of Steam turbines
Setting of rotor axial centring, bearing clearance checking, over speed trip bolt checking and
correction.
Preventive and shut down activities in ejectors, surface condensers, condensate Pumps, control
valves and shut off valves and oil coolers.
ENGINE:
Worked on complete overhaul and troubleshooting, maintenance of gas and diesel engine.
Changing piston ring, valve back lash, bearing changing and cylinder firing order inspection.
Maintained the required clearances on their major parts such as valve clearance, bearings, etc.
GEAR BOXES:
Having experience to strip & rebuild all type of gear boxes and lubrication system. Involved in
preventive maintenance and bearing changing, inspection of gap and checked the back lash
clearance activities.
Having experience to change the blade angles, belt aligning tensioning in the pulley with Driver.
HEAT EXCHANGER:
Involved maintenance activities of fixed, floating head type and U type bundle heat
exchangers.
Hydro testing of shell test, tube test and doom test.
Tube plugging and replacement, Hydro testing.
PIPELINE WORKS:
Involved in erection of pipeline, maintenance, measurements, testing.
4. STATIC EQUIPMENTS:
Worked in safety relief valves, filters, strainers, flame arrester, and pipeline plant Maintenance.
Involved in safety relief valves overhauling & calibration and general valves Gate Valve, globe
valve, ball valve, check valve etc.
Repair and change the gland packing and plant preventive maintenance of static Equipments.

Preparation, running and reinstatement of rotating equipment systems.
Rotating equipment alignment, valves greasing, equipment and piping materials preservation,
piping pressure testing, system flushing and blowing, reinstatement, system leak test and inert gas
purging, preparation of lubrication schedule, rotating equipment initial load runs and system
punch listing and clearing.
Submit daily report to Engineer Supervisor.
Performing walk down and punch listing of system for Hanover purpose.
Undertaking P&ID, Commissioning activities and vendor drawings.
Initial start-up & commissioning activities of process and utility systems.
Always prefer Permit to work system LOTO.
SafetyDevices:
H2S Safety, Fire safety, using crow can gas tester (CH4, H2S), fire Extinguisher (Foam, DCP & CO2)
using in fire classification, fusible plug operation, and deluge valve operation. Breathing Apparatus,
Safety Jacket, and Gas detector. Smoke detector, heat detector operation, H2S deduction.
