Tonight’s top stories are…
Safety fears for England’s second city in the wakeof the Paris Attacks. And in
lighter news a new prime number has been discovered by a sixth form student
froma local comprehensiveschool in Acocks Green, Birmingham.
First, to our top story. Back in November of 2015, the world was shocked by
the news that 130 people had lost their lives in a Paris terror attack. In the
wakeof this atrocity, other European countries moved to high alert amongst
fears that this was not an isolated event. We go now to our field
correspondent………..
West Midlands Police haveheightened their security in Birmingham City
Centre according to a recent report from the West Midlands Police. 10% more
patrolling officers can now be seen in the City Centre and surrounding areas.
We have asked somemembers of the public if they feel safe in the City Centre
in the wakeof the Paris attacks.

With Birmingham being England’s second city, there are increased fears that
we could be a target. However, with the West Midlands police and armed
responseteams on high alert, it would seem that the citizens of our city do feel
that they arein good hands and more importantly, are safe.
