- 5. OWA: Grade 5 When administered: Mid-year Text form: Report Format: Newspaper Task: You are a reporter for a newspaper. Your assignment is to write a report about your school’s upcoming talent show. All the money raised by the talent show will help buy new books for the school.

- Distribute enough sample reviews for at least one per person at each table. Variety of reviews such as restaurant, online links, accommodation, products, movies, live theatre, videogames. Groups read their reviews and generate a list of features that they have in common. E.g. They provide information about the subject of the review; point out strengths and weaknesses; make a recommendation or not.
