Why we did our research, and what
we have gained from it…
 From our research, we as documentary makers have developed a
new knowledge of tattoos’ and piercings which we wish to teach
our audience. We intended to get a good foundation of knowledge
so that we could integrate our new found knowledge into the
documentary and interviews. This has meant that the process has
run much smoother. We have developed our knowledge from only
reliable, credible resources such as News companies like The
Huffington and The Guardian. We have developed a biased
argument from looking at newspaper companies who are known
for being more biased such as the Daily Mail – from reading Daily
Mail articles we can support our “against” argument well as from
our research we have come to the conclusion this company is
clearly against tattoos. This has highlighted that our research has
been effective and we have now developed a new knowledge
which we didn’t have before producing this documentary.
