Simulation Training for Nursing Students
They can’t fly or read minds, but they still save lives! Nurses are the modern-day
superheroes. In today’s evolving world of technology, the medical field welcomes advancements
with open arms. The best way for a nursing student to craft and hone their skills is with on-the-
job training. Since it is not safe for nursing students to practice on actual human beings right
away, simulation training is the next best thing. Simulation training allows students to practice
on human like figures, ranging from babies to adults, that are able to breathe, maintain a pulse
and blood pressure, go into cardiac arrest, and much more. With this technological advancement,
nursing students will be able to enter the medical field with more knowledge and confidence,
better manage stressful situations, and produce less errors.
It has been proven effective in any place of work that on-the-job training is the best
method of learning. Just the same as a sponge, some students soak up all the knowledge that a
textbook contains, but others require hands on learning. When learning new techniques, tools,
body parts, etc., touching them teaches the brain muscle memory allowing students to put a face
to the name. “… simulation had improved students’ learning in terms of knowledge, critical
thinking, reasoning and self-confidence” (Agha, 19). These simulations allow students to be able
to learn and perfect possible scenarios before going into clinicals. “Through simulated practices,
the student health professional can improve technical, communication and also behavioral skills,
develop critical observation, learn to work in a team, and exercise clinical reasoning and

decision-making” (Fonseca, 3). Hospital staff, patients, and their family’s minds can be more at
ease knowing that nursing students are getting the most out of their education before entering the
medical field.
A hospital is the home of chaos. While one wing may be silent, another contains the
screams of a mother giving birth, or doctors and nurses scrambling to keep their patient alive in
an operating room. Nurses must be able to manage their stress in any situation thrown at them. In
a study conducted on Hybrid simulations, groups of three to four nursing students were able to
work with various forms of simulations from low to high technologies. This exercise essentially
mirrored a high-volume emergency room scenario. “Hybrid simulation is the combination of
more than one simulation modality in a single teaching or evaluation exercise…Hybrid
simulations allows for the training of technical skills combined with communication proficiency”
(Unver, p. 264). Professionalism and teamwork, although frequently overlooked, are some of the
most important skills a nurse should bear. As a nurse you will never be working alone. You are

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

Quality Improvement In Nursing Essay
1. Quality Improvement in Nursing Essay
Quality Improvement Project
Answering the call light (also called call bell a handheld like that is attached to the patient room wall, above the headboard of the bed) in a timely
manner by the nursing staff in hospital setting is necessary to prevent falls that can harm, prolonged stays, and unnecessarily increase the cost of
healthcare. However, researches concerning call light uses as it relates to patient safety, patient–care management and patient satisfaction are limited
(Meade et al. 2006). Patients and their families emphasize that nurses should monitor patients constantly and provide assistance and answer a call light
in a timely manner (Yoder, 2011). Note that the falls may be caused by several factors such as... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If there is a fall with injury, the manager has the ability to go back and check how long the call light was on prior to a fall. However, this information
is not used to prevent and emphasize the relationship between the length of time a call light is on and the rate of fall. Most nurses and patient care
technicians are not aware that the manager can back–track the call light and find out this information. To measure the rate of falls to the length of time
a call light is answered, the nurse working on the project choose the histogram. This illustrates the length of time in the Y axis and the rate of falls
in the X axis during the period of study (time frame). The histogram itself will include a control group, average answers, and delay answers to call
light. This example was imported and modified from a previous study done comparing the numbers of call lights and nursing rounds by (Meade et
al. 2006). A realistic goal of this study is to reduce the fall related to a delay in answering the call light to less than the standard national data base that
can be found in National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI). The nurse will be able to compare the data obtained on the unit to similar
hospital units by referencing (benchmarking) to the national data from NDNQI. There will be a follow up study and gradual modification of the plan
in order to achieve the outcome. The team has to set

CHAPTER – 1
INTRODUCTION
Parle Biscuits Ltd was set up in Bombay in year 1932. It expanded with high frequency in different parts of India. In this process of expansion the unit
at Bahadurgarh (Haryana) was established in 1981 as Parle Biscuits Ltd.
The plant is one of the most mechanized and advanced in the country. The location of the factory is well suited, being at national highway near Delhi.
It greatly facilitates the delivery of raw materials and dispatch of finished products. Further being in a rural area (village Sankhol) there is large pool of
labour. There is efficient system of ventilation and light throughout the factory. Thus Parle Biscuits Ltd. has all distinguishing features of a modern

4. Description Of A Model Case
5.Cases: Model, Related, Contrary, Borderline & Invented
Model Case A model is a simple representation of something else. Avant and Walker 2011, define a model case as an occurrence that defines the case
or idea exactly. In many instances, a model is something that the person can relate to and should come first in the study (Avant & Walker, 2011).
Example of a model case: "Jason" is a 31–year–old white male that has worked on the surgical oncology floor for 5 years. He has a wife and a
two–year–old son, drinks about three days a week and often yells at his wife and son. He arrives to work every day on time and his coworkers know
him for his speed, organization and great time management. He is the charge nurse most nights and is currently orientating a new nurse who also
knows his wife. Most days, he is very short with the new hired nurse; belittling and acting very pompous. One day, the new hire arrives to work and
is visibly upset and teary eyed, Jason does not care and proceeds to his teaching process as usual. The new nurse gets fed up and proceeds to yell his
faults to the entire night shift crew and even a few members of upper management. The new nurse calls him "the worst nurse ever" and states that
"working together has been a nightmare". Further elaborating that he is "a monster and evil human being because of his frequent verbal abuse directed
toward his wife and son". Jason is immediately taken back and is consumed by his guilt and shame causing him to completely

5. Analysis Of The Article ' Crucible Of Leadership '
The skills required to conquer adversity and emerge stronger and more committed than ever are the ones that make for extraordinary leaders". This
quote summarizes Warren G. Bennis and Robert J. Thomas theme in their article "Crucible of Leadership" in support of the fundamental objective of
this assignment.
On 7 December 2008, 82nd ABN DIV Forward Support Company, distribution platoon was involved in a safety accident, adjudicated as operator
negligence resulting in the death of a 22 year old soldier from Irvine, California. Furthermore, this tragedy was not only a failure in leadership,
applicable training (i.e. certification) and wrong equipment more importantly, this challenge has prepared me for the operational unknown throughout
my military career. For that reason, this formative event is deemed as my crucible experience and inspired a pendulum shift across the military,
reinforcing the importance of safety mechanisms in garrison and deployed operational environment.
In 2008, I was a newly promoted distribution platoon leader assigned the prestigious 82nd ABN DIV. My unit was on orders, as replacement sustainers
for the 10th Mountain Division from Ft. Drum in Afghanistan. During the pre–mobilization stage, significant operational challenges were identified
however, overlooked by the CoC in preparation to assume the responsibility for theater sustainment and distribution throughout Afghanistan.
More importantly, to set the conditions for reception staging onward

6. Four Rotations Case Study
As discussed, note G3 is not in the mix.
The start of the rotation up front depends on what forward line was on the ice when we took the penalty. Go to the next pairing that was not on the ice
and rotate from there.
в—ЏOne word of caution – this table only works if the rotation is Blue, Red and Gold. If the rotation switches to Blue, Gold, Red, then the table
must change also. It is simple to do and to write into your notebook in case the line order changes during a game. If you have four forward lines,
keeping the same relative rotation is easier but again, be prepared in your notebook for those changes. The bright side is you only have to do this
planning once at the start of the season, unless you change the combination of the personnel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hockey is a defensive game and I want to take no chances in our end. I will do anything to have the best combination of people on the ice if the
puck is in our zone. To do that, I must consider who is in the box and mentally ask what penalty killing pair would match best with him if I cannot
have him on his normal line when the penalty ends. If he is a left wing, for instance, I might place a third penalty killing pair on the ice that is missing
a left wing or switch some position assignments to ensure the penalized player properly fits on a line up front. I am not assuming there will be three
rotations. I am still shooting for the ideal four. This is a decision made early in the penalty and is a measure of insurance in case the opposition traps
our third pair and they cannot skate to the bench for a player

Soldiers are in the spot light way to much these days, from a recruiter at a local school to a Soldier in Iraq. The nation trust's these Soldiers to defend

The purpose of this short paper is to discuss the processes of microsystem in rehab unit, exploring whether the process used is working well or
presenting challenges. This paper analyzes the collective data obtained from the completed microsystem assessment tool (MAT). As we know it,
microsystem is the logical ballgame for the connection between vision and transmission and thus functions as the "agent for change" (Stanley, 2011).
Processes that are Working Well Based on page 11
–12 of my MAT–– Core and Supporting Processess that work well include Admission, Routine Care,
Transfer from Inpatient, Discharge, Adverse Drug Event, Code, Feeding Patients, Pain Management, Monitoring Confusion, At Risk for Falls, At Risk

Process, Physician Orders, Medical Records, CIS, Follow–up Appointments, End of life/Code Status, Bed Management, Answering Phones, Hazardous
Materials, Housekeeping, and Consultations.
Processes that Present Challenges In contrast, the processes that present challenges, which can also be found on the same page (11–12), consist of
Medication Administration, Pharmacy Ordering, Pharmacy Receiving, and Materials & Equipment. Evidently, the medication administration is
seriously delayed in this case. This is why. As soon as the doctor has finished his evaluation, and as soon as the new set of prescriptions has been

Back in the spring of 2012 I was at a crossroads do I reenlist in the army or do i simple just take my discharge and move on to a new path with a
slower pace. The military had been all I knew for the last eight years. These where my brothers we had been to hell and back together. We came face
to face with devil in the Middle East and walked away from it uninjured. However the continuous rotations overseas would break anyone down three
months in country then six months back in the states it was a continuous cycle that never ended. Life in Ranger Regiment wasn't easy the mission
tempo was fast paced and demanding. I had seen a few guys from the unit break and go into a form of psychos an then med. boarded out. Then there

14. Double Booking: A Case Study
1. Double Booking is when there is 2 or more patients schedules at the same time. This is mainly used with short visits or a high no–show rate. But it
does increase the waiting time for patients. Which I don't know if this is a con or pro but the physician doesn't have much down time.
Example:
9:00 Mary Knew Sue New
9:15 Kathy Pat Emily Ruth
2. Wave is when there is a specific number of patients, usually 4, scheduled at the beginning of the same hour. This technique allows specific
procedures, such as a routine ECG, to be performed prior to the physician seeing the patient. This also reduces the physicians downtime. This is
intended to start and finish each hour on time allowing for up–to–date knowledge of patient flow. Increases ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is used to determine the start and finish each hour on time. Does decrease patient waiting time. Avoids issues of who should be seen first.

10:00 .....
4. Time–specific is when the patient is given an appointment based on the length of time needed and on available time. This is the most common
scheduling method. This can be good to help keep on track but can be bad when a patient doesn't show up. Then we have a 'gap' in the schedule.
9:00 Mary Knew
9:15 Sue New
9:30 (Blocked for Sue New)
9:45 Kathy Pat
10:00 Emily Ruth
Since Mary Knew is new, the documentation should be noted as a new patient (NP) on the schedule. That way the right material is out for the
physician. For example, at the wound clinic, we need to get a measuring stick, gauze and saline out for every patient. But if the patient is NP, we need
to get out a doppler for the physician. Also, we would need to have the patient some questions. The most important question would be if the patient is
on any medication and what for. Also, what the patients medical history? What surgeries have been done and why? Also, family history (grandparents,

17. Descriptive Essay About Basketball
Swish
It was my final high school game at Chino Hills with my best friend Lonzo Ball. It was the State Championship against Mater Dei. College scouts
were scattered over the whole stadium! I want to impress the UCLA scout because Lonzo had committed there and i want to play basketball with
my best friend. If i could get scholarship to UCLA it would be amazing. "Chardee this your time to shine let's get out there and do what we do best."
Lonzo told me. "You're right, you better make me look good out there with all of the NCAA scouts watching all of us." I said jokingly to him. Tip off
neared and then Lonzo, I, and the rest of the team got on the court to play Mater Dei. It started off close but i catched fire and i was splashing all of my
three pointers. At the end of the first quarter i had 17 points. I had five three pointers and one monster dunk over Bol Bol (Bol bol is a 7'1 high
schooler). The game was going really well for me and i hoped i could get some more points to impress the scouts. "Welcome back ladies and
gentlemen. The player to watch in this game is Chardee Macdennis, he is on fire, 29 points in the first half, Chardee is 7–9 for behind the arch. The
college scouts are watching him for sure" In the locker room, everyone was giving props to me for doing so good. Suddenly coach Joey came up to
me. "Chardee i heard a UCLA scouts talking, they said if you do good in the 2nd half they are going to offer you a scholarship!" "Thank you for the
heads up, ill my hardest in the 2nd half" i responded The team then proceeded out of the locker room for the 2nd half.
The game had started up again and i was playing good.We were destroying them 68–39. I had 36 points at that point. Towards the end of the game i
saw the UCLA scouts walking down to the court. At the end of the game Mater dei got embarrassed and we beat them 102–61. I had 51 points at the
end of the game. That game was the best i have ever played compared to my other career high i had in any other games. A man with a UCLA hat came
up to me.
"Hey chardee, that performance was one of the best i have ever seen, the UCLA bruins see a lot of potential in you and hope that you will accept a
scholarship that we are going to offer you.ВЁ

18. Mineral Soft Inventory
In the months that we have had Mineral Soft, I have logged over way 100 hours linking, tying and correcting the data that is in Mineral Soft. That's not
including the time it took me to create the spreadsheets required for the upload.
In the time, it took me to build out the spreadsheets plus the time it took for the folks at Mineral Soft to upload our data, I could have created all the
data that is in Mineral Soft with the correct ties. It has taken more than 2.5 weeks to create all of the tract allocations for the wells in OEP and OMR,
so that we can see the revenue associated with each acquisition. It was my understanding that things like this were being done when I sent over the
spreadsheets.

Not to mention, the random wells that OEP or OMR doesn't even own. Wells like the one below (Mandaree 4–15H) were peppered throughout both
entities. And I couldn't find them on the Asset Tracker. Nor in the county records could I find where we bought the interest in that Section, Township
and Range combination. Did you know there is no function to mark a well as Sold? My current work around is adding z– to the first part of well name.
As the wells usually sort by name, adding the z– to the beginning pushes the sold wells to end of the list.
As for the Acquisitions, the tracts had to be tied and add the location information needed to be entered. If the Notes field was on the upload, the adding
of the location information would have been done at the time of upload, saving me many hours. Instead of having to input the information in Notes
field; actually, having some of the legal description as fields in the Acquisition tab would be wonderful. At least, having the County and State as a field
in the Acquisition area would be helpful.
Deeds called for adding the files and the lands covered, in the Notes field, for each and every deed associated with OMR and OEP. Again, having at
least the County & State for where the deed is recorded would be a great help. As it stands, the full legal description for every deed is being entered in
the Notes field. Which is quite time–consuming.
The only function I didn't spend massive
20. I Am A Safe Haven At Your Hands
Imagine having a safe haven at your hands, any time of the day. It is 2013, and I am in seventh grade. I am scrolling through Twitter in my dark
room when I come across a page called Buddy Project, and decide to read into it. As I am reading, with the light from my phone illuminating my
face, I find out that it 's a nonprofit organization that pairs you with a person. It is meant to help you deal with an eating disorder, self harm, suicidal
thoughts, and mental illnesses. I am seeing all of this information and I know I need to join the project. It was that one day in November that changed
my life forever.
I remember my heart racing when I was paired with my first buddy. I found out that her name was Abby; she was dealing with an eating disorder
and suspected she was depressed. We both hadn 't gotten help at this point, so it wasn 't truly beneficial. Pain and darkness were consuming our lives,
but speaking up didn 't seem like an option. The next year, 2014, I met two new people. Their names were Danielle and Jay. Again, mutual effort was
being made, but nobody got the help they needed yet. I saw blood–curdling messages, but I knew it was my job to help as best as I could. I felt like I
was drowning and gasping for air, but my main priority was the other people. Even though there was a disclaimer that says not to use the project as a
replacement for getting help, that is what so many people did. Trying to help someone who wouldn't get professional help is the type of thing

21. Math And Anatomy And Physiology Courses
The sheer amount of terminology and conceptual knowledge required for anatomy and physiology can be overwhelming for students. Educational
games are one approach to reinforce concepts. In this activity, students work in teams to review anatomy and physiology concepts by creating arrays of
descriptive tiles to define a term. Once guessed, students use their spatial knowledge to locate the structure or process within the body. Thegame
challenges students to think about course vocabulary in a different way and to pool their knowledge to get their classmates to guess the words. Pre–
/post–test data reveal that students achieve statistically significant learning gains after playing the game, and a survey of student perceptions
demonstrates that the game is helpful for learning vocabulary as well as fun to play. The game is easily adaptable for a variety of courses.
Introduction
Anatomy and Physiology courses are dense with terminology. Students struggle learning the vocabulary in addition to linking structure and function,
explaining concepts, and making broader connections. To help facilitate understanding, instructors often turn to classroom activities that promote active
learning. (Michael 2006, Lujan 2006, Jensen 2015)
Active learning strategies are diverse, but most focus on asking students to reflect on what they know and apply it through an activity. The rise of
flipped and active–learning classrooms has resulted in the development of a vast collection of tools to

26. RR Atletico Oaklawn Analysis: Separate Units Of Accounting
RR Atletico Oaklawn Analysis 1
Requirement 1:
What are the accounting issue(s) and the relevant components of the authoritative literature?
The case focuses on a sales agreement with multiple deliverables. The critical issue is determining whether there are separate units of accounting in the
sales agreement. In other words, should the multiple deliverables be accounted for as one unit of accounting or as two or more separate units of
accounting? Guidelines that assist with evaluating sales transactions that involve multiple deliverables can be found in subtopic 605–25, ''Revenue
Recognition–Multiple–Element
Arrangements,'' in the Codification.
Requirement 2: What are the separate units of accounting in the sales agreement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Question 2, above, is not relevant and need not be considered because there is no general right of return provided by AOI in its agreement with CMI.
Requirement 3: How much of the arrangement consideration should be allocated to each unit of accounting? Be sure to identify any other issues that
must be resolved to determine how revenue should be allocated.
AOI must now allocate the arrangement consideration between the two separate units of accounting.
As discussed in FASB ASC 605–25–30–2, arrangement consideration should be allocated using the relative selling price method. The case asks to
''identify any other issues that must be resolved to determine how revenue should be allocated.'' To apply the relative selling price method, AOI must
determine whether it has vendor–specific objective evidence (VSOE) of selling price (as defined below) for either or both of the separate units of
accounting. If AOI has VSOE of selling price for a unit of accounting, it should use that selling price in the relative selling price method. If AOI
does not have VSOE of selling price for a unit of accounting, it should determine whether it has third party evidence (TPE) of selling price (as
defined below). If AOI does not have VSOE of selling price, but does have TPE of selling price for a unit of accounting, then AOI should use TPE of
selling price in the relative selling price method. If AOI has neither VSOE of selling

what I was going to expect. I thought this course was all about photography as it is mainly known as "photography"; but after a brief introduction by
Mr. Oseivhi, I learned that there is much more components to it. This course focused on every little basic detail you absolutely need to know before
entering the Communication Technology industry. The company project where we were asked to make up a business and develop a business card,
letterhead, video and logo made me realized that it isn't easy to work together. You really need to be patient and corporate with others instead of
giving up. When my team mates weren't being respectful and doing the work they were assigned, it got me frustrated and infuriated. I preferred
working by myself and as a result separated myself from them and worked individually. But once Mr. Oseivhi made us realize that situations like
these will mostly likely occur in our future jobs we needed to learn how to adapt to others circumstances and work as a team. So therefore, that did
happen and at the end we got what we accomplished and as well as learned a valuable lesson. When using all these new software's for the first time, I
was shocked at how easy I was able

Nurse Manager Interview
This semester, I had the chance of interviewing Susan Holley–Washer, nurse manger of 4 Northwest. This floor is a telemetry and step down unit at the
Loma Linda Veteran Affairs Medical Center. During this time, I had the opportunity to ask many questions covering several topics. The topics
discussed her perspective on interviewing potential employees, counseling employees, employee evaluations, orientation of new personnel, budgetary
processes, manager roles in governance, determining staffing need, attendance of management meetings, and current unit projects. In the end, I was
able to obtain valuable information about the functions of a nurse manager and information about my opportunities as a potential employee on this unit.
My question discussed the interviewing process of potential employees. Holley–Washer answered by saying that it was a grid/panel–based interview
process. She stated that this format helps her and others on the panel eliminate applicants that do not meet the requirements of the unit. However, she
added that they do make exceptions to this process. The can intentionally pull applicants out of the grid system to interview personally in order to

ABSTRACT
The site–specific assessment analysis has been performed on a three legged drill rig with spud cans to investigate the failure of the leg lattice structure
of the legs of a Jack–up Rig which is being converted from Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) to Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU).
The failure of legs is quite common because of the increased elevated loads for a MOPU and also being a fixed platform and cannot be regularly
jacked up & down due to severe wave conditions. Unless a proper assessment and analysis is done, it is found dangerous to put the vessel into operation.
The authors in this paper have enunciated a proper procedure for the assessment of failure and a system and correct analysis procedure has been shown
by taking into consideration the overturning stability of the unit, preload requirements and the structural integrity of the legs and the leg holding system
(pinions) under storm loading. The hull strength has been

32. What Makes A Good Leader
What qualities make a good leader? You can ask a hundred different people, and you will get a hundred different answers. A good leader is someone
who accomplishes the mission, has the respect of their subordinates, and makes the difficult decisions when needed. For me, I believe that a great
leader needs to have a variety of qualities, but most importantly a sense of fairness, hard work/care, and common consideration for others. Different
experiences throughout my life and time at West Point have lead me to believe that these three tenants are what are most needed for a great leader. In
terms of a leader's moral character, common consideration has the greatest influence on the success of a leader, because without common consideration,

There are numerous occasions at West Point where I have seen individuals dole out unequal shares of duties or rewards based on their personal
feelings towards the recipients. Fairness and impartiality are fundamental traits in good officers. If a leader singles out an individual for either unfair
rewards or punishments, it signals to the unit that there are other necessary factors needed other than hard work to get ahead, such as cozying up to
the platoon leader to get the good assignments. Soldiers need to know that assignments or tasks they are assigned are either given through merit, or
are given equally to all soldiers in the unit. Unfair treatment is a quick way for soldiers to drift away from the task at hand and instead focus on
getting into the good graces of the leader, leaving the unit less cohesive and the mission unaccomplished. I have witness firsthand here at West Point
many unfair decisions that were made solely out of how much someone liked or hated the person they were dealing with. One such example that comes
to mind is when one cadet was given preferential treatment and allowed to get off morning workouts, while other cadets had to continue. The physical
development staff of my company forces any cadet with an APFT score of less than 260 to show up to morning workouts on Monday, Wednesday and
Friday of each week. These cadets are given the opportunity to stop attending workouts by scoring above a 270 on a diagnostic APFT conducted once
a month.

1.Recommendations for Geographical distance
Geographical distance is a barrier than cannot be erased but its effects can be reduced with a better use of the communication channels.
One issue that it was causing was that some subunits did not feel like they were receiving as much information as productions units get. This was due
to the fact the priorities were different from subsidiaries to subsidiaries.
Bobst should for example make a further use of its Intranet since it's a communication channels that every employees in the group has access to. Thus,
subsidiaries would feel less frustrated not to have access to all the relevant information. Moreover, to prevent teams from feeling neglected, the Intranet
should features more languages.
Additionally, the feeling of isolation of certain subsidiaries in certain decisions could be reduced if Bobst favored more videoconferences to involve
them in the decision making process.

37. I Am An Active Participant
While it is important that my students are enjoying my class, one of the ways I am able to tell that my students are excelling is their ability to
demonstrate their growth through assessments. Although it is important students are excelling, it is also important that students are able to be an
active participant in their own growth. Effective teachers allow students to constantly reflect on how they are doing in class and how they are meeting
classroom goals. Assessment reflection ultimately influences how teachers and learners continue to access material. After teachers have tracked the data
of students, it is then important that they are using a variety of instructional strategies to encourage learners to develop deep understanding of content
areas.
Standard 6 states that teachers should use a variety of assessments to ensure students are reaching their goals. My first piece of evidence includes three
different assessments. Each assessment addresses a different kind of learner. For example, the first assessment is an exit ticket that allows me to see
how students have grasped information at the end of the period. The last assessment I have included is a writing assessment. After students took the
writing assessment, I then recorded their writing scores as demonstrated in my second piece of evidence. I carefully monitor both my student 's reading
and writing progress. In order to engage my students in their own own growth, I provide ample opportunities for students to

38. Structure : Configuration And Complexity
Structure: Configuration and Complexity Configuration Configuration (Burton, et al, 2011) of a firm is also commonly referred to as structure or
architecture. It is frequently expressed and displayed in the form of an organizational chart. When a firm contemplates the structure, it usually isn't from
scratch, but a realignment or reorganization. When these things are considered, there are two major issues that must be considered in order to
effectively form or reform the structure of the organization. how to partition a big task of the whole environment into smaller basic tasks of the
subunits, and how to coordinate these smaller subunit tasks efficiently to achieve organizational goals. Configuration is determined by evaluating:
Product/Service/Customer Orientation – Low or High Functional Specialization – Low or High The standards are: Simple – low functional
specialization, low product/service/customer orientation Functional – high functional specialization, low product/service/customer orientation
Divisional – low functional specialization, high product/service/customer orientation Matrix – high functional specialization, high product/service
/customer orientation; this structure requires high information processing capacity to achieve efficiency and effectiveness In the case of
PricewaterhouseCoopers Public Sector Practice (PwC PSP), we have a matrix configuration, which has features of both a functional hierarchy and a
division hierarchy. In this type of

42. Their Eyes Were Watching God Symbolism Essay
A symbol is an object or an element that represents a meaning or an idea that is beyond its physical form. Symbolism is vital to a story, like the
potatoes are to the meat, so to speak. It provides ancillary to the emotional substance of a novel. While reading through Their Eyes Were Watching God,
written by Zora Neale Hurston, there are numerous symbols that come to light, such as the game of checkers and Janie's hair. Checkers is a game
played on an eight by eight square board that seemingly everyone knows. From children to adults, many enjoying the universal simplicity of the game.
The first appearance of the game occurs right before the start of the seventh chapter. A group of men at the store, including Janie's husband, were

Tony's husband should beat her. Janie comes to her defense, only to be silenced by Joe Starks, her husband. Janie had spoken up for another
woman, only to be silenced by a pending game of checkers. About three chapters later, the town is empty, everyone was going to the baseball game
in Winter Park. Janie was running the store all by herself, although business was slow and she was about half an hour away from closing. A man
comes in to purchase a package of cigarettes. Since the town is all but vacant, he challenges her to a game of checkers. Janie confesses that she does
not know how to play; the man volunteers to teach her. As the underlying tension between Janie and the man builds, the unalloyed contrast
between Joe and the man called "Tea Cake" is clear. Joe was very much about putting Janie in her place; he did not view her as an equal or as a partner.
He considered checkers to be a man's game and did not want Janie wracking her pretty little head over it. Tea Cake feels differently. If he knows how
to play the game and enjoys it, why shouldn't she? It seems that Joe Starks was alone in his disapproval of

43. Personal Narrative : The Basketball Game
I was at an AAU game and my team was doing good, we did not let the other team score on us for the whole tournament ( which was 2 games.) Our
team was so good that we won the tournament. We got to go to an LA Lakers game, and we got front row seats. We were really excited and focused
that they didn't realize that the ball family was sitting right next to them. " Of course!" thought, " It's a home game in L.A." They were so excited that
they all went and ran towards them, but I stopped them. " We don't want to bug them" I remarked," Let's wait until halftime to meet them." So, we
waited for what felt like hours, but in reality was only minutes until finally it was halftime. The team stormed over to them while I waited back a
little bit. I waited until finally it was my turn. I was super excited to meet LaVar, and LaMelo. I went up scared and waited for them to talk. Lavar
Ball said," What's up big baller." I was shook, I had nothing to say but I forced out some words,"Hi, Mr.Ball," that was all I could say I had no
more words I was in shock that I was meeting him. " Hey are you guys the team that won the AAU tournament." Yeah, we won that last week we
would enjoy it if you could come to one of our games." I revealed " Yeah, I would do that." Lavar responded I was stunned, I mean Lavar Ball the
biggest internet sensation was coming to one of my games. I gave him my number so I could call/text him when my next important game was. I was
so excited I forgot to tell my teammates.

Proper PCI'S/PCC'S
Writing this essay about why conducting proper PCI'S and PCC'S are in important before every mission whether or not it's an actual mission or training
mission.
Why do we have inspections? From long experience, the Army has found that some soldiers, if allowed to, will become careless and lax in the
performance of minor barrack duties in their unit. They become accustomed to conditions in their immediate surroundings and overlook minor
deficiencies. Should a soldier fall below the Army standard of performance, you can be assured that someone will notice those deficiencies immediately.

Pre–combat checks and inspections are an individual and leader responsibility. It is
Impossible to overstate their importance. Individual Soldiers are responsible for ensuring
Through their PCCs that all equipment necessary for the mission is on hand. You, the platoon
Leader, are responsible for checking during PCIs that the equipment is serviceable and for
Making corrections. In addition, you conduct pre–execution checks to ensure that all
Equipment specific to a given mission is prepared and in working order before combat.
You and your NCOs cannot delegate the responsibility for inspections. The rigor with
Which you conduct them and the standards you set will affect how well your unit performs
In combat.
Checks and inspections are your No. 1 tool to combat those twin enemies of unit
Readiness–apathy and complacency. Its human nature for people to get used to their
Surroundings and begin to overlook minor problems. By ordering regular inspections, you
Will be able to correct small problems before they become big problems. Checks and
Inspections also help you to bond with your Soldiers. They will feel a sense of satisfaction
And pride in themselves and their unit as they meet standards for their personal appearance,
Living quarters, and equipment.
