What went well in the pitch?
I think my pitch went very successfully as I managed to cover all
areas and describe my film in great detail. The highlight of my
pitch is the way I showed my music. I played the music I had chosen
for the last scene, and as it was playing I described and acted out
what was happening to give the panel a clear idea of how the scene
would look.
What didn’t go well in the pitch?
I struggled to find which page my marketplace information was on,
but once I had found it the pitch ran smoothly. I also forgot to
mention that I plan to submit my short film to shortoftheweek.com.
What did the panel say?
The panel said I spoke confidently, covered all areas and they
particularly liked my use of music. They said I could have included
more detail about the client.
How will you take this on board for future pitches?
I will ensure sure that I am always well prepared and rehearsed as
well as checking that my marketplace has all the information it
needs about the client.
Which idea are you going to take forward to develop into your short
film?
I am going to carry on with my pre-production of Consent Matters as
it is the idea I am most passionate about and feel the most prepared
to make. I think that with hard work, this film could have great
power and be a useful tool for consent education within schools and
colleges.
