- An example of a tool to facilitate data sharing and collaboration no matter where you call “office” is Intuit QuickBase (next slide)
- Regardless of device or location, QuickBase will help you meet the needs of the new collaborative workplace, later on we’ll show you how
- New collaboration tools give you the power to solve your own workplace process/communication/collaboration issues, without need of IT resources
- Flexible Work “Needs Flexible --- -Tools” –Tools to get your work done should be as flexible as your work environment, and I don’t mean just open cubicles and spaces, but working from home, dispersed workforces and teams, contractors, freelancers, third party partners, etc. needing to share, collaborate, control (access, etc.) TRACK, and REPORT on data (making it more accessible, etc.)
- The problem with downloading too many free collaboration and file sharing tools like Box, Dropbox, etc. (disparate, too many sources, who is using what?)
- Using Microsoft Excel and Outlook – emailing around Excel updates (losing changes, creating more manual work) is a common problem we hear
