2. Joseph Henry, a graduate student at
the University of Alabama
He is running all the way from
Washington, D.C., to Guelph to draw
attention to the summit

3. He will begin his journey in front of
the White House today crossing
through Maryland and Pennsylvania
before cutting through the western tip
of New York State into Canada

4. Joe Henry ran 500 miles from Washington, D.C.
to the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario,
Canada.
He had attempted to raising awareness and also, raise
$100,000 to fight world hunger.

5. He was motivated to try
to help the needy who
suffered from this horrible
phenomenon when he
learned that nearly one
billion people suffer from
chronic hunger, and more
than 25,000 die every day.
This money can potentially feed 25,000 school
children one meal with WFP’s School Meals
Program.

6. I think that it is crucial that we help others who are in
need so that we can change their lives and provide
them with a meaningful and bright future.
Thus, I feel that this project is meaningful as it helps
the community, the society and ultimately, everyone.
