The students have been learning about the human body this week. They started with the skeleton, learning about the cranium which protects the brain. Classmates brought games to help learn the body parts. The students also learned about the vertebrae that make up the spine and allow standing and movement. To view bones, special x-ray photos called radiographs are used. Some students brought radiographs of themselves or family members to class. A classmate even brought a video of an ultrasound where they could see the skeleton inside his mother's stomach.
