2. How we use Social Media is differential, yet undeniable. You may not have a
Facebook or Twitter account but you will know at least one person close to you
that does.
So the morale of this story is that even if you don’t participate in the electronic
invasion somebody near to you does and you will be guilty of hijacking
somebodies Facebook even just for a little bit at some point in the period of a
month.
So yes, we ALL Facebook or Tweet.
3. Pandora or Jango are two examples of interactive music applications.
When we set up our individual Pandora account we choose bands that
we like and the computer program generates a playlist to compliment
our expected tastes. When we hear music we can like, dislike, and
expose us to all kinds of music and bands we have not had access to or
though of listening to. Online TV and movie services such as Netflix will
also give you suggestions based upon previous choices and expand our
personal horizons. These are more personal social media but these new
options of music and movies will affect our choices and some like
Pandora will allow us to link our music to Facebook or Twitter.
4. Other social media…..Blogs. Everybody has participated in at least one
blog. Be it on a website in the comment box, Facebook, News portlets.
Everybody has added a comment to a comment box or is statisticly likely
to add to at least one. There are blogs attached to piercing jewelry
outlet stores such as Tribalectic.com, bmezine.com, news portlets like
Yahoo or any of the online newspapers, and of course some people will
go into the good old fashioned chat room. Pic’s can be linked or
sometimes placed into the boxes. Music, Web sites, Pic’s can all be
linked and shared. And yes dare I say, E Mail. We all participate to one
degree or another with the electronic post.
5. Some of us live on Facebook, some of us use the computer as necessary. All
of us will eventually share information intentionally on the internet. Be it on
FB or a comment box on a newspaper article or share a song with friend. The
digital reality is all around us and we will not avoid it even if we stay off E
media, we all have at least one friend on Twitter or FB so you can bet you are
too. We choose our personal level of involvement but be it E Mail, blog, or
Book, but we are all living in the digital world.
