1,5 kg sauerkraut
2 onions, cut into small pieces
2 spoons of oil
1 sausage, cut into slices
250 g beef without bones, cut into
cubes
250 g veal, cut into cubes
100 g bacon, cut unto cubes
150 ml red wine
3 spoons of tomato sause
1/2 handful of dried mushrooms
1/2 handful of dried plums
2 laurel leaves
3 seeds of allspice
1 spoon of carum
1 spoon of marjoram
Salt and pepper

If the sauerkraut is
very bitter, rinse it
with water. Drain the
water and cut into
small pieces. Put in a
big pot. Pour boiling
water, add plums,
allspice and laurel
leaves. Cover the pot
and braise the mixture
until the sauerkraut is
soft (approximately 50
min.).
4. PreparationPreparation
Meanwhile, pour dried
mushrooms with boiling water
and leave.
Fry onion and sausage.
In a separate pot boil 1 litre of
water. Drop pieces of beef, veal
and bacon into the boiling water.
Cook the meat for about 20
minutes, then drain.
When the sauerkraut is soft, add
drained mushrooms, meat, onion
and sausage. Cook the mixture
without cover for about 20
minutes. If there is too much
water, pour it out. Add red wine
and cook for 15 minutes more.
Add carum, marioram, salt and
pepper. You can add tomato
sause.
