FEDEX - MULTIPLE LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE US
Promoted to increasingly responsible positions during tenure with the company. (1985 to Present)
OPERATIONS MANAGER  Los Angeles, CA
Direct daily operations at this major service HUB based out of Los Angeles International Airport.
Manage 25 Direct Reports, including Truck Drivers. Provide indirect supervision to a staff of 2000+
employees. Interact with various regulatory agencies and brokers to ensure the timely and efficient
receipt and delivery of domestic and international packages.
Collaborate with aircraft and airport staff to maintain a continuously smooth movement of incoming
and out-going packages between the aircraft to the distribution center. Schedule repairs and
maintenance of package processing equipment and delivery trucks. Ensure all customer packages
are received, dispatched and delivered within strict time constraints. (2012 to Present)
 Assist in administering an annual operating budget of $2 million to $5 million.
 Achieved a 1000-day safety record with zero accidents and incidents.
 Ensure compliance with all OSHA, FAA, FDA, DOT and US Customs regulations.
 Lead and mentor management-level staff, and oversee the training of all package handlers and
drivers in corporate and federal policies and regulations.
 Continuously review HUB operations, and implement improvements as necessary to maximize
efficiency and control costs while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
SENIOR MANAGER  Irvine & Costa Mesa, CA
Managed all operations at this large overnight delivery facility, based out of the Irvine California
facility that generated $200 M to $300 M in annual revenue. Oversaw a staff of 12 Managers and
300 hourly employees. Administered a $40 million expense budget.
Partnered with sales to service key accounts, such as Toshiba, BioRad and Edwards Lifescience,
and to create operational strategies for new accounts, such as arranging special pickups for
emergency medical shipments. Served as key liaison with other area airports and international
agents. Taught new manager training classes. (1997 to 2012)
Major Project:
 Oversaw the closing of the Santa Ana facility and its merger with the John Wayne Airport and
Irvine Operation. Worked closely with engineering and HR to reconstruct operation routes.
Successfully completed the project within a 4-6 month timeframe.
